I’ve been taking my pup Koda to Bark Avenue for over 6 months now and he loves it there! The staff is amazing and truly care about the dogs. They always go above and beyond! Koda is always very excited to get dropped off and has a great time at daycare. Thank you Bark Avenue for always taking great care of my fur baby❤️

I’ve been using Bark Avenue for the last year and love them! I use them for both daycare and boarding for both of my dogs. My boys are two rescue, both over 75lbs. The facility is clean and professional. The staff is friendly. And their online system is very easy to use and reserve services. My only complaint is that I wish they provided photos of my dogs while I board them. It would be nice to see that they are doing okay while I’m away. Maybe just one photo a day? My previous boarder did that and it was a sense of relief while I was away to know that they were okay. All in all, I highly recommend Bark Avenue!

My baby has been coming since November 2020 when we moved to the area. Originally, yes it was cheap but smelled like death and my dog acted like he was going to die as they took him back -- yes he is a little dramatic. Since Shawn took over --- OMG! The smell improvement alone speaks wonders! But her team that she has built says so much more! Every staff member makes a point to know each dog parent and dog so when you walk in to pick up, they don't have to ask who you are here to pick up? My pup is "extra" and used to cry like a toddler when getting dropped off, the whole staff knew it. Kris and Tamika would make sure to distract him as I left and reassured me he was happy as soon as I was out of sight. Picking up with Cory, Camron and Lexie is a breeze and my pup doesn't want to leave. The staff is happy and extremely friendly -- they really seem to love being there and that is a great sign of leadership. Shawn has down wonders and it truly shows in the staff she has and the happy pups that come home each day!

I am so glad we found Bark Avenue! First of all, the online portal makes it so easy to book, and staff is extremely responsive via email. The staff is kind and caring. Our dog Ziggy is clearly comfortable with them and looks forward to staying at Bark Avenue! He had a great time on his little vacation. We even found a cute photo of him living it up on their Instagram. He’s able to participate in play groups, which I can see have had a great impact on his behavior around other dogs in the neighborhood. I picked him up this morning and he is still passed out on the couch hours later, fully exhausted from the fun he had. I’m so glad we have found a reliable boarding option when our friends and family are unavailable. Thank you for taking care of Ziggy, he had a blast!

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff and facilities at Bark Avenue! Our rescue dog Lily loves going there, and is always happy and tired when we bring her home.The staff are kind, accommodating and really seem to love playing and caring for all the dogs there! Lily is always happy to see her human friends there :)The online booking functionality is super easy and convenient, and they are always quick to approve or deny the request based on their availability. Prices are reasonable, and their social media presence on Instagram is awesome - we love looking for our pup when she's there!

I'm a new customer (seems relevant to say since some of the negative reviews are from long-term customers). We have never used a kennel to board our dog before using Bark Avenue but I was thoroughly impressed with our experience. Our pet sitter cancelled on us last-minute and we had to board our sweet girl for a night or 2 for a recent trip. I'm knocking off a single star just because it's hard to get ahold of anyone on the phone. I stopped in the store since it's on my way to work anyway and spoke with the owner (Shawn) and she was SO nice and so accommodating. I was able to get off work early to bring our pup in for a temperance test and the manager (I forget her name) was amazing as well! Everyone was so nice even though I know I would have been annoyed with myself asking all these last minute requests but they were all very professional and helpful! My girl seemed very happy when I picked her up and I will definitely use Bark Avenue again! I found their pricing reasonable and it seems like they know what they're doing. I love that they have a 'non-social' side of the facility for pups like mine who LOVE humans but aren't so fond of other canines. From my experience, I would highly recommend this facility for your dog. Also, the hours seem normal to me as they open at 7am and close at 6:30pm.

Maybe fine for daycare, and I’m not going to lie they’ve helped me out more than a few times at the last minute, staff is nice, but I have a few cons.-my dog usually has caked on poo. Now I wasn’t mad the time it happened when I didn’t pay for a bath but the time I did I was kind of annoyed. I do bathe my dog after grooming but it kinda seemed like I shouldn’t have paid for that bath and had to clean up poop-sometimes he comes back from a few days there little runny and coughing. That being said, my dog is kind of a baby but the third or so time I stopped bringing him back.

