I went into the store at Austell in Georgis on 4/19 to pick up a large order of fish for a STEM event at my kids school which are preschool and elementary aged. The order was prepared, however, when I considered ordering more fish, the manager Megan told me that she refuses to sell me the fish because she is not confident that the fish are going to a good home. This was very racist and selfish. Further stating that she does not feel comfortable with the fish going to a school event.As she overheard my conversation to a nearby couple about this environmentally sustainable STEM school in the area and the things that they do. She then stated that she apologizes she thought it was a public school. Even more judgemental. I'm not sure who would without a child an experience of nature.Regardless of the function, school type, or purpose her behavior was very inappropriate regarding the sale. An apology was not merely enough for the disrespect that was displayed.I will not shop at this store again and she needs leadership training if she is a manager because the customer service was the most suboptimal. She should be disciplined.The kids at the school loves animals and they learn with them. To say the least they were super excited to care for the fish, asking very high level questions to ensure proper care. She should not be allowed to display such again. I wish I had recorded her, her tone, and body language. You know know whom you are interfacing with. I could've been from the corporate office or a biologist ( as I am)!People like this need education of communication and people skills. I have notified our school and they were extremely upset. NEVER AGAIN!

If you have a picky one and trying to find a perfect dog food for him/her, DO NOT go to any PetSmart. They don’t accept opened dog food. It is their policy. GO TO PETCO instead. They understand all dog have different tastes, and let people return opened but not wanted dog food.

Store was clean and well organized. They had everything I needed in stock. Had 2 associates ask me if I needed help. Animal habitats and fish tanks were clean and attractive. Adopted a kitty from there last week. He is a sweetie.

Horrible!! Twice now my dog has come home smelling so badly that we have had to open our windows since it made the entire house smell. He had no offensive odor before we dropped him off. I actually need to pay a different groomer the day after to get him bathed.

I mainly come here to purchase dog food. The staff do wear masks. Customers are free to either wear them, or not. Didn't really seem to be acknowledged by employees that were walking down the aisle with a greeting, or to see if I needed assistance. It's fine though, I usually prefer just doing my own thing.

Took my Bull mastiff to get Washed/conditioned, ears cleaned, nails clipped and filled. When I dropped her off they were a little busy, but to be expected on a Saturday at 11am, they quoted an hour & a half to complete everything...so I went to run some errands & I came back around 12:30 walked in and they were finishing up. The technician went over everything that was completed and my baby looked and smelled great. Price was fair as well. The team was helpful & professional. Thank you for making the process happy and successful.

I’ve brought my dog Leo here 3 times for grooming and I can’t rave enough about their staff!! Taurin has taken care of my fur baby I believe twice and leaves him sooooo good!! My baby is not kennel trained and isn’t a fan of the blow dryer but I can tell Taurin is very patient with him, I never receive a stressed pup! I had a schedule mishap today and got to his appt late as well as took a bit longer to pick him up and they were still very kind! Leo had a small accident on the floor when we arrived and in the midst of a stressful day, it was relieving to be treated so kindly by the staff here. We love our local PetSmart! <3

Employee that helped me was great. I was looking for a Quality made Harness for our new dog Bailey. The guy that helped me showed me several different ones in different price options. He tried several on her so we could find a great fit. I got exactly what I was looking for and grabbed some treats for her too. We will definitely be back again!

I walked in with little to no knowledge on how to care for my aquatic turtle 🐢 and the staff gave some much needed information I didn't know about caring for my aquatic turtle. The female staff was so nice and really helpful to the point that she offered up her own personal duck weed for me to take home for free from her own personal batch. I was astonished by the customer service given to me. I live in Douglasville and the staff at that pet smart don't know about any other pets unless it's dogs or cats . And are not very personable when I ask about reptiles or fish or birds or even rabbits. So I say that to say this pet smart at East -west connecter will definitely be my go to store.

I've been taking my dog there for grooming for a couple of years. They're very professional and my dog loves it. They always call to let me know if my dog's hair is matted or if he can't get the cut I asked for. Excellent customer service.

Staff was very friendly but the betta fish were in the worst conditions I’ve seen in a pet store - all of the cups were either full of waste, green, or yellow. I purchased one to attempt to save it but it died in the cup while I was getting a tank together. Sad. No reason for them to be in those conditions.

I love this location. Every part of the store us filled with awesome customer service. We take our puppy here for her grooming needs and every time Mellow comes in she is given a lot of love and attention. I can't go anywhere else that shows mellow the attention she gets here.

Friendly staff. The store is on the smaller side and most items had been picked over. However I was able to find some dog shampoo and snag a toy. The shelves for clothing were empty as well as the clearance toys.

Extremely irritated and unhappy! Called ahead in search of Superworms for my bearded dragon and was told they were available. Took my lunch break to pick some up and was shocked to find ONE CONTAINER, dated 8/17! (This was yesterday,!9/8!)Easily 75% of them were dead and numerous cannibalised pieces in a 25 count container!!!Too lazy to check???What a waste of a lunch break!!!

I have a 5 year old Chi-Weenie. He spent 2 years at a no-kill shelter and has been with me for over two years. I am trying to socialize him as he has huge trust issues. This is a perfect place for that.

My family and I just recently moved here from Dallas Tx and my doggy has been more anxious and has been barking at strangers. The Dog House receptionist denied him within seconds of us being their building. Brittany at Petsmart was patient with my dog and said he was very well behaved once I left. Thank you guys so much!

This is my local PetSmart and it's always my go-to for pet supplies, grooming and it has a Banfield vet for regular check ups. It's always clean and they have everything someone would need for new pets. I see they also do pet training.

I have used them for some time for grooming. Once a groomer sliced open the skin on my dog's belly but they had the vet sew him up. She was new and I asked that she not be allowed to groom him again. I had no other issues. The staff were friendly and seemed to handle my neurotic dog well. Recently he had an "episode" there. He has a history of absense seizures, nonviolent, small shakes. The vet on site didn't find anything wrong but they sent him back with half a cut (butt shaved, front not) and told me they can't groom him anymore. I took him to the vet and they found nothing wrong either. While i get the liability issue, this leaves me in a big lurch.
