This is a sizable shopping complex over in the Howell Mill Area that's been quite handy, especially since the nearby Walmart closed down.šŸš— They've got plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently close to several fast-food spots if you're in the mood for a quick bite.šŸ›’ Inside, you'll find a well-stocked place with over 20 lanes, covering all your essentials. They've even got dedicated sections for meat, dairy, and a pharmacy. There's also a section with ready-to-eat food.šŸ’³ One of the perks is that they often have discounts if you use a Kroger card, which can save you quite a bit.šŸ‘©ā€ šŸ¤ I've had consistently good experiences with the staff; they're polite and helpful. It's become a reliable spot for my shopping needs

Every time I go to this Kroger all of the aisles are filled with boxes and pallets and industrial carts. I thought it was just because I was going so early in the morning, but today I was there at 10:00am and at least half of the aisles were blocked with employees stocking the shelves, and when I would come by no one shifted out of the way or made any comment suggesting that it was unusual that they should be there blocking the path.

My father is an amputee, disabled, retired veteran who struggled getting to the bathroom. The electric handicap carts were either broken or unplugged and not useable. When we got the only one that would move (BARELY) in the bakery area (where the bathroom was located far away from the front entrance) there was a stack of boxes piled up on top of a shopping cart's handles in the middle of the aisle. The electric cart barely working could have run into that and fell on us but I moved it out of the way. I'm 5 ft 1in and that stack was taller than me. OSHA violation. I should have taken a picture. I work in food service I know what is up. When we were on our way back from the bathroom, the cart stopped working and any employee looking at us did not offer any help. Some of the staff there are nice especially one younger girl and a younger guy at the self checkout. They are not a problem. It was everyone else I spoke to asking for help even when we shopped in the bakery/deli section. Everyone has an effing attitude. Again I work in the service industry so I'm always as polite as I can be but these people were not accommodating at all except the one checkout girl and guy.Anyway, and there needs to be a handicap restroom available at the front of the store. We were customers and were not just there for the bathroom. I frequent this place really often and am disappointed. Instead of the older lady coming to help us with a sit-down electric cart, she saw me struggling to push my father in his walker, which was not safe at all, and walked away saying "yall got this." We didn't have it at all. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE MORE ACCOMMODATING FOR THEIR SENIORS AND DISABLED CITIZENS I'm never coming back here again. Everyone looked at us like they were pitying us and no one offered any services. My 70-year-old dad cried in the car because he thought he was being a burden. FIX YOUR SHOPPING CARTS AND BE MORE HELPFUL!!!

Kroger prices are very competitive to other stores. The produce pretty fair compared to let's say Publix or The Fresh Market but most of them are A-. The only issues I have with this store is that many times when I do my shopping after 6:45pm, there seems to be a lot of products that either sold out or very bleak especially in the meat department. There are times when different other sections are almost or close to same. Low or sold out items in other departments I have faced as well and I have to go to another location to get what I couldn't find here. I have even spoken with a manager about it. He apologized of course and said they would try and do better. Otherwise, the store is clean, isles easy to navigate (unless you run into an occasional shopper who thinks they are the only one shopping in the store) who just leaves their shopping cart šŸ›’ 😳 smack dab out in the isle while they are choosing a product from that section. The biggest issue I have is that there are never any associates on an isle to ask for assistance, customer service is most times over run with customers but the biggest complaint is checking out. Usually there is only 2 human cashiers whose lines are long so you either wait your turn or use the dreaded Self-Check out, but I digress, all in all I like this location especially since it has a fuel ā›½ļø center which I find convenient. I can get groceries and gas.

Convenient location, lots of plant based-vegan options, affordable prices. The check out attendant even helped me bad my groceries. ā€œBe careful if you’re vegan shopper prepackaged foods, some of them are labeled ā€œplant basedā€, but contain animal products like egg or cheese.ā€

This Kroger was clean and convenient to my hotel. I was visiting I found some great bargain items that were marked down. I also found some new items to take home. My only complaint is they didn't have any insulated frozen food bags to keep my food cold while I traveled.

