Angel at The Clean Dog has been taking such good care of my new fur baby. He’s only 5 months old so we can’t trim his hair down too low yet. Angel was patient, listened to my concerns, and made great suggestions. We’re still getting Maximillion accustomed to the whole grooming process, but I know he’s in great hands. Max came home looking and smelling like a million bucks. Thank you Angel! I highly recommend the Clean Dog!

I've been bringing my dog here for day care once or twice a week, plus regular grooming and occasionally boarding as well, for a couple years now. I have always found the staff to be cordial and friendly, as well as professional. My dog is 105 pounds of muscle, energy and high maintenance, even at age 8 and I am thankful that the staff gives him good attention and care each time he's there. Because dogs are dogs, he has had his conflicts with other guests there at times, but they the staff seems to find a way to accommodate his needs as well as any other dogs' needs every time. I own a small business which is, in a vastly different way, client services oriented, so I'm aware that it's impossible to please everyone and these reviews bear that out. Speaking from my own experience, I am thankful that this business and its staff exist. Both my life and, more to the point of this review, my dog's life have been better for their being here. I could not recommend this business more strongly.

Be warned!!!! The worst experience even and the owner (Maria) was absolutely horrible! I wish there was a way to give this place a negative score.I took my Golden doodle for a grooming appointment at the Clean Dog. I had never used this groomer, but this business was the only groomer in the area with available appointments. I took my 10 month old puppy there and requested that they not cut her hair low because I love her hair length. The owner greeted me and informed me that my puppy had some matting and it may be impossible to keep her fur, but she would let the groomer assess my puppy and give me a call back. The groomer called and informed me that it might be best to cut my puppy’s hair down for her comfort because she had lot of matting. She did not have a lot of matting, but I agreed to let them cut her fur down so we could start over. When I picked up my puppy, her fur was soooooo uneven. Many places were cut to the skin and other places she had fur. I was shocked. I asked the groomer why was my puppy’s fur so uneven and she indicated it was to preserve as much of her fur as possible. My dog left looking like she had the mang. I paid $145 for the service. I think I was in so much shock that I just wanted to leave. The next day I called the owner and took my puppy up to the business so she could see how my puppy looked. It was so traumatic. She tried to gaslight me and tell me that I requested this cut. She then indicated she would be happy to cut my puppy’s hair even, but she could not provide a refund. I told her I didn’t trust her or her groomers around my puppy. I believe the groomer was practicing on my puppy and maybe under qualified based on the results I got. I could never imagine an experienced groomer cutting a dog’s hair the way she cut my puppy’s hair. Be warned!!!! The worst experience even and the owner (Maria) was absolutely horrible!

BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I stopped taking my previous dog to this place years ago after getting hit with multiple "dematting fees" (more on this later). After the passage of time and seeing the new location on Edgewood, I figured I would give the place another chance with my current pup. This was a mistake. An hour after drop-off, the groomer called to ask if she could cut my 3-year old Wheaten Terrier's fur down because he was matted. I expressly told her not to do so. She did not listen, or tell me she could not do as I instructed. When we picked him up, our dog looked like a clown. The groomer ignored my instructions and shaved down his fur so closely that he developed skin irritation bumps that he is still gnawing on three days later. Making matters worse was the Clean Dog's decision to charge me their go-to $25 dematting fee, even though the groomer SHAVED the dog. When I explained my disappointment to the groomer, she told me that she would have the Clean Dog's owner contact me. It has been three days, and I have heard from no one. (Other reviewers have suggested that leaving negative reviews is the only way one hears from the owner.)In short, if your dog requires any degree of grooming skill, you would be wise to avoid this place. If you do not, you could end up paying $120 for a dog-cut that looks like this:

As my baby gets older, her hair tends matte more around her harness no matter how much I brush. The Clean Dog is always able to get them out with their hot oil treatment, which I’m so thankful for. I went to Raven last time and showed her a picture of what I wanted from a cut she had years ago from another groomer further away from me. No one has been able to replicate this cut, but Raven did! She was so kind to my baby as well. This is my second time going and I’ve had no complaints. Will definitely keep going back. I also love how you can schedule appointments and upload vaccine records online, so you don’t have to call or email. It makes it super easy for me :)

