just left dr I have covid the rude lady at drive-thru tells me if I want my prescription I would have come in tell her I don't feel good then she says if I stay in drive-thru cars will line up and she will have stay till late ridiculous she was awful and rude will be reporting her

All in all, I’d say this is the best Walgreens in Athens. I’ve been using their pharmacy for years and shop in-store as well. The staff is very kind, things are ready in time and I’ve never had an issue. You can consider my a satisfied customer!

This used to be the pharmacy in Athens that was a little more expensive for a little faster service. Now, this is just the place where (patients) people who need medications come to die of old age. Specifically, even twenty four hours isn't enough time for a "two hour wait" and no one wants to hear how many people there are in front of us. Just a time when I can pick up my meds and having it ready at that time would be great.

The huge sign that says free flu shots is a lie. They tried to charge me 70$, way higher than other places. They informed me that in very tiny writing at the bottom left of the sign that you literally cannot see unless if you kneel down it gives a disclaimer for "only some insurance". Slowest pharmacy. Stood in drive thru for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging me or saying it would take a minute. I was there before there was a line inside. They could close the drive thru or ask people to come inside if they can’t even work like they’re supposed to.

I was prescribed antibiotics experiencing a sever infection due to a tooth - 36 hours later - I have not received said medication - asked for it to be transferred to CVS - still no medication. Avoid this place at all cost.

The walgreens in Homewood Hills closed. So I had my prescriptions transferred here. They will be transferred out of here ASAP. The pharmacists are not only either seriously understaffed, or incredibly slow. As far as personalized helpful service it is obviously not a job requirement nor part of standard operating procedure. My father has six prescriptions with them. I had gone yesterday to have them filled. Four of them were available to be refilled and two of them could not be filled till today because insurance would not cover them till today.This led to a most frustrating conversation with two pharmacists who refused to acknowledge that they could see what meds were filled yesterday and which were not. They stated we cannot tell you the names of his medications. Well, I’m not asking for the names. I’m just asking for unfilled meds to be filled. I had to track down the list of his meds and read them off to them. Then they would tell me if they had been filled yesterday or not. This after I had been in the store in person the day before and not needed to undergo a third degree inquisition to get his meds filled. I am so outta here. As others have stated save yourself aggravation and take your Rx somewhere else.

Went to an urgent care across the street and was told my prescriptions were going to be ready in 3 minutes after my appointment, but they couldn’t get a common flu medication to me for another 40 minutes of me waiting. 3 months before this the same thing happened and they were completely out of the medication I needed for a sinus infection so I had to drive around looking for another place to pick it up to no prevail. No one likes waiting when you have a fever and this seems like a common theme at the Hawthorne Walgreens.

If I could give this location -5 stars, I would. To say this pharmacy is slow would be the biggest understatement of all time. I’ve watched fruit mold faster than this place moves. Do yourself a favor and transfer your prescriptions elsewhere. You’ll thank me!!

Drive thru takes a while, but it was only because of other customers. It's supposed to be a quick convenience, but other customers who knew they had insurance problems or extra questions to ask used it and held up the line. Otherwise my prescription was ready within an hour, which is pretty great since I wasn't waiting and the usual time for a prescription to be filled at any pharmacy is an hour and a half if you're not waiting since it's less of a priority.

My husband and I went through for our appointment for Covid test on Monday, 1-4-21 at 9:15. I'm telling you what. The girls working the drive through were FANTASTIC! They were efficient, patient in explaining everything and just overall courteous and caring.

I do not usually leave reviews, but I had to take the opportunity to thank the Walgreens pharmacist, Sara, for patiently discussing my options and providing an emergency refill/ supply of oral steroid for my son when his inhaler was out of stock. It was late in the evening and he would not have been able to get a good night of sleep without her help. I was extremely frustrated at the time, and she really took the time to help me out. I will never forget it! Thanks, Sara!!

