I been coming here for months because my dog needs specific specialty food. I came in today dressed nicely, with my 5 year old child and I have a nice bag. They apparently have a shoplifting problem that has developed so their solution is to now treat all their customers like a criminal. They take your bag away from you when you come in and make you leave it at the door. They don’t even ask nicely they demand it rudely. Then they have a rude condescending attitude the whole time you are in the store. They said they are going to be treating all customers like that because they don’t know who is stealing and they don’t want to be accused of discrimination. I came here to support a small local business but if this is how they treat customers I will order my dog food online. Tragic that the manager has made such poor business decisions to demand her associates act this way towards customers. This is not the solution to their problems.

I'm not sure if they have had some shoplifting problems, but the atmosphere today was quite uncomfortable. My husband always goes there to buy stuff for our dogs and quickly spent $79 today. The donated food was $5. I overheard one of the ladies who worked there say, “They look suspicious. “ Not sure if she was referring to us as we were not dressing up casually, but regardless of whoever the comment was for, you get the sense all eyes are on you, and they are constantly watching you. We will keep going and donating for either dogs or cats, but please come up with some solutions as it makes people feel uncomfortable; otherwise, the store will lose clients.

Just got my beautiful cat today Bubbles from Petsupermarket Zephyrhills location. So excited and he's settling in really well, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to getting another cat from this location soon. Highly recommend this location.

Stood at the back of the store being ignored. I walked up front and asked if someone was working the back (fish section) someone said "yes, she's heading back there now". I'm walking back and the woman heading back to help me says frustratedly "we don't have people working back there full time - what do you need". I replied it's for my daughter who's waiting back there and that I'm not sure. She then let me know how busy she was. She asks my daughter what she wants - she replies that she's looking for shrimp. The employee was clearly very bothered by the request. Huffed into the door where the shrimp are located, handed my daughter a bag of underwhelmingly small shrimp. Long story short. The young man at the counter was the only redeeming quality. Products are small and way over priced and the woman w the long gray hair should consider employment outside of customer service.

They had what I needed but that day I had to go over there to return a cage with tubes because they were too small for my hamster which was not specified on the packaging that It was meant for smaller hamster breeds, and instead of getting the credit back the lady took me to the back of the store to make me get something else when they knew when I bought it the other day that it would be too small for the hamster I had bought there previously, the aquarium I had also gotten previously didn't come with a lid nor was I warned they would need one as I'd never had one before. Tho gotta admit this hamster cage I got there this time is awesome with all the features it's got

We went into the store today. The smell was horrible. We looked at the tarantulas. The Curly Hair they have in with a snake. The Tarantula has kicked off all their back hairs, which means that it is stressed. I get that you need space but you shouldn't be putting predators together.

We bought 2 parakeets here.. I can’t say enough about the employees they were so helpful in picking out the birds as well as answering any of my questions… I do recommend further research in care for anything you get just to me more knowledgeable. But hands down very nice people and place to shop.. thank you

Excellent selection of products, they have a little bit of everything. The staff is friendly and they enjoy talking all things pets. If you need crickets, they usually have a decent supply and get deliveries on Thursdays.

Unlike most pet stores I've been to, their fish seem to be well taken care of. Most of the bettas, while still in small containers, seemed to be in better health than most. Staff were also kind.

They don't quarantine the fish they sell, bought a $50 koi betta no problems, bought some loaches now betta has ich only bought from here, then employee was like we are one store that hasn't had it. Okay well I only buy from you guys so where it comes from is supplier, do your job quarantine your fish and treat of needed before you sell, don't buy snails they all die. Most are dead in displays, so over this stores lack of care for the animals in the shop

My favorite go to place for my pets needs. From when I had painted turtles fetching them fish, to my snake "Camo" who loved the rats! lolMy pitbull Scooby gets all his healthy snacks and main course here. He's living a very healthy life thanks to Pet Supermarket! Occasionally (weekly) I'll pick up a toy for him here because he's spoiled. 😋They're never out of stock and have a vast selection of food, snacks and toys. Great place for pet owners. Especially for mans best friend.

Stole my money. Bought a snail just before closing got home and the snail was floating dead already. Put it back in the bag and just want to exchange it the next morning but they told me No. Even with receipt and a picture of it dead from the previous night an hr after purchase, The manager said sorry can't help you. Never getting my money again..

Impulse buying. Some people will pay anything to prove how much they love their pets.Unbelievable high prices. But a fantastic variety of anything you can think of to please a pet owner. Most pets are happy with a stick or an old tennis ballHowever for pet parents who want to showcase their extravagant love for their pets, this is the place to go.

Staff not helpful. The associates gather around counter talking and on phones. When asking for help for fish i wanted to purchase they all looked at each other. I left without fish and went to thier completion where i was greeted with a smile and helpful staff. Bought my fish there. Will never go back

I would like to comment on a specific customer service experience recently in this store. A young man by the name of “Cade” is exactly the type of person that is too often hard to find these days. He treated me with respect and kindness. He was very knowledgeable and most importantly he seemed as though he actually enjoyed his job and took pride in his work. I commented on a particular display and stated that I really liked it and I saw a pleased look cross his face. He had done the display but was humbled. I was just really impressed with this young man’s attitude. Rare!!

Almost always impressed by the cashiers. I don't like that they have animals for sale. (Some are rescues to be adopted, I'm ok with that part). Good selection of a range of quality foods. Have never been approached with an offer of help, even when I was walking from aisle to aisle deliberating over ingredients in dog food. Also, I buy the biggest bag of dog food I can get, and have stood in line before for quite a while with one on my shoulder without anyone offering to help or mentioning that I could set it down on another counter I feel like their customer service on the floor is not great but whoever is at the cash register is generally really really nice.

As of right now with all of my visits I have never had a bad experience here. I have a crested gecko, 3 cats (one of which was adopted from here) and a new puppy and I pop in a few times a month and they always have items I am seeking. Prices seem comparable to other let shops. The staff has never been an issue for me either