Professional, Accommodating, Transparent.First time grooming client. We thought it may help with our younger rescue licking paws and certain areas (TBD).I ended up calling after booking online as a new client to make sure the appt was confirmed. I briefly described what I was looking for - bath, glands and nails. I had initially thought clipping but she explained the grinding would be more polished so we opted for that with an express bath and glands. The total came to $73 which seemed fair.Initially, we were going to book same day at 11:30am for 1pm but ultimately ended up rebooking for the following morning due to a conflict for us. I felt terrible and the woman helping me sounded a bit annoyed but I get it - it sounded busy and she was still informative on their process.Important to note: a 2-hour window is blocked off for new clients so they really won’t book a newbie after 2:30pm. This is to ensure your pup is good with the dryers, etc. totally get it!My sister picked her up but didn’t get a ‘report card’ while no response may be good - I was still curious. I called them back, the reception cheerfully obliged my query and checked in with the groomer. Of course, our girl had some first time nerves but did great from what we were told by their team.Dropped off at 8:45am and picked up by 11:30am. They send you text reminders prior, once checked-in and when they’re ready for pick-up.

I moved here from Texas to Georgia 3 weeks ago. I seen good reviews about The Clean Dog business, unfortunately I had a bad experience with this business on my first visit. I made an appointment for him to get a good wash with this business. However I dropped my dog off at 12:20pm she stated he will be ready within 2 hours I advise her again in our conversation on the phone and in person I live 30mins away just give me a call when he is ready. The business close at 3:30pm I got a text at 3:08pm stated he was ready for pick up and I have 1 hour to pick him up or they will charge me. As I’m walking out the door the lady called at 3:13pm and stated my dog was ready and can I be here before 3:30pm. I advise her I am 30mins away I got a text at 3:08 stating he was ready for pick up and I have 1 hour to pick him up. She said it will charge you a late fee because we close at 3:30pm. My reply it’s not my fault I got ONLY a text at 3:08 and you’re calling me at 3:13 knowing I live 30mins away. She stated this is frustrating and took my payment over the phone so it wouldn’t charge me a late fee also she had to wait until I arrive to pick up my dog.. FIRST AND LAST TIME GOING TO THIS BUSINESS…

We had a great first time experience with our Welsh Terrier, Archie, today! Archie left super happy, and his ‘hand-stripping’ was great. His fur was pretty matted when he went in, so they did an excellent job working through it. Will return for sure!

Very nice staff and clean areas! I did a self wash for one of my dogs and was able to add on a nail cutting too for a good price. However, I booked an express wash and shedding coat removal for my other dog and she was there for almost 5 hours when they told me 2 hrs originally. I dropped her off at 11 and I went at 12:30 & they changed to 2. I got there at 2 and I saw them just start washing her. I didn’t get her until almost 4 since she hates the blow dryer. The wait was a bit much so plan to drop off for a whole day instead.

Did a self service bath here. It was pretty straight forward. Only thing is I wish they had provided a shampoo with more odor control, as my dog came back smelling, well.. like a god.

This is the 3rd time we've taken our bushy 75 lb. Briard here for grooming, the team does an AMAZING job of getting the matting out while keeping his coat long. Friendly and caring staff, great prices and a convenient location - I'm glad they're here, and so is our dog.

DOG OWNERS BEWARE! Though the staff is said to be great, MARIA, the owner, does not receive the same compliment. Her mishandling of The Clean Dog losing a customer’s dog over Thanksgiving weekend is atrocious to say the least. The dog’s owner was out of state visiting family for the holiday when he received a call that his dog had been lost when taken on a walk THE NIGHT BEFORE. The dog was lost and scared overnight, while management decided not to inform the owner until hours later. The dog was eventually found safe and unharmed (thank goodness!!) later the next day. MARIA has denied the owner a full refund for the appalling and negligent mishap that led to the dog being lost. The dog’s owner was only offered one night’s compensation for the night the dog went missing. That sentiment in itself is abhorrent. The unimaginable anguish the dog’s owner went through while worrying about whether his dog would be found safe is enough to warrant reimbursement. MARIA has been nothing but arrogant, and rude and repugnant throughout this entire ordeal. If you value the safety and welfare of your beloved dog, I suggest you go somewhere with more competent management.

