Love! Love! This place! It is a reefers dream! The corals are healthy, beautiful, amazing! Large selection. The marine fish are stunning. I've never been inside a store like this. It's a different league, entirely. It's worth making a trip to Alpharetta! In my local area there isn't much to choose from. All fish appear healthy. You don't see dead fish floating around/or, fish coated in ich, over crowded tanks. This place has premium grade coral/fish. Their workers are knowledgeable! They know coral care: softies, lps, sps..., placement, light requirements, flow, compatibility, water parameters... They can help with aquascaping ideas, color patterns, designs for reef tank, etc. It's just... unbelievable! I'm thrilled I found this place!

The best around! Beautiful, healthy and well priced selection. The store is always well stocked and pristine. This is the only place I trust, and the fact that all they specialize in is saltwater is a huge plus. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Matt. Thank you!

Visiting reef stores while traveling, Pure Reef was our second stop after a high recommendation from first shop we visited. No doubt one of the most beautiful stores I've seen with great staff, layout, and give selection of corals, fish, and excellent selection of equipment.

I have been going to this store for 10+ years. I got out of the saltwater aquarium hobby for a while but would always stop in to talk with the staff and see what's new. These guys are amazing, they know their stuff they are friendly and listen to your needs for this hobby. This isn't a place you go to looking for a deal you go for top of line items and knowledge. They have been a great help over the past year and its out of the way for me but its worth the trip. I wouldn't go elsewhere in the greater Atlanta area!

They definitely go the extra mile to make you feel at home.When you walk in the store you are almost overwhelmed with how much they have (in a good way) the setups on display in the front are beautiful and show you options you can make a reality.The employees are overall very enthusiastic and will go the extra mile to help you out. 👍 They want the best for your setups and on two (2) different occasions they did not try to upsell me. They care about the quality of your fish and while it's expensive, I highly recommend this fish store. The quality of fish and coral are outstanding.Swing by and see Matt as he is very knowledgeable. Wow! I cannot tell you how incredibly amazing the staff is at this place. I haven't had a salt water tank in 25+ years and decided to start off with a 13 gal tank. The guy who helped me was so patient and really took the time to explain every thing to me and get all my basic needs. The team at this store work nicely together and you can really tell that they really enjoy working there. It's hard to find great customer service these day and this local store definitely ranks high! I'll be back in a week to add some coral and a few fish!

Went in today just to look and got help instantly from a staff member and told him I just started and didn’t know much. He taught me a lot and made me feel confident enough to get some coral and a fish for my tank.Their selection is much nicer than what I’ve seen from other fish stores. Also, very clean and looks professional it makes you not worry about putting something in your tank that may have a disease or something bad. You know when you walk in that these people are experts and take pride in their work.

I can’t begin to say enough great things about this place! The first thing I always notice is how picture perfect the entire store is! Everyone is always friendly and always able to answer any questions that I have immediately and correctly. I trust these guys 100% to give me the best advice! Also very impressed with the wide selection of accessories and livestock! Also says a lot that they walk you to your vehicle once you have made all your purchases! If you haven't been here then you should absolutely come visit! All the staff is knowledgeable and friendly! Everything looks so clean and organized and they have a lot of fish and reef fragments to select from (also a lot of dry goods). Honestly the store looks like if it was brand new even if they have been in business for 13 years. It is really impressive.

I have known George and Angela and many of the staff for thirty years, back when they were in Jonesboro, even before Buckhead. NO ONE knows more about reefs than these folks. Their "alive" guarantee is good, and you can return pieces that do not find a place (you can always get a bigger tank). When I do it will be here.

Pure Reef is by far the best store in the Atlanta area for saltwater fish. All the employees were super friendly and very knowledgeable. They spent lots of time answering all my questions about different fish and corals. They have the biggest and most diverse selection of marine fish and corals in the area. Their tanks are much cleaner and the fish much healthier than the other Atlanta stores.

The staff here is very knowledgeable. They are not in a hurry to sell you things but want to make sure you have a good saltwater experience. This was very helpful for us as new reefers. Starting a new marine ecosystem is a complex undertaking and having friendly, experienced people as part of your team his invaluable. I wrote a similar review for another LFS. We enjoy supporting both. Highly recommended.

Super clean and nice staff. Super over priced. Powder tang cost 3 times as much as my local shop as well as many other fish and corals. If they can get away with it doing it, good for them but people are not dumb. Not good strategy for long term.
