I was looking for someone to train my dog for weeks and I am so happy I came across Craig at this Brookhaven location! He is beyond amazing. From the first time we spoke on the phone, the questions he asked, the conversation and just overall genuine concerns about my fur baby was top tier! I 100% recommend letting Craig work with your dog. The entire training process and evaluations was everything we needed! Craig is the man! Don’t look anywhere else. My dog was told she was too hyper at other boarding places and we found out she does great here and is super loved by all the employees! She’s so excited and happy coming from here. I know she’s in great hands when I drop her off. I love it here!

Please do not send your dog to this place. Our sweet Buck had been going there for a little over a year and we thought we had found a place we trusted to care for our dog. Not even sure where to begin. About a month ago, he was on some medications for a stomach bug he had and was signed up to board here. The staff was great and listening to his medications and instructions but then when it came to pick him up they had not given ANY of his medications. What if these were crucial for Buck?? How TERRIFYING. We gave them grace and continued to use them until this past easter weekend… we picked up Buck at 6pm. He seemed a little off when they brought him out but did not think anything of it until i saw in his bag that had not fed him one of his meals!!! Then long story short the front desk lady had lied and basically indicated he had been given a bath that morning and never fed. When we got in the car, he was nudging at my water bottle and drank TWO water bottles full like he had not had any water all day. We get him home and he was starving. I called the manager the next day and she was very apologetic but still does not change what occurred. She told me they place food back in the containers when dogs don’t eat. We know this is not true in our case because he is a lab puppy (they always eat) and we place a treat and sprinkle his medication on his food which was untouched in the leftover food. My dog had been left in a kennel ALL day (after his morning bath) with no food or water. I told the manager- how would that make you feel?? It’s absolutely terrifying we are paying these people GOOD money to neglect our dogs. Buck is our life and i can not fathom him being in these peoples hands again. Circumstances could be a lot worse and they are lucky he is okay. I can only hope they use this as a learning experience but from previous reviews it indicates to me they don’t care and continue to be reckless.

Is there an option for NO stars?! Just picked our dog up after boarding for the first time and after just 4 days he (and all his things!) is SOAKED in urine. Had to give him a bath immediately. Wonder what state your dog would be in if you picked them up early? We tried to give a heads up but no one answered the phone after many tries. Now we are thankful to know how they are really treating pets. Water ran brown from urine for 2 shampoos once we got our sweet boy home. Will certainly not be going back!! Tried to call and speak to someone and was placed on hold twice for >9 minutes before I hung up and left a voice mail.

Well, my dog Joe has only been to Bark and Board once, but evidently he performed so well with the staff he's been invited back. Their services seem to be very comprehensive and their facility is one of the largest business canine buildings I've ever seen. The staff seem to be competent and enthusiastic dog lovers.

I took my dog for a bath and they mentioned she had some mats but they were not bad and they were able to get them out, so I was not charged the dematting fee. There was a very tiny spot, maybe half an inch long and even shorter in width, that they missed yesterday. I called and asked if I could bring her in to remove that spot they missed and they made me pay a full dematting fee which is odd to me because you could gotten it yesterday with the rest of them. And if you wanted me to pay that fee why was I not charged yesterday when you did the rest of them? I don’t think I should have to pay for an additional service for something they missed. They said I could come by in the afternoon and they would take care of of it, but no time was specified. I came and they were not able to fit her in. Then had me schedule for 3 days later. It was just strange and unnecessary for a business to make a stink over something so simple.

