This place is pitiful. I have lived here for 10 years and this Sam’s has been on the decline ever since. Bathrooms are always disgusting. Trash overflowing, tables never cleaned. Employees at the deli never have pizzas cooked or cooking.

Update: I decided to update my review after visiting again and they still only have 1 cashier but the wait wasn't terrible and she was very pleasant. Shopping carts were stacked as to have easy access when you come in. So far so good.I use to love shopping here but have noticed a trend. There are never any carts when you come in, I always have to get one from parking lot not because they are all in use but because they have not been retrieved from the cart return areas in the parking lot. There is always just 1 cashier and usually very rude with a bad attitude.

I came in to try out a new membership. Member Services could not figure out how to use promotion code for new members. So they instructed me to do it online. Well, when doing it online it stated I was already a member because they just added my information into their system. I came back to get additional help. The only 2 managers in store were clueless and apparently the GM is on leave. I guess I’ll stay at Costco.

Never go on a Saturday, but I'm a customer here practically everyday. And the customer service is great! Shoutout to Ms. Sheila! She always remembers me whenever I see here, she knows my whole family. Bless her soul. Lol

I am very sad to write this review. I have been shopping at this store for at least 25 years. I have always had an exceptional shopping experience, until today. I needed help on self check out and thought I had gotten Linda's ( supervisor) attention. Nope she walked away and went down an aisle to use her phone. I spoke to Mary, who was on a register and explained I was trying to get help from a girl with long hair and a clip board. She pointed at the aisle and said is that her on her phone? I said yes. We still couldn't get her attention. So Mary walked over to help me before my ice cream melted. Then eventually, Linda showed up by a table at the Cafe. I told her I have never had a bad experience in this club until today. I told her I didn't appreciate her ignoring me so she could use her phone. She got smart with me. I said I am writing a review and calling corporate. She could care less. I said they should be able review the cameras and see exactly what you did. She said have a nice day. I called corporate and got an incident number from Roa.Then I called the club and drove with Joy. She was very nice and offered me a gift card. I said no, I don't want anything but these employees to provide exceptional customer service.

It's astounding that in 2024 I can still be racially profiled! There is exactly one employee who stops me every time she is at the door to check my membership status. Does she expect something to change each time she sees me? I'm there almost every other week and have been doing so for almost a full year. She never checks anyone entering the store ahead of me. She never checks anyone who has entered the store after me. She never speaks to my partner, who is white. None of the other employees ever stop me either. I mean, you have to have a membership in order to make a purchase. Your discretion looks like discrimination when I'm the only one who ever has their membership questioned. I guess I'm just too black to look like I shop at Sam's Club...

While we love shopping at Sam’s, we had purchased our membership renewal online and was having some issues with it. Customer service offered no help and ask us to move out of the line after standing there for 10 minutes waiting on her to assist the customer in front of us.

WORST SAMS EVER! Worst customer service, and horrible people working there who are rude and will treat you disgusting. Mid conversation with what seems to be a manager decides to walk away from us because the word Costco was mentioned. She said that we were being negative and she won’t deal with us because I mentioned something Costco did for us. In front of all the employees THAT is the example she set forth for them. Don’t work customer service if walking away from a customer is how you can handle a situation. Sad and disgusting, closing my membership and never returning. After being a customer for well over 15 years, this is the treatment we get for a simple return question. Also couldn’t get her name because when asked she walked away once again showing the back of her name tag… smh.

I always love going to Sams, I get everything I need and plus some! There's so much of a variety of things in store that it truly can almost be a one stop shop. Especially if you like to buy in bulk!

I had an online order for pickup and they gave me spoiled chicken. I called the next day they said I can come in and exchange it. When I go to exchange it, they said they couldn’t. Then they offered me a cash refund for the exchange and changed their minds. Luckily I don’t have kids to feed but im canceling my membership asap. All they did was refund the money to my card.

Nice place but I mainly come here for the cafe and gas because I’m broke. My one and only complaint thus reflected by the 3 stars is because of the “Café.” Every time I come to get a cheap dinner they are out of this, they no longer serve that or they are closed all together. I just wish it was more consistent. Saw them give away my pizza on day after they told me that they no longer serve the supreme and that they had run out of the meat for the meat pizza. I keep coming because of my membership and my tight budget but I am disappointed every time.

