Greatest hardware store I've ever been in. Everyone there was happy and smiling and eager to help. Your met at the door with kind greetings. Associate Bill Hunter was extremely helpful with my issue and Ms. Cynthia is a genius. I wish all places of business was like this ACE Hardware!!!!

They advertise screen repairs and I took some by. Went back after three weeks and was told they were not a priority. Wood customers come first. Only one person knows how to do screens. Why can’t some of those boys sitting around in the back learn? Poor management not to teach and train more than one employee. I was basically told to like it or lump itIt didn’t matter that I spend a lot of money here because I like to buy local. Now I have to buy lumber from Lowe’s. I hate buying national but at least if Lowe’s makes a mistake they would correct it. I would have been satisfied if someone would have just said sorry about that, we will get them done by next Saturday.Seems like arrogance of being the only full hardware store in town. They didn’t have to take care of me because where else could I go. Ace Hardware went out of business in this town once before. Looks like it’s destined to happen again.

For a home town lumber yard, they have just about anything you want. There are a few things you have to go elsewhere to get, but not much. Also, surprisingly, they are normally cheaper than the big box stores. Again, there are a few things that they're more expensive on, but really good prices on most everything.

This is the closest Ace Hardware in Southeast Georgia within an 1 hour radius of Douglas that I truly call a real Ace Hardware. I've been to several around Douglas and the Hunter Johnson Lumber Company in Baxley is by far the best. My main reason for this is because the people were very friendly and helpful. Also this location and the one in Blackshear were the only Ace Hardware's within a 1 hour radius of Douglas that would accept the 50% off a $30 item on Black Friday keep on that is on Ace Hardware's website. I don't think any of these other Ace Hardware's that call themselves Ace Hardware's and don't honor Ace Hardware coupons should be able to call themselves a legitimate Ace Hardware. When you franchise a name you should honor everything that accompanies that brand name. When you don't you might as well be an independent hardware store, because it's very misleading.
