We recently took our new puppy rescue dog to Gaines Shoal both because it is close to us and because of a recommendation from a previous employee. Our puppy needed her second shots, plus ongoing care. We saw Dr Ellis, and Lexi (our 11-week old dog) had her intake with a vet tech. In a word, we are so happy that we came here. Honestly, I wish more MD's and their staffs were as kind. The offices are new and right next to the Publix, so there is plenty of parking. The building is immaculate. We were greeted by staff, and within a few minutes, our Vet Tech escorted us in to an exam room. He calmed our puppy and expertly examined Lexi to get the information he needed. Yes, we then had to wait a few minutes for Dr Ellis because he was with another patient. But when Dr Ellis came in, he was really engaged in Lexi and in us, and he spent overtime with us! He was incredibly knowledgeable. He treated us and Lexi with respect and humor. We understood why he would be a little late: he treats everybody with this same care, and that takes time. At checkout, the fees are what you expect from any other vet in the ACC. That's all I can say. The staff made sure to answer any questions, and they even called us the next day to make sure Lexi was doing OK from her second shot. We're glad we chose Dr Ellis and Gaines Shoal. (Piedmont could learn a thing or two from him). We absolutely recommend Gaines Shoal.

Ms. Robin always takes the best care of my cat, Maggie Mae! Our now deceased senior cat, Sparky, loved her too and she always treated him with dignity and respect even when he could be a bit spicy in his old age. We love Ms. Robin and can’t thank her enough for how great she has been with our cats! She is the absolute best around and I recommend her to everyone!!

This place is a business more than anything.Yes, they will be nice and take care of your animal for the most part, albeit in a relatively slow and costly manner. In two visits, you will spend nearly half a month's rent. Only for them to see your animal for maybe 15 minutes, sell (emphasis on "sell") you 1-2 medications for your pet and to tell you to come back if the problem persists.But that's not all! In the meantime they will also call you and bombard you with emails about your pets "necessary" (but not really 100% necessary) overpriced visits and/or vaccinations or advertising specific food brands that they sell.If they're going to charge us so much for everything they should at least be thorough with explaining what everything is. I personally had to go out of my way to research the medications they were prescribing for my pet to properly understand what they are for.Again, they'll take care of your pet if you're willing to spend the money, but otherwise I'd say you're better off going somewhere else.

It's literally all the best parts of the Shoal Creek Animal Clinic and the Gaines School Animal Hospital (with Barber Creek Veterinary Hospital added in for fun). Of course, I think the best parts of those previous hospitals were ALL OF IT!
