What a great lunch experience my brother and I had at the Garden Cafe! I've been living in Waycross for 9 months now and this is the first time I've eaten here. The food was so good! I had the Toasted Walnut Chicken salad sandwich and the shrimp bisque soup...oh my, so good!! The atmosphere is very nice with the different tables and vintage chairs beautiful hardwood floors. I will definitely be back and next time sit outside in the beautiful patio. Oh and can't forget to mention what a lovely waitress we had!

There aren't enough stars here for Garden Cafe. It's a bright, inviting space that serves delicious home-cooked style food. The Cuban sandwich and the shrimp bisque were fresh and full of flavor. The real reason to come, though, is for the friendly service. It's my first day in Blackshear and the 4 young ladies in the kitchen could not have been nicer or more generous. I left with a list of local recommendations along with a full belly. Thanks, Sarah, for a great meal and a memorable experience.

The owner of the restaurant was very rude. She called us out in front of all the employees and other customers for not putting a tip on the card we used to pay for our lunch. It was a take out order and someone else paid for it. She said that we were rude for not leaving a tip for the large order we placed. The large order was five people and we did give a tip in cash to the younger lady helping her. She had no right to make a statement like that out loud in front of other people. So here is my tip for her. Find yourself another job because you certainly don't know how to treat people. I gave it one star but honestly she didn't even deserve that.

This cafe is so charming and unique. The customer service was excellent. The food was delicious. The blueberry cake was amazing. The owner was hands on and very warm. Everything about this place was so pleasant. I highly recommend’

Great food! Good service! Good atmosphere! Dine in the dining room or on the screen covered patio. You can see the park across the street from the dining patio. James and Kimberly know how to take care of you and make you feel special. The shrimp bisque is phenomenal, as well as the Reuben sandwich. My daughter loves the Walnut Chicken Salad!

Oh my!!! The walnut chicken salad is to die for!!! I love sitting outside listening to the water fountain. (So relaxing) The ladies and gentleman are always so sweet!! And they always have homemade cake and other desserts!! No complaints at all about this lovely place!!! 😍😍

This has got to be my favorite place to dine out. I guess it qualifies as eclectic. I just call it wonderful. Soup, salad, and sandwich is the menu, but that is such an inadequate description. The best sandwiches around (ask for The Buddy, complete meal in two hands!); the best soups, at least three to choose from daily; and this is the only place I'll eat a Greek salad. Nobody has one to compare. They use REAL lettuce, not iceberg! The Trio Salad is a super hit, as well. The place is small in the old section of Blackshear but it has a nice garden area for au fresco dining. Open 11-2, Tues-Sat., which is too bad because I would eat here three times a day!

Excellent food at good prices. Quirky surroundings right on the train tracks (it's train themed too). Service is sadly lacking. It's difficult to get waited on, so, expect a long wait. Otherwise, it's a nice place.

When in Blackshear and in need of lunch... The Garden Cafe makes great hot and cold sandwiches at a reasonable price with superb service. They also do a great service to Blackshear’s downtown by using a historic building for their business.

Charming Cafe...CLEARLY a staple of the community...not just because they've been there for almost 20 years but because it's an intersection for catching up, running in to and lunch meetings...BTW don't leave without trying their chicken salad !!