LOVED THE SUSHI!!! - This particular Kroger was the answer to my sister Denise & my prayers! As some already know, we were rendered homeless by Hurricane Ian, in Kissimmee, FL on September 29th, 2022. We're in a hotel downtown Atlanta (thanks to FEMA). It's rough. We'd rather a hotel with a kitchenette, but we have a microwave & refrigerator - we try our best to make due. So, having Kroger across the street is a blessing!Great store. I got sushi & great sandwiches, water, deodorant, body wash, etc. When you're homeless, toiletries become treasures, lol, trust me. Awesome place to shop. #GoKroger!P.S. The background of my pictures were taken on the Red Cross blanket, I was given when my sister & I were sleeping at the shelter, at the Civic Center, downtown Kissimmee, FL. It's kinda cold here in Georgia 😊.

I went there last night to try to buy some items from the pharmacy isle and immediately I noticed a pungent smell, like rotten fish coming all the way from the storage area in the back all the way to the pharmacy isle. The smell was so nasty, disgusting and unpleasant i had to leave the store right away. I am hoping that next time I visit the smell isn’t there. If it is, what is this store hiding on the back?I didn’t have time to ask for a manager or employee in charge because I really needed to get out of there before getting sick…

Glad that I don't plan on coming back here. Had not one but four employees pass by me without saying a word. Went to customer Service for the help I couldn't get only to be told that if it's not on the self, they don't have it. Another customer no help place and no effort to help a customer.

Customer service is terrible. Took longer than expected. The cashier throwing objects at another staff instead of checking me out. I politely tell the bagger thank you, and he says ā€œyeaā€. Please work on customer service at this location.

This Kroger has become a terrible shipping expedited since they closed the nearby Walmart after customers set a fire in the store. Now or seems all the Walmart customers have descended on Kroger which was already struggling with terrible customer service, a filthy unkempt store, and constant disorder. Then they removed 3 checkout aisles and replaced them with SELF CHECKOUT aisles, and 5 mini checkout stations added to the original 10 self checkout stations plus the 5 at the other end of the store.Shoppers are rude in the store, blocking aisles with no regards for fellow shoppers, and seem completely oblivious to their surroundings. Try visiting on the weekend and you'll experience total chaos and inattentive employees socializing and goofing off instead of bagging groceries..I have grown to utterly detest shopping at this location after 12 years as a regular loyal customer.Oh, and don't get me started on the pharmacy. I've submitted the same Rx refill request 3 times over the past week now, and it continually disappears. No text message, no phone call alerting me to any problem. They apparently just don't feel like filling the Rx.

This is the closest grocery store to my house and I hate going there because it smells so bad all the time. I do not buy meat or fish from there. A friend of mine recently bought salmon from there and it was bad. This store reeks of rotten meat all the time, so I’m not surprised

It is SO frustrating to shop in a store that has stuff all in the aisles! CLEAN IT UP FOR GOODNESSAKE! TWO carts should be able to go down the aisles. This store makes it impossible to have a positive shopping experience when you have to constantly move out of the way for other shoppers or to wait for them to pass because there is SO MUCH STUFF in the aisle. It’s clear this store is selling too many products…there isn’t enough space!! The manager needs to go into Publix to see how to properly lay out a store.

Only 1 employee in the entire store and 50 people in line. There was another employee, but he decided it was time to take a break.Who is the general manager of this store?? Does he or she even exits??

Kroger at this location no longer employs cashiers - see the line for their self checkout and running the length of the aisle. I recommend going to somewhere like Publix!

