At opening November 2022 the deli area was paraded with 4 people at minimum on the sandwich line. A manager proudly working (not making sandwiches), the area and greeting customers. (Have never seen that guy again). Get in line, order your sub, salad, etc., and walking away with food in hand in less than 10 minutes, give or take. It only took about 2 weeks or less for this to go left and a downward spiral ever since. Standing in the sandwich line for 30 minutes is unacceptable, be it the lunch or dinner rush. I made this Publix my go to store from inception because of the convenience and proximity to my home location but I’m starting to consider if it’s a wise choice to continue.The deli area has workers making online orders and making customers who are physically there wait in between. If someone in management thought it wise to have 4-5 workers in the deli in the beginning, then why not continue.I’ve had a cashier say to me, “Oh, I can tell you’re old enough”, when I asked if she needed to see my ID. I had a nice bottle of $35 Merlot and only asked her because she most certainly didn’t ask me! Hmmnn, I thought for alcohol, by law, you should card everybody who’s purchasing alcohol.I can’t say enough about how disappointed I am about this location at Sandtown Crossing because I’d always held Publix overall to a more different and higher standard. The price for items should make for the best customer experience but a majority of folks who work there act either disgruntled, frustrated, overworked and overwhelmed or just plain unconcerned; some even act privileged , like they’re doing you some huge favor. No doubt there are some a few good employees there, like the lady who made my sub yesterday. She didn’t have to, but she thanked me for my patience. It was not the only time by far that I’ve waited that long, but it’s the only time I’ve been shown the courtesy and professionalism she displayed.It’s a real turn off and dissatisfaction to say the least.

This is my Publix of choice and usually I have a good experience. There is one cashier though, an older woman, who is also in the bad mood seemingly and doesn’t know how to communicate appropriately. Whenever I see her, I try to avoid her line because it’s always a problem. Everyone else is pleasant though and the store is always clean.

My review is based off what I saw today was very disturbing. At what point is it ok or part of your job to scrape the sticker off the concrete. It was basically in front the store clearly the kid does not see issue because he don’t know no better. I don’t mean no disrespect he seems really intelligent but, the manager response was we have to keep the store looking good for the customers. I told her along with several customers then you get out here n scrape the concrete. This is not slavery and nobody should be doing that when Publix make more than enough to hire a cleaning crew . Same way you have a crew clean the parking lot with all paper and trash should be the same thing . Somebody from corporate please explain to me where and why is this ok my child will not be working for you not that I have seen that. She has applied several times and not been selected but I’m glad she wasn’t after seeing this today.

I ordered 50 pieces of fried chicken online from their deli for a Friendsgiving event for work. When I arrived to get it, my order had never been made even though I showed proof. The young man offered me what he had available which was lemon pepper (they were disgusting) but I applaud his effort but still no reason on why my original order wasn’t made. On 12/8, I personally come into the store and place an order for a meat & cheese box for the next day for a Christmas event. I get to the store and once again…NO ORDER MADE ! The young lady tells me her manager is in a meeting & I leave my number to be called back. It’s been over a week and of course no one has called . The Deli service is HORRIBLE! DO NOT ORDER !! NEW doesn’t equal NICE

I really don't want to hear the same music I hear in the clubs, while I'm shopping. Along with someone almost running into my cart while dancing to music. We don't need Club Publix. Jazz would be just fine.

Well I must say the Deli did a awesome job. I had already been to one Publix for a couple of subs I waited in line for almost 45min just to get to the counter an be told they ran out of bread..so I got on the ap ordered subs for this Publix an my order was not done when I got there because they also had ran out of bread..but the woman behind the counter said "What can I do to help"? She offered to use mountain bread? I said that would be great, even tho they were packing up an cleaning up she took the time to find everything I wanted on my sandwiches an we had a great conversation..I feel bad I can't remember the womans name that helped me cause I sure would've liked to call her out for her Great Customer Service skills..

I left a positive review before and deleted it because the quality of customer service in the deli section is abysmal at this location. Very saddened and frustrated that we can't get good service in our neighborhood grocery store.How do you run out of bread in the middle of the day and not try to remedy the situation?? I tried being nice and patient....but I'm really tired of having to wait around for a sandwich to be made after the online order was placed. This isn't the first time this has happened. And the workers are always dismissive, rude and incompetent with the worst attitudes.And yes...it's the same at the Cascade location hence why I came here only to have the same service....bad.

This location is the worst I stood in line at the deli for well over 30 minutes I’m actually new to the area and I’ve visited this location on multiple occasions short staffed one person running a line of over 10 people waiting and they just walk off to the back room to grab something whilst leaving us standing there I’ve noticed this on many occasions I most certainly will not be back management is walking around doing absolutely nothing and I’ve had enough! I ended up just walking out lunch break wasted! If you know your store is busy during lunch rush you should make sure too schedule your heavy hitters and bulk up on staff too help handle the rush!

