New layout looks great. Customer service still blows. Both self checkouts weren’t working so I stood at their main register waiting while they worked on the self checkout….while I stood there 5 minutes just wanting to pay and leave. Wasn’t even acknowledged.

Great customer service here. I don't interact, but I'm always listening out to those that do. Stores always clean and stocked too. Never had problems here.

This is the best Dollar General I had ever been to. The store is super clean, and stocked. The lady in the back I didn't catch her name but friendly and helpful. The cashier Trey I hope I have his name right but very friendly and fast with getting customers in and out. Big ups to the manager over there.

I came in there was only 2 lady’s workers but the lady cashier was very ruse & I believe racist to be honest! Short blonde hair/ White lady. I was being absolutely nice to her & she was just rude. Never seen her before first time in this store & i just paid & left.

Super nice people. Well lit. Very neat and organized. Necessary items, convenient to home without having to go into a big grocery store. Also has organizing and cleaning items for cheap cheap

I stopped by this store today and this is the BEST Dollar General...This store is stocked so well w products and GREAT customer service ..I told the manager Andrea that this store looked great today and I was sending in a review cause most Dollar General's are EMPTY...Not this one keep up the GREAT work y'all !!!

For as many items as are packed into the space the store isles and restroom are always clutter free and clean. Employees and knowledgeable and always pleasant. They are what ultimately keeps me coming back. 😉

This store has gone so downhill within the last couple of months. The new employees don’t seem to care and the store is a disaster area. So many items are out of place or dangerously blocking isles just waiting to be put up now. Also, there was some type of brown liquid spilled in several different areas with no signs around them.However, most worrisome is their blantent disregard to any type of Covid safety guidelines or even attempting to follow our city’s mask mandate! There’s a big sign beside the door stating face coverings are required, but many of the customers & also none of the employees had on masks with the exception of one employee that had her mask on below her chin. There’s no markers to encourage social distracting and I felt extremely uncomfortable with the close proximity an employee and customers where to me while waiting in line. I’m afraid I was exposed to Covid considering one individual was even coughing and the infection rate currently puts Athens as an extremely high risk community!I didn’t get the vast majority of the items that I needed, because I was in such a hurry to get out of there! I’m sincerely worried about Covid exposure now. This store’s conditions pose a public safety risk on many levels and are simply unacceptable. I will be contacting the district manager.

Tried to use the Western Union inside, but was told to go somewhere else because my information wasn’t right. The staff seemed either too busy, rude, and/or incompetent to help. Went down the road to Kroger and had zero issues. Seemed like I was being rushed out of the store because I was an inconvenience.

During Covid, I learned to rely on Dollar General for less crowded, less risky shopping for basic needs and school supplies. There is rarely more than 10 cars in the parking lot.

Good store for the qwick " need one or two items to hold u over until u can go to the grocery store or Walmart". Merchandise needs to change up once in a while though and never seems to have enough counter clerk.

My first time at this Dollar General. I found the prices good but was disappointed by the lack of store brand on a couple products. Also the two cashiers were also stocking shelves and I had to wait to be checked out.

Decent prices on little necessities, stocked well, clean store. Lines are sometimes long, but cleaning supplies, and paper products are worth the wait.

This one is one of the cleaner ones the great employees to help you if needed. What I mean by that is if you have a question they will find you an answer no matter what it might be even if it's to another store!!!

The employees here are always Pleasant and knowledgeable. For being such a small store their selection is vast and they keep boxes unloaded - not stacked in the isles.

Probably the cleanest and best managed DG in Athens. Employee turnover is bad so it's a revolving door of who you see working, but other than that, they usually have everything you're looking for, and it's convenient to Barnett Shoals