May God Bless and protect the manager of this store, Kevin. I frequent this Kroger and he's assisted me when the Deli counter wasn't staffed with a smile. Today I witnessed him managing a very heated argument between an employee and customer. It was a pretty scary situation, and Kevin was right in the middle of it trying to diffuse the situation to the best of his ability. I hope him and everyone involved are safe today.I hope Kroger corporate will consider extra measures to help better protect their staff at this store and consider added compensation or bonus' to their employees who stand up to assist in moments like this. This world we live in is absolutely crazy and these workers didn't sign up to risk their lives at the hands of evil.

The store itself is fine, but not one associate offered to help me even though 4-5 were standing around the checkout area when I was buying $500 of food for our food pantry at church. Instead, I was made to go through the self checkout and scan and bag every item myself. What happened to having people actually check out customers and help? Other Kroger locations do, why not this one?

This story is dirty and has poor customer service. I had a receipt and tried to return an expired item with Martese, the store manager, and was told that I couldn’t return it because it was purchased from a different Kroger and couldn’t return the item because it would mess up her inventory.

This is the new Walmart. I either need to wildly lower my expectations or shop elsewhere. Waste of time working for your ā€˜digital coupon’ deals. You want to track my blueberry purchases or what? I don’t have to deal with this at Publix, Walmart, whole foods, target, anywhere! Check out and bag $180 worth of groceries myself. Kroger now officially sucks.

Massive single self checkout line midday on a Friday. Skip this Kroger if you value your time. Kroger clearly doesn’t.

Some of their fresh products -- their own brand -- are not as good. I bought some bagged prewashed broccoli and it had some kind of mushroom and had to throw them away.

Worst experience ever. Only one lane was open besides self check out. The line for the lane went all the way down to the end of the aisle. The cashier was on the phone and dancing the whole time. The poor lady in front of me had so many groceries, and after the cashier had let the lady’s groceries pile up after scanning them, she told the lady she can bag her own groceries. Once the cashier has scanned all the groceries, she just stood there and watched the lady struggle bagging her own groceries and holding up the line. I was so angry as I have been standing in the line for a long time and the cashier was not helping. I finally started helping the lady bag her own groceries. This was such an awful experience. I might as well gone to the self check out line as the cashier was useless! I stood in that line for a minimum of 20 minutes. Why wasn’t the cashier doing her job? And why weren’t there any employees helping with bagging or on another register? I never come to Kroger and now I remember why. I will not be returning and will tell plenty of people about my awful experience.

This is a sad review for me due to me having a friendship with the Seafood department and several other managers/ employee. They have been AMAZING through the years. Now, I’ve been coming to this location for 6 years, before the pandemic and never expected or experienced what I’m experiencing now. This location use to be clean now food bags & baby diapers in the parking lot. There was ā€œSecurityā€ but now we have full uniform ā€œAPDā€ walking around. I’d see young adults bringing carts in neatly now people are having to grab their own carts outside and push in. I’ve noticed several baskets of food by customer service (4-6)that people left NEVER saw that before. Maybe a small basket behind Customer service occasionally. EXTREMELY LONG self check out lines that go down isles which weren’t even close to that a few months ago. I’m done. I don’t even really like grocery store shopping but I use to be ok coming here in out no worries but now ugh I feel uncomfortable, unsafe and the vibe is just off in this location. It’s Just weird. Good bye Kroger Howell Mill it WAS pleasant run. Next grocery store

I have been going to Kroger for over 7 years and today was the first day I made an instant bond with an associate. Grace assisted me with my pick up order and I just love her to pieces. Best interaction in so long it felt so great I want to bring my kids to meet her.

The level of service once provided has been sacrificed for cost savings. Employees are scarce. Cashiers have been automated. Shopped here for 8 years. Publix will have my business from here on out.

Worst Kroger ever! This used to be great but over the summer has really taken a deep dive. The staff refuse to provide carts/baskets, food is all over the floors, no one is checking out customers, the self checkout line backs up to the dairy department - WHAT IS it that the staff get paid to do?One person who "works" there actually said to me "that's not my job, you go get one" when asking where carts were.If I'm going to get my own cart from the lot, then I better be getting the employee discount!Ridiculous and shameful!