I brung my cockapoo ginger in for a full groom after going a month without brushing. She was matted a bit and I was worried she would have to go bald.However, SHE LOOKS SOOOO GOOD !I’m so happy and so thankful to the all of the staff there at bark and board. Everyone is always so polite and so helpful !! Thank you !! We love u guys

Love Bark and Board for Ginger. I’ve been in Atlanta for a year and this is the third grooming place I have tried.Other places have left cuts on gingers paw and behind her ear. My dog (Jack, English Bulldog, 11 years old) passed away on 8/2/2022 while staying at a Bark and Board @ Brookhaven. We were on a family vacation overseas and got the news right when we landed.The Boarding place staff took him to the Brookhaven Animal pet hospital after they found him unresponsive in the outside play area (which according to temp records it was around 89 degrees F) but it was already too late, they could not resuscitate him.We talked to the doctor at that hospital and his diagnosis is that he died of a heat stroke, he was overheated (based on his body temperature) and already dead by the time he arrived.We also met with the boarding facility Mgr right after that (Bark and board) and he acknowledged that this was their fault and lack of attention given the breed and temperature outside.Is important to notice that the day we dropped Jack at the boarding place, We explicitly asked the boarding place staff to avoid taking Jack out since its too hot outside and not good for a dog of his breed and age.We are shocked that this happened, Jack was a very healthy dog for his age with no issues in his record.Jack was part of our family, we are all devastated by this sudden news and we don't want this to happen to anyone. Avoid this place if you can… if you love your doggie.

I had a very good visitation with, Craig, one of the dog trainers here. I have to say that this is my second time working with Craig. I was first introduced to him two years ago, and since I just acquired a puppy that is going to be a protection dog, I knew no one else to call, but knew I needed to call him again to get the job done. We met today so he could show me how to walk with my pup on a leash. He is needed for that alone if you are having trouble in that area. I recently tried to leash my pup, but she acted as if she was a horse, and I was using a lasso to get her attention. By the end of the meeting, my pup was able to be on the leash with no problem. She sat very attentive and quiet with Craig when we went back inside to rest, and this is my aim for her behavior moving forward. Today was her first time out seeing the public from her view other than my yard, and she was pleased. She not quite three months old, but I will continue to use these services to get my pup doing what I need her to do to be the protector I know that Craig can make her be. Craig’s passion for his job is felt throughout the interaction, and you’ll be pleased each time you go and see him. He definitely was born to do what he does. Welcome the “dog whisperer” from the greater Atlanta area to help with your canine needs.

Bark and Board are great! We have been taking our puppy Peach for about 2 months now and she loves it! The employees there are so nice and they are all great with Peach greeting her with such big smiles! Even when I had certain concerns and requests for how to groom my dog they have always been pretty accurate and make sure to relay those instructions over to the groomer.We also have our puppy doing training with one of the trainers - Craig, who is incredible! His approach and style is very professional and knew exactly what our puppy and we needed to train her well, she has been doing great so far and we will continue with his services! The one thing we liked was he was focused on training us as well and helping us understand what Peach needs, her behaviour and how to train her correctly! I have been to many trainers before and Craig is at the top of our list, he doesn't fluff anything, he is very patient with Peach and us as well and is always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had. Peach loves Craig and so do we! Thanks for being great!!!

Lia had a great stay at Bark & Board Brookhaven. My boyfriend and I boarded her for 4 nights. It was great watching her on the cameras and knowing she was happy and comfortable in big, clean, quality suites and spacious yards. We love the prices, too.However, there was miscommunication with a few incidences, such as her bed being destroyed, her nail being cut too short, what day she would be bathed, and what time we were supposed to pick her up.Brittany was great. She set up our reservation and let us tour the place. We were told Lia would be bathed Monday night for us to pick her up Tuesday morning (today).This morning when we arrived around 11:30am, we were told by Ari that Lia had not been bathed yet and that we were supposed to pick her up at 1:45, which nobody told us.When we came back at 1:45, we were told that Lia’s bed had been destroyed, which wasn’t a big deal, but I asked when it happened, and they said they think it happened a day or two ago.The biggest incident was when Lia was brought out to us and her quick started bleeding badly. They brought out Styptic Powder to stop her bleeding and let us keep the bottle. Dream, the manager, said it was strange that she was bleeding because there wasn’t any blood in the suite she was staying in. Already, this was making no sense and nobody was giving us any straightforward information.When we got home today, I called and spoke to Dream (manager) again to express my concerns for the lack of communication during Lia’s stay. We had not received a single phone call about anything.Dream apologized, and said as far as Lia bleeding, she spoke to the groomer (Jess) who said Lia did not bleed when her nails were trimmed. Dream went on to say what may have happened was that Lia’s nails were filed down too much on the pavement when she was let out after her nails were clipped.However, she then put Mike (General Manager) on the phone, and he said the groomer communicated to him earlier today that Lia’s nail had been cut too short and that she had been monitoring the bleeding for about an hour, and Mike apologized to us for forgetting to tell Dream.Keeping in mind, this was said immediately after Dream told us she talked to the groomer who told her nothing happened with Lia’s nail.The destroyed bed and the nail being cut short are common incidents with dogs. What we can’t get past is the lack of communication to us and between staff, and seemingly lying to cover up a mistake.Mike (GM) credited us, and the phone call ended on a good note. Lia is happy and healthy and acting perfectly normal, so we know she was taken care of for the most part while she was there.The place itself is really nice. If it were ran better, it’d be perfect. Even so, we don’t trust the staff after today.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We've been boarding our dog there for 2.5 years for short and longer stays and each time it's been super easy. My kids and I love the web cam to watch him play with the other dogs. Definitely recommend it.