I brought my 2 dogs in a few weeks ago for a bath and it was an ok experience. When I arrived at my appointment time, the staff was friendly and quickly got the bathroom set up. The bathroom was nice enough. I didn’t like that the doors didn’t fully close. I called before hand to inquire if they had a closed space because with 2 dogs it makes life a LOT easier when I can have them in a closed room. There is a door but it remains open about 5 inches. The doesn’t seem like a lot unless you have a reactive dog that barks every time something passes the slit. The products provided were also just ok. I didn’t feel like my dogs got as clean as other washes. I did like the blueberry “facial” that was provided. They didn’t have brushes and they only provided 2 small towels. They did provide more towels but why not have them in the room. I did like their shop offers. They had a great selection and fairly priced. I would definitely shop here and maybe even board but the bath wasn’t worth it.

We went in after getting a donut at Revolution, took a minute to get set up, but great service, great price, and Della looks fabulous! Lots of different shampoos and conditioners for our fur babies.

My grand pup was lost while being boarded at Clean Dog over Thanksgiving holiday. 2022.We were told he was lost by an employee who took him for a nightly walk. Our pup spent 15+ hours who knows where before we were even notified. We were heartsick! Immediately, my son contacted his friends, and they stopped what they were doing to go out and search for our pup!My son spent time posting information on social media, and postings at his apartment building while searching flight schedules to return to Atlanta. Our vacation was now a nightmare. I did what all moms do - started a prayer chain. Thank God - our very loved pup was found! A BIG thank you to the friends who searched and found him. However the aftermath has been ridiculous. The management still has not answered any of our questions about how this happened in the first place. Nor have they told us what steps have been taken to prevent this from ever happening again. They showed absolutely no concern for the anxiety that this incident caused. They have not returned calls …. Which is very unfortunate because our dog did enjoy the daycare. Their only concern is requesting that a NDA be signed.

I bring my dogs here to use their self wash facilities and it's been fantastic every time. The staff is always super friendly, they seem to remember us even though we're only in every six weeks or so for a bath, and the set up is amazing.I have a lot of issues with my shoulders, and combined with the fact that I have two double coated Shepherds, grooming on a regular basis at home is just not feasible. Our shower is too small to put the dogs in and get them clean, and then I've got two wet dogs running around the house, no matter how much I towel dry them. Not since I found this place though, their bathtubs are set up at the perfect height, they provide everything you need to get your dog super clean, the shampoo, scrubby brush, face wash, ear rinse, towels and a blow dryer (if your dog is cool with that). Bathtime is super quick here, the water is temperature controlled so your dog doesn't overheat or freeze, you can change the spray on the hose, which is super helpful when my dogs are shedding clumps of fur like it's going out of style, and at the end of the bath, I can get rid of even more dead coat with the blow drier, and then they clean it all up!Honestly, it's perfect. Thanks to the blow dryer, my dogs are almost totally dry when they get back in the car, and if I don't take them to the dog park or it's winter time and we're not out hiking much, they smell fantastic for a long time. The price is right for everything provided, and the shop out front is nicely stocked if you want to pick up a new treat or toy on your way out. 10/5 stars. We'll be back in a month or so!

