I've been a weekly shopper for years and I wish I could get everything I need here. The meat section keeps me going back. They don't seem to have regular coffee filters which I find very annoying. The produce is usually good but they are surprisingly lacking in organic varieties of a lot of fruits. The customer service is not what it used to be. They seem to have a lot of turnover.

If you are in Athens and you’re looking for clean food choices then Earth Fare is the place! I stopped in after a basketball game and I was pleased with all of the organic options! I loved having many food and beverage choices that supports my lifestyle. I decided to grab lunch at the hot bar. The Italian tofu and the mixed veggies were seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be back when I’m in Athens.

I 've always known this store was here in Athens. I had been here once in the past but never came back for whatever reason. I've always been a healthy conscious person and I must admit I let my health get out of control some years back,so decided to get back on track.I started back coming to this store over 6 months ago and I will not stop this time I love it I am a regular now lol,they have so many healthy options from fruits,breads meats,snacks,herbal,soaps,etc you name it they have it. This is my #1 grocery store in Athens!!

My mom and I love Earth Fare and we have been coming here for years. Our favorite is the hot and cold bar where the food is priced per pound. Their tofu is amazing and there are several vegan options. I especially love the vegan gumbo and the vegan "chicken" fajitas. There is a nice place to sit and eat (either indoor or outdoor) or they have to-go boxes if you wish to take the food home.The bakery is amazing and we always get cookies...even for sweets we try and stay away from things with preservatives.There are lots of soaps, candles, and other natural care products.We also love the bulk items where you can get nuts, lentils, beans, etc. You can grind your own nut butter (peanut and almond) and I have even found some exotic dried fruits like goji berries.It is a bit expensive but I believe worth every penny since we are trying to live the natural, green, and (mostly) vegan way (that cheese is hard to give up)!

Nice store - unique selection of items. The deli items are somewhat "hit or miss". The "Cookies by the pound (lb)" could be prepared better (not the tastiest pastries overall). Mixed berry cake 3/5. Nice staff.

Usually the staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and stocked. However their "store brand" stuff is limited and some items are too expensive. I couldn't find Mayo for less than $6, and their seafood selection is small to nonexistent .

I love their abundant selection of healthy and exceptionally fresh food options! And their products are high quality. This has got to be one of my favorite stores. It's also very clean and well maintained. The people working there are awesome as well.

This location is a great fit for the neighborhood. I enjoy the prepared foods, olive bar, meat, cheese, nut, and produce the most. They have a lot of unique products that can be fun to try out. Some of the products get discounted which is nice for frequent shoppers. I like to check out the community poster board, and the people working here are always friendly and helpful.

An absolutely amazing place. My wife and I only regret we didn’t find this gem sooner! Reasonable prices for fresh organic foods. Meat prices are real good, and the meat quality is amazing! Staff approached us numerous times asking if they could help with anything. They even have a bulk food section! Remember those? Great deli and fresh hot foods. Great wine selection! Really happy with the store and our experience. Our new “go to” for fresh foods and meats.

I go there only because you cannot find some stuff easily in other stores. However, there are other goods of same brand and quality that they sell in much higher prices. Recommend going on Wednesdays for their discounted sushi and Fridays for the discounted pizza.

Earth Fare is a complicated establishment. While I understand that organic is always going to be more expensive, Earth Fare has to figure out how to decrease costs. Besides their meat selection (which is honestly phenomenal), everything in the store will cost you extra, and this adds up quickly. I only go there because I live nearby, but I wouldn’t think about it twice if I lived just an inch closer to any other market. And even now, I only shop at there for timely essentials!I have hope for the brand, and with the recent bankruptcy, maybe they will figure out how to create a more reasonably priced shopping experience. Beyond cost, the staff has always been nicer than any other market, and I do really like their new store layout. The quality of the hot bar has decreased, but I will give them a pass due to COVID.

I love getting healthy food from the hot and the cold bar. Yeah prices on many items in the store are high, However considering the quality of the food on the hot and cold bar the prices there not high at all when compared restaurants even fast foodWhile the tables inside and outside are ok they could be wiped off more often

The prices are more expensive on the same products sold at Kroger. However, I appreciate the food philosophy (including the "boot list") and have learned a lot from shopping here. I also appreciate that their produce section is not exclusively organic so that shoppers have choices for lower-cost food. The customer service has also been good. But I simply cannot afford for this to be my primary grocery store.

I seriously enjoy walking around this place. A little out of the way for me so I go every two weeks for water, specialty items ready made snacks from the deli area and items that are hard to find elsewhere. I get organic produce from my main grocery store because the price is lower ( sorry Earth Fare). Great ambiance, everyone is friendly. Took one star off because my hubby got sick off bad chicken Alfredo that I brought him home one day ( he ate same night) and all they did was offer an $8 refund and a cookie. I’m Vegan myself so I have never had an issue with fresh prepared things I’ve bought myself. I still shop here and will continue to do so. I do recommend to others.

