I shop A LOT of Dollar general stores local and surrounding areas this store is a disappointment by far. From the moment I walked in the store I hear blaring heavy metal music from a radio sitting right at the door on top of a display. No employee in view! The store is poorly stocked and there's unopened boxes down majority of the isles. They have a clearance isle where most items are marked with clearance tag but it's regular price. At checkout the mgmt/key holder is snappy about a item that rung up incorrectly and she goes to check and tells me they have new employees she guessed they hung it in wrong place- all 3 rows/hangers cause she can't always hold their hands. Next my digital coupons do not come off she checks my phn to be sure I have them clipped and when I do she's simply tells me she can't help what the machine does should we glad to refund me those items if I would like her to. Bathrooms were very dirty and as I leave the radio is now loudly playing Christian music.DOLLAR GENERAL FAIL

I left my wallet in the store late last night. When I went this morning the staff was very friendly, and although they were extremely busy getting the shelves stocked and doing inventory they stopped what they were doing to get my wallet out if the safe. I just wanted to say thank you for securing my wallet as it would have been very difficult to get any of my identification or bank cards during the shelter in place and stays of emergency. They are life savers. I just moved to Alto and have found my favorite neighborhood store.

Love Alto DG! Know it like the back of my hand. The employees are awesome. And they actually stock the shelves and don't leave big metal carts of inventory in the way blocking the isles.

A little small but it's a small town. Nice little $1 dollar section. Has a little park right next door.

Poorly run store. I live next door and will start driving to another store. This morning the cashier sees me come in and leaves. I stand at the empty register , walk through the store looking down the isles and no one so she's sitting in the office probably looking at me on the camera. That's twice that's happened at this store with this particular lady so I'm going elsewhere.

Staff was SUPER sweet to me and my boys. Had Christian music playing during our visit, and a lady in the office stopped what she was doing to come out and tell me that my 5 & 6 year old boys melted her heart and made her day to hear them singing about Jesus. 💙❤ What SHE didn't realize lol, is that SHE made OUR day by noticing something that may seem so insignificant to others, but as a mama trying to raise boys in Gods word this day in time, her acknowledgment meant the world to me! 🙏 Also, Lula DG is always outta everything so I drove further to Alto to get my list and thankfully, they had EVERYTHING I needed in stock! Very pleased with my visit.

Went for emergency back up bottle nipples. Had lots to choose from plus cute bottles and clothing. Convienent place when something is needed quickly!

Good store, they started requiring masks 7/20/2020. We were politely asked if we had masks, so I sent my son to the car to retrieve them.

Met up with a gentleman to conduct an online purchase- had to go in for cash and to buy masks. Clean store and friendly personel. Interesting location.

I had bought milk that went bad before the "good to" date. Employee exchanged milk, no questions asked. Great place that stood behind product.

The store usually has what I need but everything is kinda scattered around and maybe it's just me but every time I go there are carts of boxes and boxes blocking the isles.

The prices are at a very good discount for your budget and coupon's are encouraged by the manager . A very good organized and clean shopping discount store.

The best Dollar general store I know of is in maysville it is always so neat the rest of them could take a lesso are so overcrowded.

Sadly, there in no trashcan out side, you have to ask somewhat mean employees for a key to the bathroom, and the manager isn't all that nice either

The store had boxes stacked 6 or so feet high making it extremely difficult to go from isle to isle. Also had boxes stacked in the isle. #crowded