I had the pleasure of working with Craig at Bark and Board Brookhaven. I cannot recommend him highly enough! Craig's approach was exactly what my puppy and I needed to build a strong and healthy relationship. I appreciated his focus on training the "owner" and not the dog - the dog is NEVER the problem <3. He quickly assessed my puppy's needs and was able to customize a training program that addressed our specific issues (reactivity, obedience). Craig was patient, to the point, and always willing to answer any questions I had. He truly cares about his clients and their dogs, and it shows in his work.

We have an 8 yr old pit that my son rescued when she was 3 mos old. She is very active - loves to go on long walks and run at the park. She understood basic commands but was becomming more difficult for me to handle both on walks and around other dogs. She has been at day care at Bark & Board for a number of years and we love the care and love the folks there give us.I started her in training a month or so ago with Craig, first by herself and now in private lessons with me. Craig is amazing. He has shown us that it isn't about your dominance over the dog but establishing control through obedience and learning your dogs behavior, responses and reactions. Not aggressiveness, but focus and communication. It is taking a lot of practice and repetition. But, as Craig suggested, we always end our training session on a good note! In his book, Cynology for Dummies, Craig explains a great deal around his method of training and why it is so effective. I recommend it to everyone who has a dog! While we are still in training, we have seen incredible improvement in her obedience. Thank you, Craig! And go read his book!

A great experience, period. My new beagle has a bit of separation anxiety, so I decided to try B&B on those once-or-twice-a-week times when I need to be gone for more than two or three hours. The staff is wonderful, the place is spotless, and my beagle has a great time. He loves being there instead of in the house by himself. Worth the care and peace of mind at twice the price!!Followup: 10 months later and asattached to this place as ever. Great folks, great facilities, great experience....for both my dog and me.

I left Puppy Haven aka "Puppy Hatin" after a terrible experience and came to Bark and Board Brookhaven.I've been using B&B for 5 months now and have been beyond delighted with how the staff cares for my fur-baby and me as a fur-parent. My dog literally gets so excited when we are pulling up in the parking lot, its hilarious!🐾I pick my dog up around 6pm and he is asleep within 15 mins of leaving. This is a "purrfect" solution for me after long days at work. 👍👍

This morning, I stopped by to make a reservation for our dog Elvis. I was greeted by a young lady who’s name is Tori. She was very kind, pleasant and extremely helpful. She got our reservation all set for Elvis and scheduled a bath for him on the day we pick him up.Tory is the first person I saw when I came into Bark and Board this morning. Bark and Board is the. Best kept secret in dog grooming in ATL. The staff goes above and beyond and are very knowledgeable, grooming my 14 mo standard poodle is hard work! They are AFFORDABLY PRICED! And you don’t have to schedule 6 weeks in advance to barely hope for an appointment. In town groomers are so swamped that it’s very very difficult to find a good groomer that doesn’t cost a fortune that won’t put you on a waitlist! I drive here from Morningside and am happy to do so. I feel so lucky to have found them!