Good hot food bar for a quick lunch, good juice and smoothie bar, also sometimes has amazing prices on chicken, keep an eye out for them. Great for finding some higher quality brands, but also some packaged goods (pasta, canned stuff, etc) is the exact same stuff as Kroger but 2 x as expensive. So just shop aware. Also for those who like to bring containers from home for bulk, they let you do that here.

Decent selection of the hard to find fare, but you can always find it cheaper online. Organic produce is absolutely cheaper at Kroger. BUT...you had the added knowledge that some of the food is locally sourced, which is nice. Huge selection of grains, flour, nuts and candy that you can buy by the weight, and I thought the make-your-own-peanut butter and pour your own honey stations are cool. But again, the price will definitely get to your wallet. Great little cafe, snack bar and bakery inside.

Really interesting and pretty complete organic grocery store! They also have a top notch buffet! We toured the grocery store and were delighted with our lunch. There was a clean and comfortable eating area that made our trip. Will definitely be back!

Growing up my family shopped here pretty frequently, and as an adult, I’ve also patronized Earth Fare. This place has always been hit or miss, and there have been plenty of times when I walk out and think “I’m never shopping there again.” Prices continue to rise, which I’m willing to accommodate, but the quality has gone down. The food on the hot bar is always dry these days and the cookies are almost too hard to chew. The deli is still pretty good, though. The staff are either very friendly and helpful or act as if you asking a question is a major inconvenience to them - no in between. The one thing that has helped me overlook the inconsistency is the juice/smoothie bar, but today I went in to get a juice and I was informed that they shut the juice bar down until further notice (late spring or summer) because not enough people were patronizing it. I understand that business is slower due to the pandemic (another reason why I want to still shop here), but it’s not like there’s an employee stationed at the juice bar that they have to pay (you have to ask someone at the deli for help). Also, they get the ingredients from their own produce section and the juices are very expensive, so I know they’re making up for that loss. I’m just really disappointed because I like shopping local and keeping this place alive, but I can’t spend my money there when they no longer have what I want or when the quality continues to decrease. Also, despite the price and long wait, the juice bar was the best in Athens, so not having that is sad.

The sales can be quite good at times on produce and meat. Bakery and buffet is good for the most part. Some of the brands they carry however, can be found elsewhere for almost half the price. The biggest disappointment is that they package HOT, roast chicken in plastic bags. Quite ironic for a health food store to have plastic leeching into a hot ready made chicken

I love Earth Fare. They are back under a new management and the place is so so so nice to shop. Excellent collection of products, and the prices are very reasonable. In the Athens store they would cut whole chicken into small pieces if you ask for it.

I love Earth Fare! I only go every once in a while because I'm on a budget, but they do have great sales sometimes! Also love their prepared food options for lunch and dinner. Such a mellow place to be. And they carry my favorite tea that I could only otherwise find in Guam. So I love this Grocery!

Very high prices compared to Trader Joe's, and higher than Whole Foods. Difficult to see it surviving once more people order online from Google Express or via Amazon. Which, is unfortunate as staff are very pleasant and nice to be around with rather good recommendations on items.

They have some good weekly deals. I often find that the prices are more expensive for same brands or similar items at Publix or Kroger. On Mondays they have $5 rotisserie chickens which is a good buy and on Wednesdays they do $5 sushi rolls. The sushi can be a little misleading because its not all their sushi rolls. It only pertains to certain ones. Over all my experiences in Earthfare have been good. I have not had any customer service issues at all and feel that the only bad thing I have experienced is their pricing.Edit: 3/17/2020 Earthfare in Athens has now closed.

For a month their ice machine at the drink counter has been out. No ice. Heat wave weather and no ice for drinks in here which are warm to hot coming out of the dispenser. NO ICE. I have brought this issue up to them each time and nothing is being done about this. I asked the guy behind the counter When are they going to fix this? He actually had the nerve to say It's not broken. I said Oh yes it is! It certainly isn't working is it?! He had no answer. I brought it up to the cashier who said they have to get somebody down from corporate to fix it and they're waiting ... That did it for me. I'm complaining and leaving a bad review. And contacting corporate next. Ugh.

This was my first time at Earth Fare. I could tell it was very popular particularly with the people who lived in the area. The location allows for many people to walk from their homes or apartments. They specialize in organic foods and Specialty Health items. Their prices are a little on the high end. But there are some items that are easy to find there and difficult to locate or not available in other stores.

OBSESSED WITH THIS GROCERY ❤️❤️ They carry “Not Milk” and its the BEST vegan milk I’ve ever had. Also the bulk spices are so lovely. Very covid safe environment.
