Dear Petco Management,I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on April 23, 2024, between 3-5pm. My experience was marred by lies, falsehoods, and a clear lack of professionalism.Firstly, during my visit, your staff claimed that my furbaby had fleas. Distressed by this news, I promptly took her to the vet for a thorough examination, only to discover that there were no indications of such findings. This blatant misdiagnosis is not only unacceptable but also deeply concerning. It raises serious questions about the competence and integrity of your staff.Furthermore, I was shocked to learn that my furbaby's anal glands were not checked during the service, despite it being a standard request I made and staff advised they would take care of it. This oversight is not only neglectful but also potentially harmful to my pet's health.Adding insult to injury, I was charged several additional fees during the service, which left me feeling exploited and taken advantage of. As a loyal customer, I expect transparency and fair pricing, neither of which was evident during my recent visit.In light of these egregious errors and the overall lack of professionalism, I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation. I expect a full refund for the erroneous fees charged, as well as a sincere apology for the distress and inconvenience caused to both me and my furbaby.Furthermore, I strongly encourage you to review your training protocols and ensure that all staff members are adequately trained to provide accurate diagnoses and adhere to standard procedures.I sincerely hope that you will take my concerns seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.Sincerely,Mali’s mom

Please avoid and go to more experienced groomers. This was my dogs first grooming and while dogs are very anxious and wiggly during a new experience, there is no reason they couldn't have brushed her out and made her look presentable. They also told me they cut her nails when the vet cut them 2 days ago and had the audacity to put a bow on her. Very disappointing. The manager should be ashamed for allowing a dog to be presented back to a customer in worse condition then when they arrived. She didn't even come out to acknowledge the poor service.

I just wanted to say to the vetco team thank you so much. I had a lot of questions and everyone was so polite and gave me lots of information for budget friendly options also thank you for the reassurance I will be recommending my friends and family to this location. Again thank you staff you guys are amazing! And despite my cat getting all her shots and chipped today she has been as calm as she was with you guys.

I brought my dog here for a grooming and upon my dog returning to me he had multiple skin irritations, the biggest issue was I was incapable of contacting a grooming manager or a store manager. When reaching out to other franchise locations I was hung up on I was disrespected and my issue was minimized in a very aggressive manner. If your dog is worth any money which mine is very expensive please do not send any of your pets here, if you care anything about them. Unacceptable, untrained, and Un-remorseful !!!!

My clients were kicked out of the store with their dog because the sales clerk was having a bad day. She was so rude. After spending $250 at the store, my client was kicked out of the store because she was using her purchased treats to tell her dog to sit and was rewarding the dog with those treats that she just purchased. I called to speak to the store manager and she refused to give me her name. I don’t understand what kind of training these employees get but this was the worst petco experience ever.

Thank you to the kind employees of Petco and Furkids who helped me with Coconut (formerly Saul)'s adoption process. I am so in love with this little cat who has already brought immeasurable joy to the life of myself and my other cat Kiwi. They helped me through every step of the adoption process. The employees here were so delighted and happy when I adopted him-- it is lovely to work with people who truly love animals and love helping them.Right now, there is another cat at this facility named Willie who is also super sweet and has a very vibrant personality. If you're looking for a cat, please check here first!

They ruined my husky/malamutes tail. I went in last month for a small haircut. I only asked them to trim some of the longer black hairs/fly aways and for a bath. Not only did they go lower than asked on his body, they chopped his tail way past what could be considered a cleanup. It’s been over a month and his tail hasn’t made progress growing back as it was- what does grow has been falling out in matted clumps. What kind of person would do this and call themselves a professional? I didn’t ask for anything like this especially for his breed.

All the staff is very people/pet friendly at the Sandy Springs office on Roswell Road. Robbin is especially helpful in getting our Munchie registered to see the providers in the office. Since this is our first time owning a pet and she's a pet owner as well, she gives us very valuable insight that has been very useful to us. She is, for sure, an asset to the office! Thank you, Robbin, for being an approachable person in assisting us in the care of the new addition to our family!

#KingMarble post haircut. He's never been in and out so quickly from a groomer and they said he was VERY well behaved. This is due to the kind folks working here. He also seemed happy and not stressed post grooming. Boom! And look at that face! 😁 Yay @petco

The staff here were absolutely fantastic and knowlegable. Jade, Amanda and Tyler (not 100% of his name but he had dyed blonde hair) were so helpful as my friend bought products for her first dog. We were so appreciative of their knowledge and assistance.

Tyler helped us pick out some new fish for our tank. He was incredibly helpful. He told us what was on promotion as well as suggesting some other fish that we had not considered before coming to the store. He was very knowledgeable and made the experience overall very enjoyable.

Maybe supplies are the only thing that you can buy here, but I would never get a dog groomed here. 100% you’ll get ripped off.I’ve now taken my dog back twice, I paid a bunch of money (also tipped the groomer who did absolutely nothing) to have her groomed, only for them to give me a dog back that was essentially untouched the first time. I’m now having to drop her off at a completely different place in Midtown in order to get the job done as it was promised. And this was a very a half done job the second time, telling me they said it’ll be “less” fur. They will not do as advertised, just beware.You need to go to a normal, reputable groomer who doesn’t have untrained people working and handling dogs in the facility

My tiny, 3-pound, long-coat Chihuahua has been groomed at 2 boutique grooming facilities in Atlanta prior to this visit. I have never been particularly happy with her haircuts--- and have overpaid for mediocre service. The last place I thought I would have considered was Petco, but I figured I'd try it.After reading other reviews on this location, I am happy to report I had an opposite experience this past weekend.Hazanat was Charlotte's groomer, and did a phenomenal job! My pup had a wonderful coat trim and her nails were cut and buffed an appropriately short length. My dog is very emotionally sensitive, and very sweet, so her calm demeanor was relieving picking her up from the visit.