Agree with the other reviewers that getting anyone on the phone is impossible, BUT I care more about how my pup is treated and that they spend more time in the back with the dogs than at the computer. Our frenchie freaks out with happiness every time we pull up and has never come home with any issues (except maybe being worn out from playing, which is a good thing). Staff are very friendly, which is saying a lot these days - customer service remains top priority here. Wish they posted more photos so you could catch a glimpse of your pal, but again not as important as watching the dogs.

The good people at Bark Ave take great care of my poodles. I usually call to check on them and they give detailed updates on my pups. The bath and brush is also such a life saver

I have been taking my two dogs here for a little over a month, and they have loved every minute of it. I have one very social dog (Tucker) and one who was traumatized from a rough past who wasn’t too great around other dogs and some people (Izzy). Since they have started, Tucker has gotten so much energy out, and Izzy has become much more comfortable around humans and dogs. I’m so grateful to the staff!

Would give them more stars if I could. Our Otis has been going there for the past 3 years and their services have significantly improved. We do not live as close by as we did but still make the commute to drop him off. My dog drags me through the parking lot just to get inside for doggie daycare. The staff is kind and patient. I can definitely tell they put a lot of love and energy into their work. They respond quickly. Grooming services are affordable and convenient.

We really love Bark Avenue Pet Resort. We take our dog to daycare and for boarding. The staff is very friendly, the rates are great, and our dog loves it. He seems to get a lot of playtime because he is exhausted each evening and can’t wait to go back the each time. I like that they post photos to social media so I can see him playing from time to time.

Wow oh wow! I can not say enough amazing things about Bark Avenue Pet Resort. They not only know Frankie by name when we walked in but they know his tendencies and offered to play with him inside with a ball since he prefers. Just moved to GA and was looking for a place to board my dogs for a weekend while I left town. Unfortunately I had not planned ahead and was looking to book a reservation on pretty short notice (called to book on Tuesday for the upcoming Fri-Mon).I saw that Bark Avenue had some great reviews and gave them a call to see if they were able to take my 2 dogs in. The people I spoke with on the phone were very friendly, understanding, and let me know what I needed to do in order to get my dogs all set up, booked, and ready for their stay.On Friday morning I drove up to drop off my dogs along with their beds, food, toys, etc and was greeted by the friendly staff that took my dogs and their things right away. Since I had never used this place before, I called on Saturday afternoon to check in on my pups and see how their visit was going.The staff gave me some information on how they were doing, how they had interacted with the dogs there, if they had eaten their food, how they were doing in their kennels, etc. I loved that they knew and remember my dogs names even just by telling me my first name. They kept me in the loop and were great.Finally, Monday had arrived and I knew that I would be getting into town late because of some flight delays. Unfortunately by the time I would get my car from the airport and drive to Bark Ave. they would have closed for the day and thus, I would’ve had to pay an extra night’s fee. This was okay, since my flight had gotten delayed and I understood that rules are rules.I had called Bark Ave. to inform them that even though they closed at 7 I wouldn’t be able to make it until 7:15. The manager said not to worry — she would stay the extra 15 minutes to make sure I got my pups home, as she knows if she was in my situation, she would want to see her dogs after a long weekend traveling.She did NOT have to extend that courtesy to me,. As a first time customer, I was incredibly thankful and appreciative of the service, friendliness, and time they put into ensuring that myself and my dogs had a positive experience.Next time I’m leaving town and cannot take my dogs, I will 100% be back at Bark Avenue.

We love Bark Avenue. We have been using Bark Avenue for about 4 or 5 years now, and it has always been a good experience there. The owner and the stuff are super nice. They know what they are doing. The facility is very clean and open. My dog is getting old (12 in July) and they treat her like a queen. I love that, and it gives us peace of mind when we are out of town.

Love this place. They’re so sweet to my labradoodle he runs in to say hey every time!! I never worry about him while i board him like i do at the other “country land” boarding places. He doesn’t come out smelling like a gross kennel either even if i don’t spring for the awesome grooming services they offer. - thanks bark avenue!

Wow! We love Bark Avenue and how well they treat our very hyper 6 year old doggy Riley Dobby. They always have something specific to say about her stay which is super helpful/nice. She seems to like going there which a HUGE plus! We drive 45 minutes to Bark Avenue after trying MULTIPLE other places to board closer to home. It’s definitely worth the drive to know she is in good hands.

