Us & our entire canine pack love taking joyrides to Ball Ground Hounds! We frequent the store for all of our high value treats (and even some for our cat too). Our boarding & training students love coming in to select their favorite items as a reward for working hard.We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some of the owners/ staff members at local vendor events as well. We couldn’t brag on them enough! We love our friends at Ball Ground Hounds!

Bought this small size brown Chilly Dog sweater here when she was little thinking she was fully grown. Still fits BUT the new medium fits much better and allows for a little shrinkage since it is pure wool 100% hand knitted (see inside out pic) by descendants of Inca Indians in Peru. The new medium Chilly Dog brand grey one looks awesome on her.

Ballground hounds is a pet parents dream! They have so many locally sourced options for my animals! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their products. If they don’t have when you are looking for they always offer to order the product. The prices are more than fair, often cheaper than big pet retail stores. Not to mention everything is better quality, and they are locally owned!!They have a loyalty rewards program! I always go in for all my dogs and cats food, treats, and supplements. If you haven’t been I would definitely recommend checking them out.

I had an awesome experience! As soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately, my beagle is skittish but everyone there was very patient with her which I sincerely appreciated. Great selection, there's something for everyone, and very agreeable prices. She was able to help me find some good treats and I do appreciate good salesmanship. I love to shop small and will definitely be coming back here soon.She loves the "no raw hide" raw hide and her caterpillar!

Update: Ball Ground Hounds has moved! They moved a few store fronts down the block. They are almost across the street from the Cajun restaurant. The new location is much nicer, they even have a bird section too. Come and see the new store, it's amazing what they have in it.Ron knows his products and is very helpful. Quality dog food, great treats and toys! A must visit place for all of your dog needs.

Ball Ground Hounds is a great pet store! They are knowledgeable and helpful and also have very competitive pricing on their stock. My pup has had digestive issues for about a year and a half. Jennifer told me about a hair strand test. We used it and it has made an amazing difference for our dog. They have been so helpful to us. Highly recommend this store and staff.

They are willing to get in other brands of dog food. I can order what I want as needed vs. looking for a stocked item that is only in 1 other store (2 locations though) in all of Atlanta. This is closer and I'm guaranteed how much I get vs hoping there is stock.They have many other worthwhile products too!Friendly snd knowledgeable staff. Both which are hard to find anywhere. Especially in traditional pet stores.Prices are reasonable. Some can be considered high but they make up for that in service and quality.Definitely recommend.Initially got the impression they were just a fancy pet store for people with too much money when I first moved here. Now that they are in their new location, they have been a great bonus to the area and Ball Ground and worth shopping at.

We have a cat that was in horrible shape- loosing fur, hot spots, constantly scratching. I purchased a 5Strands test after talking to the owner. WOW, what a difference it made. We found out what our cat was allergic to and the owner helped me find a food that fit his needs. I would recommend this test for any pet having any skin issues. Overall, we absolutely LOVE this place!!!

Ball Ground Hounds is a local small business that I absolutely love supporting. And the customer service is always above and beyond. For example, I called them 30 minutes before closing today and let them know I needed an emergency solution for a recently neutered dog that was trying to pull out his own stitches. I was stuck in traffic in Atlanta and could not get back before closing, but they let me call and pay for it over the phone and make arrangements to pick it up that evening. I could not have been more appreciative. Yes, you might pay a little bit more when coming here compared to ordering online, but supporting a local business and the employees who go above and beyond makes it so very worthwhile.

Amazing customer service!! I’m in the area every so often to dog sit. Recently, the owners forgot to stock up on dog food so they had called in to Ball Ground Hounds and paid ahead of time. However, I was at work until after closing time and could not pick it up. I called and asked Jennifer if she could just hold it until the next morning and she offered to personally drop it off at the house. I really appreciate it!!

Me and my wife went in for the first time yesterday and loved this place! We were greeted by Ned the goldendoodle who totally reminded me if my doodle Bristol that passed away last year! He was a great helper! The staff was very friendly and helped us figure out what kind of food to switch our current doodle puppy to when he gets a little older and also sold us two frozen femur bones that I didn't even know you could get anywhere and our pup loved it! We will definitely be back to buy our pet products here from now on!!

Such a cute place! We brought our 13 week old golden doodle in to pick out some toys and treats! The shop owner was so great and knowledgeable. The shop is also convenient to other great stores in the area! It's a must see with your pup!

Owner is very knowledgeable about his products. He was able to help us find a new food for Bailey that has helped his food allergies. Owners son is helpful also! Quaint little shop in downtown Ball Ground also sells treats, toys, shampoos, and gifts for lovers of both cats and dogs. Prices are very good. We prefer these great independent shops over Amazon any day.. Stop by and get your personal also!

Great small business. They carry high quality dog food like fromm and Taste of the Wild and prices are comparable to amazon and tractor supply. The owners are great and bring in new toys and treats you can't find at Pet smart. Great local business.