I'm writing this review not about the store, but about Tyler in the aquatics department. Tyler is bringing a level of knowledge and passion that you'd normally find at an LFS to friggin Petco. He's super friendly and helpful and clearly cares about educating customers on proper fish care. Went out of his way to help me out with a tank purchase today, too. Thanks again!

Scheduled an appointment for my dog to be groomed, received confirmation this morning, and drove all the way there for them to tell me my appointment had been cancelled. They absorbed all other appointments but decided to cancel mine. I received a text cancelling my appointment an hour AFTER getting home. Wasted half of my day so I will not be returning!

This is by far the worst experience i have ever had at a Petco! For starters their “vaccine clinic” is a table in the back of the store. They have you stand there with your anxious and excited dog while talking to you about their Pet Plans. Then they proceeded to make rude comments about my daughter puppy being a wild child, as if he was supposed to sit and behave quietly on a floor he couldn’t even stand on. Then when I’m finally trying to check out and get my anxious puppy who had just received 5 vaccines and a microchip out of there, they can’t process my card as credit. Instead of assisting me their very rude and u professional cashier Latavia just took the next customer. How are you a corporate store with the inability to process a transaction as credit ? She was rude the entire time, when it was my turn in line she said nothing, she didnt say “next” she didn’t say “how are you”. But as I proceeded to tell my father that I would never come here again she interjected into my conversation by saying “and that’s fine”. I immediately said I am not talking to you why are you in my conversation. She proceeded to argue back and I immediately asked for her manager Amanda. Amanda was nice and checked me out but did not address her cashier. I hope she does. The entire team was nice but i wouldn’t suggest bringing your dog here if you’re looking for a caring experience where they don’t rush to stick your anxious dog 5 times in the middle of the store with a bunch of people standing around. It’s already a stressful experience for you and your puppy and this store failed horribly at managing that.

UPDATE:After speaking with the store manager Amanda she had rectified the situation. She acknowledged their poor behavior & assured me it is being addressed. She’s making sure my baby will get groomed by a professional groomer Haz the groomer who did not display terrible customer service! Amanda & George came to my rescue & made sure they turned the terrible situation around! I truly appreciate that!If I could give ZERO stars I would! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE TO GET GROOMED! The entire grooming staff including the salon manager is beyond rude and unprofessional! From the start of my dropping my dog off they let me know the double book their appointments so even tho my appointment is at 2pm it will still take them up to 4 hours for the service. The initial drop off was horrible the lady was irrated because I asked questions. I stayed In the area and even looked through the windows (BECAUSE THEY ARE WIDE OPEN) I went in to check because I thought they had my puppy on the table but it wasnt him. The salon manager stormed out asking me what the problem was I let him know there was no problem I was just looking! He told me it would be another hour! He was very rude and dismissive! I wanted to complain so I spoke to the cashier who said multiple people complain about the grinning staff all the time! He told me he would give me my service for free. Once he told them they told him to tell me to pickup my dog because they refuse to groom him because of my complaint. I didn’t ask for it to be free! TAYE THE SALON MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED! Paige & Tiana or Tiara whatever her name is talked about me after I left the store they were laughing and making fun of me I can clearly see them from the window! AFTER WAITING TWO HOURS ALL THE DID WAS WASH HIM! WASTE OF TIME! AFTER GIVING ME TERRIBLE CUSTOMER THEY THEN RETALIATED AND REFUSE TO GROOM MY DOG BECAUSE I MADE A COMPLAINT! Do not come back here for grooming! George was great and very apologetic about their horrible behavior!!!! The entire staff needs to be fired from the grooming salon!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Petco in Buckhead!! Friendly staff, extremely helpful & knowledgeable, and Tyler is my new best friend because he found a food that my picky chihuahua Lola will eat! The grooming staff is amazing as well, Lola is not the best to deal with but they take great care of her, are patient with her, and has her looking like a million bucks every time she goes there. This Petco is quite a distance for me to travel to (almost an hour drive with no traffic) but I'd rather go here than other locations!

This review is for their grooming salon - do not bother booking here at this location. I booked an 8am appointment and waited 45 minutes outside for the groomer to show up, which he never did. The manager was nice and called him but even he couldn’t get an answer on what time Demontaye would show up. There was also another lady who had an 8am appointment too and she gave up and left. Three dogs in total waited and the groomer was a no show!! I got up early to show up on time, maybe the groomer should too! I even called the day before to make sure he would be there at 8. I should have known better with this location and all the horrible reviews. Never wasting my time here again! I’ll take my big tips elsewhere.

Visited this Petco store 30minutes before closing with my super excited 11 year old.My kid had a “zillion” questions about each reptile in the store. Daniel, the manager of the store took time to answer each question with supreme knowledge and enthusiasm.Great customer service!!