This resort is AMAZING! I brought my Dog on Sunday for the week and truly appreciate the care they are showing him. He was in a hotel down the road for 3 hours and we knew immediately that this would not be a good fit for him. I called desperately EVERY kennel within 20 miles and NO one would consider due to Covid. This owner was so gracious and understanding of my immediate need and without hesitation welcomed Charley to chill with all the others in her care and of course practicing Covid protocol at the same time.I will start traveling 2 weeks of each month moving forward and am so blessed to have found this home away from home for Charley!

I can’t say enough good things!! Just picked up my 7ish month old from a couple nights of boarding and I can tell she had a blast!! She was barely happy to see me! Ha! They upload daily pictures to Instagram so you can see your pup playing and they know each dog by heart! I will be a lifelong customer!!

I boarded my two dogs at Bark Avenue for about two years when I was living in Atlanta (from 2015 to 2017), and after I have moved back to middle GA, on some occasions I drove to Atlanta with my dogs to board them there again when I needed a place for them to stay (in 2017 and 2018).I never had an issue with my pups being hurt during the almost four years I boarded my dogs with them. I am an extreme anxious and worried pet mom and I didn't have to worry about leaving my pups under their care. My pups got to know Nikki who was readily recognized by them once we got there. They always followed my instructions when they were boarded when it concerned medication, feeding and when one of my dogs needed attention one time I boarded him with a limping paw because he got hurt in another facility with ground made of pebbles.I was always concerned for my second dog because he isn't social like the first one, and I didn't want him to be aggressive or provoked towards other campers, and Nikki always gave me feedback that he was fine around other dogs in my absence and very sweet. I understand they keep the play groups very small which minimizes crowding and potentially unwanted mishaps.I am out of GA now and have to board them for the first time for 4 days where am living, and I honestly wish they were within driving distance so I wouldn't have to experiment with their safety in a new place here where I currently have no idea how it's going to be.So thank you for the time you cared for them when I needed to travel and for keeping their physical integrity and well being. That was one less thing for me to worry about. I hope I find a trustworthy practice where I am currently living but unfortunately I have to "experiment it" in a new place next week and I just hope they won't get hurt and that the new place will put their well being and safety first.

We love this place! The owners are top notch. They did animal rescue for years, so they truly care about your dogs. I have boarded a couple of other places because we have moved 30 minutes away but have always come back. Our dog is the happiest there and well taken care of.

We love this place. Even though we only come maybe twice a year, they always remember our dogs. One of ours has pretty severe separation anxiety and we struggled to find a boarder he would like. He enjoyed his stay here so much we haven't looked for anywhere else for him or his sister. Pretty convenient location, not too far off the highway at an exit that isn't crazy crazy busy.

Ownership changed and no notice given. Increased prices on day care and boarding, but changed hours.Who are you? Yes the rest of staff is still the same, thank goodness. I still need to know who is responsible for my joy.. My fur baby is family and what Verna and just did was 100% unprofessional. He was coming to Bark Avenue for 3 years. Thanks for nothing.

My sister and I agreed that Bark Ave. is the number 1 place to board our dogs after interviewing the top 10 facilities listed on google and other sites. Bark Ave. is even higher on my list today after 10 years of boarding my dogs there. The place is kept clean. You can drop by anytime for a tour, which we did. They have nothing to hide. The dogs are walked several times a day at no extra charge, unlike other places that charge for walks. They have a 5,000 sq. foot rubber padded play area. That's bigger than my house! The best part is that Vena, the owner, and her staff cater to older dogs with special issues. They took great care with my 12 year old German Shepherd and my old blind American Eskimo. Now my newest German Shepherd puppy has already stayed with them several times and is eager to get out of the car and run in. My sister has 4 dogs that stay there. The smallest pens are twice the size of any we saw at the 10 places we visited, roomy enough for my old German Shepherd and her huge orthopedic bed where she could lay on her side with room to spare. Someone is in the building 24/7 with the dogs so they are not alone at night. (no other kennel we visited had overnight staff) Vena, is the kindest person who helps find good homes for rescue dogs, or keeps and loves the ones that nobody wants. Bark Ave. is a wonderful, safe place and the staff loves the dogs. I'm so grateful I found Bark Ave. I drive from Sandy Springs to board my dogs there, it's well worth the trip.
