We ordered dog food online and then when we arrived the bag we wanted had ripped. So the employees in the store gave us the same type of food but a slightly bigger bag. It was very nice of them to do so instead of just trying to replace it with something we didn't get. It's a breadth of fresh air to have such considerate customer service.

Aquarium lighting was out employees stated that they couldn't sell any aquatic life do to the lights being down. Then asked for plants and was told to wait so she could help another customer that already had another associate so i got pushed aside for someone interested in getting a reptile very rude Poor service avoid this location!!! Shop the Acworth location.

The aquarium staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Petco has the best selection of plants and the most unique plants. They also have the coolest snails and shrimp in town.

I received an email from Petco which stated I received $20 off $50 or more in the store or online. I went to the Petco in acworth, Georgia and presented my e-mail coupon and was told that the manager said the coupon was fake and could not be used. I ended up purchasing everything and left. The next day I received another email reminding me to use my coupon before it expired on March 11. I decided to see if I could use it online and when I copied the code online it worked. I did not purchase anything online because I had already purchased everything the day before. I just wanted to post this since I felt that the coupon was in fact valid and I was unable to use.

The grooming department made my dogs look like rats! My mom told them not touch their face or head because we want to give them hairstyles and they did we showed them a picture what we want them to look like and they gave us the number 4 and the hair is curly, but they shaved our dogs to the skin. When I first saw them I tried not to cry I can’t look at them they look like mole rats these are supposed to be golden doodles not pink doodles! I am so mad when we confronted them they tried to act like they didn’t know now I have to look at them ugly for 4 weeks! Don’t take your dog or animal here.

Their employees are very kind and helpful. I got a new puppy and she is picky. I purchased a bag of dog food at this location, and my puppy didn’t like it. I tried few things to make her eat, but did not work well. The employee said she understands it and let me return the opened dog food without any hassle.

DO NOT BUY THE BETTA!!! No matter how pretty, they are old fish. You can tell by the size. This is the only store that I have bought multiple betta from and they die within 7 days. I have had betta last me 4 years... unless purchased from here. The staff is nice, store always clean and stocked. Just DO NOT BUY THE BETTA.

I needed a skin antiseptic cream for my kitty and I got it although it was the last one on the shelf. I really like the store and it has most of the things I need for my kitties but I have been buying from Chewy for my food, etc. because I cannot get the ten pound bag of the Instinct dry food I feed them at your store.

I’m not one to complain but it’s a very sad day in the reptile community seeing these animals. Specifically the leopards, cresties, and bearded dragons. There was a bearded dragon hardly breathing. An obvious respiratory infection of some sort. As we asked a sales person (who was very nice) she explained that they take them to the back and call a vet. As she was explaining, a sweet family came up and bought him and they sold them a sick beardie. It just makes me sad that they would do that to the beardie and that family. Sad day.

One there were three young ladies in a circle talking,I came in looking for bags for a self cleaning litter box I had one in my hand, the first thing came out of one of the ladies was no we don't have those, she didn't even know what I was looking for, after I told her , o we have some in the back, long story short, she couldn't find were they moved them, but they definitely wasn't by the LITTER boxes I felt like I wasn't wanted there , like I was trespassing or something, they don't have to worry, I'll never ever, go back in that store again , I had to end up ordering on line, all Petco ,are off my list and I call myself going there early, what a joke. 😲

Those ladies in the Salon are all 10 plus stars. They are not just super kind to our Companion, King German Shepard, Mars, they are kind to us two humans. They always do a great job with our 8.5 year old, 145 pound Companion. Mars is always excited to see them. We hope they all stay. Today's front end person is also always Great. Who are they? Katie, Tray, Delaney, Gesell, Emily. Petco, on the other hand... $$$$. We used to bring Mars to the Salon every three months. Petco just keeps gouging. Now Double $$$. We now bring Mars every 7 or 8 months because of Petco Greed and Gouging.

Please note this review is for the grooming department.The grooming department should be shut down by the health department! Do not bring your dogs here! My little Shih Tzu had gone for a so-called bath and grooming, which was absolutely horrific. This was about three weeks ago.Her paw was bleeding two days ago, and I thought she had stepped on a nail Or something sharp ;((We rushed her to Cedarcrest Animal Hospital, and thank God they fit her in right away🙏🏼Apparently, they did not cut her dewclaws,Meaning, they didn't cut all of her nails, and the nail had grown into her paw. The doctor did a procedure to remove the embedded nail, which was so very painful because it had infected her paw so badly.Amanda, the manager of the grooming department the so-called "groomer" reiterated that she cut my Shih Tzu's nails!Liar!!!!I wish the health department would close them down! They are horrible people and they do not know what they're doing, and they should not be allowed to have scissors near an animal! Please be aware and do not bring your loving pets to this so-called grooming salon!!!Keep your pets far away from this hole in the wall and Amanda!!!!!

I bought fish from petsmart in cartersville a couple of times. They died. This is my second trip to petco in acworth. The fish they sell are hardy and healthy. I have 32 fish in the 75 gallon, all from them. Spend the gas Cartersville. The ladies that run this place are very helpful. Not kids. I like this place.

Jennifer with dog training helped my doggie Sugar become AKC good citizen certified. I highly recommend her and Petco! I wish I had done this sooner. Sugar and myself are trained so much better than when we first started. We can now walk passed other dogs and she is well mannered. If I ever need to have another dog trained I would definitely see Jennifer again!!

Took my dog to be groomed on June 5th!! Was told she did an Alligator roll! Blamed her for not being able to groom her although my opinion it had to be the groomer who apparently didn't take time with her..called me not even 5 minutes after I left and told me they couldn't groom her. She has been groomed for 4 years and I have always had good reports by how great she was...I have never been so unhappy after getting a call to come back to get her..wasted trip, took me an hour to get there for nothing...just because someone there doesn't have patience...took her straight to another since they refused and they also said she did great...so my advice is u need to be checked up on your groomers...I have spread the word to everyone I know

This store is neglecting their leopard geckos. They all have stuck shed and look very dehydrated and on deaths door! For a store that says they care about animals, this is not showing it! I suggest someone train the employees of this store how to property care for the animals in their care. This is abuse!