Clean and convenient Sam's location. Despite covid cows, has all the basic amenities of Sam's including the gas station.This is not one of the giant Sam's locations but is certainly big enough.The staff is friendly but I don't interact with them as much as I used to since the scan and go app was made available. With that app you can zip in and out of there faster than a 7-Eleven...In general it is a standard Sam's experience. I will put a few observations below, but I think they may be reflective of Sam's corporate more than local management.First, they seem to move things around on almost a daily basis. I think this is intentional so that you have to wander around more. But for a while it got pretty aggravating when you never knew where anything was. Seems to be a little better lately.They do have some things in strange locations like the water is behind the grocery area. It's not with the other drinks. In fact drinks seem to be in 3-4 different locations around the storeProbably not a local issue but I am aware that the covid outbreak greatly impacted cows milk production. My understanding was that the cow's masks kept falling off. But for a while you couldn't get half and half. I did find plenty there today.Anyway, The staff is super friendly. One special note is the young lady that works outside at the gas station area is always super friendly and conversational.A good Sam's club experience.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sam’s Club so this review is only directed towards the Hispanic girl working in the Cafè area today. 1:45pm 3/27/24 Unfortunately I didnt get her name. I asked for a Coke Icee and she looked at me and lied in my face saying it was broken, I could tell by her tone of voice and facial expressions she was lying. As I’m eating I watch her trade off with a coworker Crystal, and that girl starts serving the Icees to guests and DOING HER JOB. ( Even when the line started getting long for her. )It was just a blatant lie because she was being l a z y - there wasn’t a long line or anything at the time. Please get better work ethic!

Never expected to come here and have the door greeter racially profile upon entering. No one behind us was asked to show a membership card, but we were. Find other people to work the store that aren't racist or we won't be coming back. This is unacceptable.

I arrived at 12:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve and I barely got in the door before the greeter who was just inside turned around and literally got in my face saying in a loud, almost demanding voice, "I need to see your card or the app." That's fine. I get that you need to see the card but don't be just inside the door and turn around to take people off guard getting in people's face talking loudly. Lower your voice and be more polite. She was blonde with I think wavy shoulder length hair. I'm not totally sure because it took me off guard. My wife was already inside just inside the door waiting on me and I pointed to her and the greeter said oh okay.

If there was an option for zero stars I would give that. This is by far the worst Sams Club I have ever been to. I wrote a bad review last weekend as well about the exit employees checking receipts, that had one lady working it with a mile long line. Today, they have one person on a Sunday working Customer service and i’ve waited for over 30 minutes to simply return 1 item. We will not be renewing our membership with Sams. The new Costco in Athens will be getting our business.

Standard Sam’s Club experience- just be careful with made-in-store items.Bought a fruit & cheese tray. Didn’t discover until the next day that another label had been placed over an existing one. The new label had a later “Sell by” date. After eating a few pieces of fruit I noticed many of the underlying strawberries were actually moldy and many of the grapes were beginning to rot.

A decent Sam's. They have the snack area, the optical, and the pharmacy. On the weekends, they have samples of many different things. But they also have vendor sales people that will aggravate you in every corner of the store. and, just like most other Sam's, never enough cashiers.

I really like this location, the employees are really helpful. I had a full cart of items and the scan and go was down and I had no physical cards with me and one of the employees were willing to hold on to my cart while I ran home to get my physical debit card!

Placed an online pickup order at 8pm on 11/3. Said my order would be ready between 4-5pm the next day. I get here and my order is not ready. No one would answer the phone. Had to go in physical store which just defeats an online pickup system. Do better.

The employee are rude and we did "scan and go" and the made us wait over an hour to rescan all are stuff because they didn't trust we scan everything, while the store was empty and close. We spent about 2,000 Dollars there and did not deserve to be treated that way.

I want to tell you how wonderful Tren is. He a kind handsome young man who's employed with Sam's in Athens, GA. Tren saw me struggling with my sister who is a person with autism. She was giggling, dancing and just full of energy. Tren saw me heading to get water and he immediately jumped in and offered to help. He put two cases of 40 count waters into our buggy. This was a big deal to me. Often we've encountered people who stare and/or laugh at my beautiful sister. Tren had no time for such foolishness... And he is appreciated. God bless you Tren.

Athens sam's club have sushi bar right now.Sushi chef make the sushi at sam's club,so very very fresh.I like California roll and Tiger roll.They are so so good.I take the party tray every weekend for my family.We love sushi.