DO NOT GO HERE. I ordered a canvas print from here and it said it was ready at 5. I go to pick it up at 615 and it wasnt done. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes before someone helped me. Then I had gotten about 10 or 15 things for my house and I had coupons on my Walgreens app. Before I even started scanning I told the woman that I needed to use my coupons. She rang me up and they didn't go through. I told her I entered my phone number and she said since she had scanned one paper coupon (she took it from my hand) that she would have to void the whole transaction and do it again. Well okay I dont mind that because it's her job to scan me out. She was too busy talking and being on her phone to even help when i got in there. I just stood there and she said it again and just looked at me. She didn't rescan my products and just expected me to pay 30 dollars more than I needed to. i walked out. This is ridiculous. I work all damn day too and if I need to have coupons to afford laundry detergent do not be rude to me and refuse to scan them

This is a Great store. The staff is always working hard and helpful. I have noticed alot of New faces. I normally do not post reviews. I was shopping their tonight. The female up front was very rude. Her name tag said Audrey. She didnt have on a uniform. She was handling the register. Not only did she talk rudely to Guest. She had an attitude with the manager who was working. I shop here alot. She was really rude to me about a coupon. She didnt even try to scan it. She kept saying walgreens does not allow it. She made the waiting time longer. She called for the manager.He came to help on the other register. I had never seen this manager before. Her tone towards him was awful. Her behavior comes off very aggressive. It wasnt my first time of her acting this way towrds me and other Customers. I normally come most evenings. I've never been talk to the way she talk to me.

Go to a different pharmacy. I came to get a flu shot. Waited for a full hour and a half. Two girls came in and received their flu shots and left. I was still waiting. The pharmacist that gave them their flu shot said she could not help me because her shift was over. This is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for something that takes seconds to administer.

I went in with a friend to fill a prescription at the pharmacy. Saman Kazemi (the pharmacy manager) was the individual who "helped" us. He was very blunt and rude from the get go. When it came time to pay for the prescription, my friend gave him her insurance card (which clearly stated that it started in January on the card). When he looked it up in the system, it said it had expired. Instead of asking if it could be under a parents name (seeing as we're in a college town, that seems almost obvious), he just said she can either pay, or take the prescription elsewhere. I normally give people the benefit of the doubt, but he was excessively rude and argumentative for no reason. We finally got him to talk to my friends mother on the phone to get it ironed out. Instead of admitting that he was wrong, he just put the prescription down on the table and said it worked and started scolding my friend on how she needs to do a better job explaining things next time. First off, he was arguing about something he was wrong about and second, he never stopped to ask any questions. There were a few times when one of us would start saying to look up her mother since the policy was in her name and he just walked away, or started helping other people. As he was scolding her I said it's over and it worked out so there's no need to keep being rude. He still managed to get his last two cents in. I asked for his name and he first said "I'm the pharmacy manager" like that should make a difference. All in all, he was a very rude and unpleasant individual. Definitely the last time we go to that pharmacy and Walgreens.

Like it wasn’t bad enough to have panhandlers rush your car outside as soon as your park, now they actually follow you inside the store and stalk customers down the isles. We had a couple hit us up for money and saw them chase down a poor dude that got cornered and ended up going to the atm to give these people cash. We said something to the cashier but he said there were nothing they could do.

waited 20+ minutes at 6:30 on a Sunday evening, they couldn't find apparently the only key to open the case where printer ink cartridges are. Really? They are not locked up in every store. This was ridiculous...

Poor customer service at pharmacy department, they called me & said my prescriptions were ready for pick up, they couldn't find my prescription the staff walked away from me at the counter not even noticing me, too long of a wait time just to pick up, very unorganized.

Recently started closing at 11pm or midnight and don't reopen until 6 am. Lost my business to CVS because I work second shift and need a pharmacy/grocer open close to home at 4am

Aside from occasionly being difficult to get in-and-out of traffic wise, this is a perfectly good Walgreens and I haven't had any bad experiences with it so far using it as my pharmacy.
