Darryl is absolutely amazing. Being that my fur baby is 13 yo, he’s terrified of dryers. It’s makes him #1 and #2 and makes him shake uncontrollably- so after several groomers ignored my concerns - they still dried him and it was just sooo bad for my sweet Martini. I’ve now been washing him myself but Darryl was the only groomer that accepted that and still made sure my fur baby looked amazing. You could tell he’s good with senior dog. When i dropped off Tini this second time, he went willingly without any hesitation. Next time Darry said he can wash Tini for me and we will see how he does. But for once, in a very long time, there a groomer I actually trust and I’m so happy with the results so far. Thank you Darryl 🏽- Proud Cocker Spaniel Mom

I am so glad I chose The Pet Set for grooming my dog. From the confirmation phone call, to check in, everyone at the front desk was so warm and welcoming I felt so at ease dropping my baby off there. He came back home so fresh and his coat was so shiny! They clearly took their time to ensure he was perfect. I will be back to use their daycare services as well since I know the staff there is amazing!

Me and my pup Kash had a wonderful experience today. Walking through the front door we were immediately greeted by the front staff who were very welcoming. My dog Kash was set for a bath with Jenee’, who did a wonderful job. Did I mention he smelled sooooo good, and the scent lasted about 2 weeks! Overall, I’ll definitely recommend this place to family & friends. And we will be back soon for another appointment with Jenee’ 😌.

I have been to the Pet Set for both grooming and day care.Grooming: I brought my dog for grooming when I first adopter her around 8 months ago because I wanted her to have a positive experience with her first bath and nail trimming. When I picked her up, it was obvious they did not cut her nails, so I essentially spent $65 ($75 after tip) on a bath and I had to cut her nails myself.Daycare: I heard from a friend that brings her dog here that they will take dogs earlier than the listed hours, which is great since I'm a nurse and I'm typically working from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM. When I scheduled the temperament test, they told me I could leave her there as long as I wanted to get my money's worth. When I dropped her off, they told me I had to be there by 3. Not a big deal, I just moved some plans around. Then, they took my dog back without giving me a tour or going through the schedule with me like they stated they would do on their website. When I brought her in, they let all of the other dogs there crowd her at the gate and told me to leave. When I came back at 3, all they told me was that she was nervous but would get used to it. The first times I dropped her off at daycare at 6AM I had absolutely no issues, and was told she had a better day and enjoyed playing with one specific dog. This past weekend, I confirmed that they would be able to take Pepper at 6AM both Saturday and Sunday, which they said they would. When I came on Saturday, I spent 20 minutes knocking on the door, trying to get the attention of the worker who had headphones in. If you were aware that someone was coming to drop their dog off at 6AM, why would you have your music so loud that you couldn't hear anything else? I tried calling the store multiple times and was not able to get through since it was not business hours. Eventually, I was able to get her attention but ended up being late to work. The manager and I spoke and she was able to give me contact information for the two people that are usually there in the morning on weekends, which I was really appreciative of. The next day, I went to drop Pepper off at 6 AM again. I knocked on the door, no answer. I texted the worker that was supposed to be there, no answer. I called him, and he said he was still at home and had just woken up but would be there in an hour and asked if I could bring her by in an hour. I said no, I can't just leave my job. I was even later than the day before because I had to drive her BACK home at 6:15. I really wanted to give the Pet Set the benefit of the doubt because they were accommodating my long schedule, but they have screwed me over and gave me my 2 out of 3 late strikes I am allowed at work.I should have listened to the other negative reviews. I will not be going back to the Pet Set for grooming, boarding, or day care again. I gave 2 stars because they were willing to accommodate me, but that means nothing if it can't actually be executed.

We take our obnoxious Weimaraner here for daycare and occasional bath and I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the overall quality of this place! The staff is so friendly and professional which is a must when handling our overexcited crazy fur baby. It’s so nice being able to text them and receive a prompt response to my reservation or questions. The store is so clean and stocked full of unique pet supplies and treats… and it even smells nice! It is a bit pricier than most for boarding/daycare and grooming, but I would say the quality is definitely worth it and I would recommend it 100% to anyone looking for a quality place to leave their doggo with confidence that they will be well cared for.

Bri was very helpful on the phone and in person. The staff was very friendly when I walked into the store. Lauren did a good job with the haircut. I recommend! Parking is a little hectic though but not Pet Set problem.

The best place to grab your furry family member a wonderful treat, toy and clothes!! Bre always takes care of me. Her energy in the morning is something I look forward to every time I step in here. Am Happy w my fur baby hair cut but the kept her for 5 hours , her appointment was at 9:30 am a the groomer wasn’t there on time . I was told that the assistant would wash her a get her ready for the groomer , I was upset that I had to wait 5 hours to get my baby on a Wednesday . A the manger add fuel to the fire a didn’t make the situation better . She was rude an inconsiderate of my feelings , I love the groomers work but the manger was the real problem! I will be blogging about this situation !

Called last minute on a Saturday and they were very accommodating to trim my cat's claws that same morning. They worked very efficiently and got my cat ready in no time. Thank you for such welcoming and great service!

Average prices for the area and indoor and outdoor play areas. My concern is that they allow unneutered male dogs in with the play groups and do not advertise that. Females are required to be spayed. When I came for my dogs' first day of day care, there were 3 intact males on the play group. One followed my spayed female for the entire 3 hour visit, trying to mount her. She couldn't relax or play with the other dogs and was visibly intimidated. She kept running under furniture to avoid him and running to the attendant. Only one attendant was present with the dogs during my visit.

