DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. Staff is rude and I am 100% sure that the young man working the window on 01/09/24 around 10am took a photo of my debit card and used it to order Door Dash the same night. When I reported it to management, they continued to be rude. Rude, unethical, unprofessionals! BE CAREFUL about sending your debit card through the window to pay for medications. If they did it to me, I KNOW they have done it to others!

Will be changing my daughter pharmacy! Get a text at 255 that her medication is ready. Staff failed to realize that my daughter had a duplicate prescription since JANUARY! So instead of fixing their mistake when my daughter doesn’t even have her daily dosage, I was told I would take 30min and not happening tonight. Then I asked this lady how is yall oversight our problem, she proceeded to say it’s a joint problem and maybe I should’ve gotten a paper prescription. I was like for yall oversight?!! 😂 done with this unprofessional, unprepared pharmacy mind you today is 2/12/24 and they are realizing this today, Spoke with a Howard very professional and may be the reason I do stay at this Pharamacy.

I normally don't give one star reviews my time, but my experience today coupled with other incidences was enough for me to completely change pharmacies and never go back.My allergist called in a prescription for me (last week mind you, took this location a week to fill it), and I went to pick it up today. This pharmacy couldn't even fill an inhaler prescription correctly. The woman tried to tell me that's all they had on file for me but the prescription inhaler they filled, I don't even have an active, refillable prescription for. Then the story was I had never picked up prescriptions at this location before and that's why the correct one wasn't ready (????), when that is simply not true. And then, apparently they didn't have the correct insurance on file, so they couldn't fill it. Easy fix, I have my insurance card. She proceeded to barely try to find my prescription via my insurance, just kept on saying "I only have our system for our location", when I told her I've picked up from a CVS in Watkinsville, she said "well I can't go out of this computer". That was her response when I simply asked if other CVS's had my inhaler (because the final story was they just didn't have it in stock).Giving customers the run around and treating them like they are stupid in any career is absurd, but such behavior in a front-facing, people-oriented job is disgraceful.I just switched my prescriptions to a different pharmacy, and it took their pharmacists all of 10 minutes to verify my insurance and to confirm that my medications are in fact covered by my insurance. And this pharmacy was honest up front about their stock of my medication: they have to order it, but the turn around is 2-3 days. Not over a week and still no inhaler, like this location.This is the only CVS pharmacy I've had truly awful experiences at. Save your time and go to quite literally any other pharmacy in Athens.

I call pharmacies all day as I work in a doctors office. By far the rudest and most unprofessional pharmacist/staff I’ve ever spoken to. Our patients who use this pharmacy have told me horror stories of their experiences with this staff. I tell all of our patients not to use this pharmacy under any circumstance. Extremely unprofessional and poorly ran.

Do not use this pharmacy. They are so slow and so rude. Close way earlier for lunch than advertised (and pulled the curtain on me as I drove up, BEFORE they were supposed to close. It is ridiculous to close for lunch in the healthcare industry anyway! Just hire more employees.

Don’t use the pharmacy. The whole staff is extremely rude and aggressive. You can be the first one there with a prescription called in from the hospital and they will make you wait at least an hour. Force the GoodRx discount on them even if they said they applied it, they didn’t they lied you’re paying full price. Honestly chose any other pharmacy they’re horrible people.

Used to be a great pharmacy but isn’t anymore. I’ve been using this CVS pharmacy for 3 1/2 years and I usually had no problem with them. Until recently… I had a prescription called in on June 25. I didn’t need it right away so I waited a while to get it. On July 10 I went to get it and they said they had it but it had not been filled! So I had to wait for a 3 week old prescription to be filled! Then I went inside to skip the long drive thru line for my son’s prescriptions and I was ignored as the employees helped everyone else except me until I said something after standing there for over 10 minutes. The pharmacist was very rude. The lady who did come help me was nice. Idk what happened to this location. Previously they were relatively quick and would call me anytime there was any issue with insurance or if they had to change the form of medicine but now they don’t even bother to give you the correct sized syringes. I’ll be switching pharmacies.

Really upset that after waiting in my car in line unwell they turned me away from getting a COVID test. There are no signs saying appointment only for testing. There is only one large sign in the drive through saying “COVID testing here.” Can’t believe they would send away a symptomatic person after waiting in line with several cars. And their website doesn’t have any appointments available for several days.I understand working through the pandemic has been difficult but I feel the situation could have been handled much better and pharmacist could have seemed more helpful making sure clients get the care they need

I went inside to drop off a few prescriptions. I was told that they were very busy and they wouldn't be ready for a few hours. The tech told me that I would receive a text when ready. That was around 2pm I never received a text so the next day after work around 6pm I went back in and talked to another tech and that time she couldn't find my prescription in the system. After talking to another colleague she had me come to the drop off counter and my prescription were sitting right next to the computer from the day before never enter. The tech apologized but still took another hour to fill 2 prescriptions. This isn’t the only time I’ve had problems with them filling prescriptions on a timely manner, But forgetting to fill them completely is ridiculous.

If you look through my reviews on Google you will realize I only leave positive ones and I keep silent on negative experiences. However, for public health reasons it is important to me that I warn people to stay away from CVS Oglethorpe. They have been my pharmacy since they opened and they used to be super busy but manage to do a good job. Now NONE of the pharmacy people I knew are there anymore, they seem completely and impossibly overwhelmed. They also have a very busy Covid testing program that they are unable to handle. You will be treated rudely, you will experience mistakes and you do not have to use them. The Health department has free, well organized testing. Go there. For your other needs go to any pharmacy but this one. It is not the people who are now working there's fault, but they are completely overwhelmed and the store is a mess. For your health, do not go here.

This store is fine but I go to the pharmacy to get needles for injecting medicine, abd I always specifically say "I use this needle size to get the medicine out and this one to inject it into my body" and this is the third time they've given me incompatible needles and syringes, and this last time I specifically asked if it was the right tip, the guy said yes, and it absolutely is not. I have to take this medication twice a month now and this incompetence from people who are supposed to know more about medicine than me is incredibly frustrating.

the pharmacists at this location are excellent! they caught interactions with my sons medication that the hospital hadn't, offered honest advice, and helped me out when no one else in town had what we needed. can't say enough good things about them, if I ever see them around town I'm going to buy their lunch!

I went in to get my meds on Oglethorpe and had picked up a couple more items on my way out. I stood in line waiting for the cashier and she ignored me. Finally she told me to use the self check out. I told her I had rather not. She told me since I didn’t have a mask on, she could not wait on me. I had forgotten to put my mask on, but there was plexiglass between she and I . I put my items down and walked out. I have been a customer of that Cvs for years. I was very upset over her attitude. Yes, I should have had a mask on, but she could have handled it a different way. I will not buy anything out in the store again and may just change Pharmacies. Not impressed with customer service anymore. Margaret Jolley
