This grocery needs improvements to their cleaning habits. Bathroom is always filthy. It's an old store that has most of your basic grocery items. I usually find great prices on berries and some fruit, as well as walnuts. But the berries often have old, moldy ones in the package, so I often end up throwing some away. Other produce is often not fresh and wilted, like the greens and spinach. Cashiers are limited, so expect a line during busy shopping hours. Otherwise, it's convenient for the area in the West End.

Big Bear I love it it is a place that I've been going ever since I was a little they have everything that I can't find in a regular grocery stores and the people are great as well the produce is fantastic the chicken wings are fantastic they have great 😃 I'm telling you if you have never been to Big Bear you a great place to shop

Big bear is that spot cheap produce and meats u find from ham hock to nexkbone lol no plant base vegan fod there smh no healthy stuff I may stop going soon but they stay packed lots of country southern meats plates and tissue stuff too high and seasoning too high we really go just for produce ginger ,tumeric and kale no healthy desserts or juices water price decent no.atm

I drive from Smyrna to this particular Big Bear to get my greens and produce because they come from local farmers.

I live in Buckhead and will try to go to the West End whenever I can.....I like the "Old School Flavor"....Prices are very reasonable.....Hard to find Old School goods.....Plus I like being around my people....FEEL GOOD......

Got to the store at 7:40 pm and the security guard refused to let me in. Just called the manager and he told me that they lock the doors at 7:50 pm. So somebody’s not telling the truth, if I arrived at 7:40 pm and was denied entry. The policy the manager gave me is not reflected on the door nor on the website so they are making up policies as they go. Wont be coming back here again, for sure. That’s not good business at all.

be careful when buying discounted meat, they may be spoiled. Some pantry stuff are definitly not cheap. but it is the one that nearest to where i live. so for convinence, 4 stars

It was around 9:00am. The store employees were restocking. My main goal was to get meats. The meat isle was being restocked. Everyone I spoke to was very nice. I was able to find meats that were reasonably priced and fresh looking, beautifully red meats, especially the pork ribs. I love shopping at Big Bear.

I bought some spoiled chicken from there on September 14 .When you have a job responsibilities and don't live in the neighborhood you can't run back to the store. I return some chicken that was spoiled 4 days later they would not accept they said they would only except it after three days it bad business.

Prices are extremely high and on many items, options are few. Passed by a number of employees stocking the shelves or doing misc. jobs. Even after speaking to them firsy, I was not acknowledged by a single employee.

One star down from last time. Prices ok, SOME staff ok, the cashier shorted me $10. I Didn't notice it until I got to McDonald's Ga. 😤😱🤔 I'll count my change from now on. This has NEVER happended in the pass. I've been going there sense early 90's.😥

This place is indeed the #OldAtlanta. It gives me the feeling of a mini farmer's market, with lots of fresh, affordable produce and meat options to feed large families on a budget. I haven't visited this place in DECADES, and I'm pretty sure I'll shop here more often. And the cashier was so polite! :)

Family Neighborhood food market has a good selection. Bundles of Green! Don't come late on Holidays or Sundays the lines might be a lot longer get to know somebody while you're waiting in line.