I have used The Pet Set for over a year for our shih tzu’s grooming. They are super easy to schedule with (through text) and always have availability quickly. My dog looks and smells amazing afterwards thanks to our groomer, Emily. She always does a great job. Checking in and out is always easy as well, and the staff are kind. Thank you, Pet Set!😊

I would like to compliment the groomer on my dog's haircut. However, I had to return the next day to finish the grooming process. This was not an issue for me. Yesterday, while my dog was getting a tummy rub outside, I noticed that one of her nipples was nipped. Although I understand that accidents can happen, I am disappointed that they did not inform me. If they had, I would have taken necessary precautions such as keeping an eye on it, keeping it clean, or taking her to the vet if necessary. This incident was unprofessional and unfortunate. Initially, I thought about calling to address the issue, but I don't have enough patience for someone to play in my face when they knew what was up.

I scheduled a grooming appointment for my cat. I was told to arrive before 12 as 12 was the cut off for time feline grooming. I arrived at 11:35 and was told I could either leave my cat there and come back or stay to talk with the groomer when she arrived. They told me they will call me with the result of the assessment. However, I wanted to be present for the assessment and talk to the groomer in person since I was nervous as it was my cats first professional grooming. I was first told she would be here by 12. After the groomer failed to show up at 12 it quickly became 12:30. I waited patiently understanding things happen that cause people to be late. But my final straw was watching the groomer arrive after 12:30 and proceeding to talk on the phone outside on the sidewalk. I waited for an additional 15 mins before another worker went to see what she was doing. The other employee returned saying she was on an important phone call. To me, this coupled with the hour of waiting was just completely unprofessional. I decided to take my cat back and not get groomed by this business. It was unprofessional telling me to arrive at certain time when the groomer isn’t even there and then blatantly having me wait while she’s on the phone after I’ve been there for more than an hour trying to speak with her. I’m very disappointed.

We tried Pet Set Briarcliff today for the first time and had a great experience!Front desk staff was friendly and Darryl (not sure spelling of their name!) did a lovely groom on my doodle Rigby. I showed a picture of one of his prior grooms (we just moved to the area from the midwest) and they nailed it! They will definitely be our groomer from now on. We tried a different shop in Buckhead initially (not a Pet Set franchise) and I was unsatisfied with the customer service and the groom my pup received which made this experience even better.I found pricing to be very reasonable (my dog is 60+ lbs) and it was cheaper than our prior Pet Smart groomer in Iowa! I dropped him off at 9:30 and he was ready by 1 which I thought was great given how large he is, and the shape he was in from his prior groom.. Very happy with this shop. Also the weekend scheduling is very convenient for us, not to mention how easy it was to schedule, and how quickly they were able to get us in. My dog was also in a great mood when I picked him up :) We’ll be back! Thanks y’all!

I have been bringing my dog here for years. Never Again. I am so sick of being harassed about my dogs vaccines. I did what you asked and it's still not good enough. The quality of service has significantly changed at the font desk as well as the groomers. If Darryl is not there to service your pet, please take them somewhere else. The harassment and lack of consideration is real. I paid 87 and some change for my 2 dogs this past summer. I picked them up last night and was charges 130. The rude desk clerk said there was a significant price increase in August. I called twice for this recent appointment and I come from Douglasville. I was never told about a price increase or that I need to bring in shot records AGAIN. They guy initially was telling me that I could not drop the dogs off. I told the guy last night that after all this time of doing business here, I am done. Loyalty should be mutual. Please take your pets somewhere else. This business no longer appreciate their customers. Oh did I mention how uneven and terrible my dogs look. What happen to the flea bath? The rude front desk guy said, it wasn't listed. Damn, I mentioned it twice. Why would you have any dog shampoo that does not have a flea treatment in it.... this place has become worthless.

I have used the Pet Set on Briarcliff Rd. off and on for many years. The staff are friendly and Darrel is an amazing groomer. He always does a great job on my dog. 5 stars for Darrel.Years ago, the Pet Set stopped accepting checks for payment. No big deal. Most recently, they have begun charging 3.99% if you use a credit card for payment. Same fee for use of a debit card. I think this is a poor business practice. I would rather pay a little more for services and not have this added "convenience fee." I own a retail and service business and would have a customer revolt if we tried to pass along our credit cards fees to customers. Our credit cards fees average out to 2.9% so I'm confused as to the 3.99% fee charged by the Pet Set. Regardless, it's the cost of doing business and passing along an excessively high fee to your customers is not customer friendly.

I've given this place multiple chances. Probably enough chances to total $1000 in dog grooming over 2 years. Every single time, they blow it. I've left specific pictures and communicated very cleary on how to cut my dog. Nothing too difficult. This is North Druid Hills and everyone has a golden doodle, let's be real. Drop of 10am, dog won't be ready until 730pm. You call and check, 30 minutes they say. Every single time it has turned into hours longer, like they didn't even start grooming the dog until i Initiate conversation to check status. Simply unacceptable on all levels.

I’m just letting you know that the oldest lady and a younger girl was in the store when I came in about 2-3 weeks ago. Neither one acknowledged me when I walked in! I seen the unfriendly atmosphere right away and politely walked out! That’s not a place I would like to have taken me Piper too! Customer service Sucks!! F- No and there were no other customers in the store or they were not on the phone! Just did not acknowledge me when I walked in! I since then found Piper another place to take her to for boarding and grooming! Thanks for not addressing a paying customer!