I have waited a while to post this review because I wanted to give the business time to work things out amicably with me. Unfortunately that was not the case. I used to take my dog here all the time for overnight boarding. However, over Thanksgiving weekend they took my dog for a night walk and LOST HIM. I did not know they did night walks. He was LOST overnight and management did not let me know until late the next morning. He wasn't found until later that afternoon frantically running around in a parking garage stairwell. They were not the ones who found him even though he was where they "knew he would be." Even though I was out of town, It was essentially up to me to call and text all of my neighbors, whom I am incredibly grateful for, as they were the ones who found him. To make things right with me (a very upset dog dad) they offered to comp me for his "night on the street" and then decided if I wanted a full refund, they would force me to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Make no mistake, management does not care about dogs or their customers here, even if you were a longtime regular like I was.____Response to Maria: escalating a simple $100 refund to a 2-year NDA is not “making it right” by anyones definition. Were you also “making it right to me” when I had to plead my case to you on the phone for a refund? I had to explain to you the stress/trauma of coordinating a lost dog search from out of town and the inconvenience of changing my travel plans to get him back early. And you made me wait A WEEK for “your decision” because you still didn't understand. The only thing you understood was that you already had my down payment. Gotta protect that $109.50 huh?

Although, I was not personally impacted by this wrongdoing of The Clean Dog on Edgewood, being a dog owner myself I felt the need to post this review. A colleague of mine, of whom was a regular at this establishment, took his dog to be boarded here during Thanksgiving break. While he was away, he received a phone call stating his dog had been lost 15 HOURS AGO! Interestingly enough, they never even found his dog, rather his neighbors and friends found his dog in a parking garage stairwell. Upon trying to resolve the issue in a professional manner with the company, the manager rather refused a refund or any logical resolution prior to an NDA being signed. I would highly warn against taking your pets here and explore all other options prior to booking here.

I booked an appointment at this location based on the reviews that indicated that the groomer was very good at grooming dogs with special medical needs. I was very clear when I booked the appointment that my dog had several health issues and that I did not want to leave my dog for a long period of time. I was told that I would be given the first appointment of the day so that we could get in and out quickly. Our appointments with our previous groomer never lasted more than about 1.5 hours.I dropped my dog off at 8:30 a.m.. When I spoke to the receptionist around 12:30 and learned that the grooming still wasn’t completed, I notified her that I was driving over to collect the dog, regardless. When I arrived, I told her that I would be taking my dog now, even if he wasn’t finished. The receptionist checked in the back and notified me that they were “just finishing up”. I reiterated two more times that I needed them to bring my dog out to me immediately. On about the third request (and after checking with the groomer again), the receptionist came back out, shrugged her shoulders, and told me that the groomer wasn’t done.I ended up having to go to the back of the shop to find my dog myself. The groomer STILL refused to release him to me and continued the grooming, warning me that she “had scissors on him”, that there were video cameras recording the interaction, and that I needed to "get back". Regardless, I ended up releasing him from the grooming leash around his neck myself. I was also chastised for not having correctly booked the appointment as an “express” grooming, despite my very clear request on the phone when booking, and despite that not being an option as a specific grooming option to book online.

The “lost dog”. Maria’s responses to my brother’s dog being lost says it all. While she may not consider this a “personal” experience for me, worth her “response to allegations”, anyone who considers their dog a member of their family will understand it is very personal when your dog (or the dog of a loved one) is missing and you are helplessly in a different state. If you can’t trust the company which is supposed to be taking care of them, but only rely on them to dismiss your justified concerns for the missing dog’s safety- how can they call themselves pet lovers? They lost my brother’s dog over thanksgiving while we were in Florida. We only received a call 15 hours later. They didn’t bother making any posts on next door or ring (we had to). They didn’t bother checking the building (my brother’s friends had to). They didn’t bother answering my brothers phone calls or concerns once the dog was found (they only responded with an NDA). If Maria truly understood how much our pets mean to us, she would have handled this situation much differently. Maria can copy and paste form responses all day, but she doesn’t deserve the trust required to be responsible for the safety and well being of anyone’s beloved pets. This much is clear from how she conducted herself during our traumatizing time and has been solidified by her responses. This situation could have been much worse, and we are grateful Rio was found. We are sickened by the way in which Maria handled the entire situation.

This place is so wonderful, the team is so warm and kind and thorough, and they take amazing care of my pup. I am beyond grateful to have such a reliable and high quality care for my dog right in the area. I travel a lot for work and also WFH so they have really saved the day for me many times. No question, bring your dog here!