Why is it a problem to get me the honey hot sauce to put on my wings?? The women at the deli are very lazy….I have to literally skip this Publix to go to the one on camp creek cause they act like they they never have honey hot sauce ….especially the other lady who is always there

When I say this store exceeds my expectations! I love the new direction the store is going in. The employees are visible, shelves are stocked, and customer service is thriving. We see the changes and we appreciate them. Today I purchased helium for some balloons upon checking out one of the balloons got away from me and made its way to the high ceiling. It was gone I didn’t expect to get it back. Well, Taheera said no worries I can get it for you. I smiled because I didn’t think it was possible to retrieve. She used another balloon and was able to reach the mine. When I say she made my day she didn’t have to assist us at all. However, she jumped in and saved the day. My son is going to be so happy to have his bouquet of balloons for his birthday.Thank you Taheera we appreciate you!

I came about 10am. This Publix is always out of items sometimes basic things like raw chicken wings, certain taco kits, frozen vegetables, types of ice cream, fried chicken boxes, pre-cut fruit bowls, certain cuts of deli meat.. Staff are mostly friendly but it was a boy with a little beard & hat on, making sub sandwiches at the deli who was angry that he had to help make sandwiches and of course gave me sassiness bc I was next in line to order smh. I remained polite, & passive, despite his unnecessarily petulant behavior. He acted very irritated while simple making a sandwich. I’m not the one who asked him to make sandwiches Anyways. He is miserable. Nobody likes to work but make the best of it ..sheesh. The lines are long at the deli, and checkout ..they have self checkout but that line is long also. They should have all lines open, at least more than the usual 2, during peak shopping times 5PM - 8PM.

Nice LOOKING store, with absolutely NO customer service. Please consider staffing your deli area with more than one person during the lunch rush. From the associates to the management…..HORRIBLE SERVICE ALL THE TIME.10/17/22NO CHANGES. NO SENSE OF URGENCY AT ALL. WHO RUNS THIS STORE?!?!?! I INVITE CORPORATE TO VISIT WITH ME. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! EVERY. DAY.

I was pleasantly surprised when this Publix opened. They use paper bags, which caught me off guard but I can appreciate it. I wish the bags had handles to make them easier to carry. Overall, I had a pleasant shopping experience.

Unfortunately, they are always out of something that you need. The store was built too small for this area and the deli is ridiculously small. The design does not lend itself to good service to customers or staff.

I was looking for an item that was not stocked on the shelf, the young lady at the customer service desk went to locate that item for me personally so I did not have to drive to another publix in the rain. I also purchased three indoor plants and they looked very well cared for. I can get with this type of service and I will frequent again.

This is one of the worst publix deli locations I’ve been to. At minimum there is always a minimum 30 minute wait in line. They do this conveyor belt style preparation that slows the process down and on top of that unless you instruct them to chop your ingredients up and use the knife to pack your ingredients inside your sandwich it’s made sloppy.

Always check your meds!!!I’m a heart transplant patient who was given the wrong dosage of medication which is a medication used to reduce/prevent rejection! My RX was for 5 mg and I was given a bottle of 5 mg mixed with 10 mg. Thank God I paid attention to the markings on the pills and researched the pills myself! Yes they apologized however if I wasn’t knowledgeable and paid attention, I would still be taking the wrong medications!

This store is always out of everything, especially hot food and sandwich supplies and the sandwich bread is always hard. I place orders for hot food or sandwiches only to get all the way to the store and none of it is available. No one ever calls to tell you it's not available, you just have to waste your gas and time coming to the store to find out.I keep hoping that things will get better, but there is no glimmer of hope saying so.Just for reference these pictures were taken at 3:00 in the afternoon, and the associate said the store was just completely out of chicken. All chicken. Whether you want it wings, or rotisserie, or fried chicken, they didn't have it. How does any manager allow this to happen. And this is a consistent issue.

I usually like Publix, I visit stores all across the south east region, this store however does not have the Publix feel to it, it's feels like I'm at a Walmart not that anything wrong with Walmart it's just that Publix has its own uniqueness to it and this one doesn't, here's an example, so I ordered a Chipotle chicken sandwich from the deli , the very unfriendly and unprofessional deli guy made me a turkey sandwich, I'm not one to tell others how to run their business but I wouldn't have such an unfriendly, unprofessional individual dealing directly with my customers, maybe he should be around the back scrubbing down the docks and taking out the trash. I think I'd rather visit the other Publix where shopping is a pleasure. This one clearly isn't.

Very clean and helpful staff! The design and layout is very different from most Publix stores. Sub line is like most. Staff is very friendly, they seem as if they enjoy working.

Bakery is empty. Deli is empty. Lines are super long. Need to remember to never come back. Don’t waste your time there’s barely groceries here either.
