I’d give them zero stars if that was an option. I purchased four aquarium plants on Sunday. I realized I had accidentally grabbed two plants that are basically hydroponic and two that were for inside an aquarium. I attempted to return the two for an even exchange and they tried to make me pay for one as I had purchased them through a “buy 3, get one free” deal (that was still ongoing). So when I returned the two plants, one was the “free” one and one was the full price one. In order to walk back out with two plants I could actually use in my aquarium, I’d need to purchase the second plant-that I had already paid for yesterday. I’ve heard of girl math, but whoa-Petco Math is next level. Don’t go here if you don’t want to be scammed!

The Petco in Yulee Florida is a great place. All the employees are knowledgeable friendly and helpful. The grooming staff are wonderful and respectful of their charges. My pet can be difficult to groom but he is handled with respect a firm hand when needed and love. I was very impressed with Sammy’s approach with Bash. Will definitely request her again.

Excellent store that is immaculate and well organized. Ample shared parking in front of the building and the staff is professional, courteous, and able to answer questions about the products that they carry when needed.

Tayler is amazing! When I first started taking Lily as a puppy to trim her nails she was always nervous. Now she just walks right in. We have been going to her for a few years now. I always make her appointments with Tayler. She genuinely cares about Lily and always leaves with a cute bandana. She also educated me on the vital care rewards program early on and helped me save a lot of $. Thank you Tayler!

Took my dog in for a scheduled bath. The manager was beyond rude (and I'm being kind) refused to bathe my dog because she had a few knots and proceeded to tell me they'd have to shave her down and that no other groomer around would touch her. He also refused to give me back the paperwork that I had already signed, thinking she was, in fact, getting groomed because it was their 'property' and refused to shred the paperwork as well.I had been bringing my other dog in for the past 6 years. I will NEVER set foot in that establishment again.I left in tears.

Seem to change staff often. The amount of knowledgeable staff has seemed to decrease as of late. The aquarium section has been sparsely stocked. Good selection of products for all kinds of animals. Dog and cat food selection is usually limited to premium brands.

I love this store because they have my preferred pet food. When I checked out during this visit, I bought 2 large ceramic cat bowls, and the young man asked if I needed a bag for anything. I spent $100. When I said I only needed bags for the ceramic bowls to protect them, he advised they were charging for bags now. 🤷‍♂️. I can't remember the amount, either 1 cent or 10. Either way, that is unexpected, and I will not pay. I will remember to take my reusable bags in next time. Be advised.

Do NOT bring your dog to be groomed here. Our dog has been on a recurring schedule for a bath and nail trim. For reference, she is a black lab.When we arrived to drop Katie off today, I could tell all the groomers were laughing and having a good time. And it is good to have a healthy working environment, but you also have to pay attention. This lead to them mixing my dog up and entirely shaving her. It looks absolutely HORRIBLE. At first I was understanding that accidents happen, but the shaving doesn’t even look good! (Picture for reference)We will never be returning.

I've taken my dog here before with no issues. I think the prices are a little high for the quality of service, but I didn't mind until yesterday. The particular groomer (I won't say her name) was pretty unfriendly to me and not only was my dog still damp when I picked him up, but she barely trimmed his long fur (I paid for a haircut) but she did shave his inner ear fur way to close to his skin and his ears have been red and irritated ever since. He won't stop shaking his head and I'm hoping I don't have to make a trip to the vet for this. I won't be coming back. I even tipped the groomer which I regret.

Setting up a new marine tank. Petco has a pretty limited availability when it comes to marine fish but their service associates were great! They took the time to talk with me about several considerations that I had when setting up the tank (72 gal). I left with a few items and all of my questions answered. I just wish they carried more in terms of marine fish selection!

I made an appointment for vaccinations for my two dogs. I made the arrangement online as well as called and spoke to a customer service rep to give them all the information about our pets. When we arrived we were told that our older dog couldn't get the vaccinations I was told they offered because of his age. They offered for us to get one shot and come back in 4-5 weeks. We needed these vaccinations for doggy day care and could not wait that long. There was no effort made to contact the full service Petco to see if they could take us instead. I was told we had to go back online and check. Because it was a Sunday most vets were closed. We finally found an emergency vet in Jacksonville and was able to get all their vaccinations there no problem at all. It is their loss because we will not be back to Petco after this.

Personnel was veryyy nice, very courteous and friendly, I was able to schedule her the same day as there isnt any appts available for the next 4 weeks and I took her there earlier. Abby got a great haircut, really love to see they way she looks, fresh for the hot summer. Thank you for the great job!

I stopped by the Petco in Yulee Florida to purchase food & treats for my Welsh Terrier. I had a great experience, until I arrived at the checkout counter! After paying for my items I reached for a plastic bag to place my items in. As I did I was informed that a bag would be $.10 cents! WI stood there in complete disbelief that Petco would have the poor taste to charge a fee for a bag, especially since I just purchased products from your store. I refused the bag & struggled to shove several items into my purse. While also carrying a bag of dog food. I’d much rather Petco raise their prices than to feel offended by being asked to pay a dime for a bag. I mean we are probably talking about a half a cent when spread out amongst every customer. See how petty this is?I definitely don’t plan to continue to shop at Petco! Instead I will shop at a store where I feel appreciated as a customer. I find this super offensive. Sure, I’m only one customer but I’m sure I’m not the only customer to feel this way…..

Disappointed I had to actually provide a 1 star because I wouldn't give them any. I booked my dogs grooming weeks prior to the date scheduled and I get a call and hour prior to the appt time stating the groomer would not be able to accommodate because 3:30 was too late of a time to groom a 15-20 lbs puppy. Please keep in mind that this was the time provided on their own website and was available for the necessary services. Spoke to the manager and he was very "matter of fact" about it. Didn't care that I was frustrated. Had they called me with sufficient time, I could have taken my puppy to another groomer and it wouldn't have caused me so much of an inconvenience. This was handled so unprofessional and would not recommend their grooming to my worst enemy. This has put such a bad taste in my mouth that I refuse to even shop at this Petco ever again. Their store isn't that clean either!

We love this Petco!! We love bringing Nugget here, he gets so happy to see everyone who works there, go to puppy play time, and take his training class with Brianna (who is amazing!). I highly recommend this place and so does Nugget!

Chrissy was fantastic in grooming. Very caring, very understanding of a dog that is super hyperactive and quite frankly a bit much. She did a phenomenal job trimming & grooming my standard Australian Shepherd. I highly recommend her and will be bringing my Aussie and my border collie back to them. Again, Chrissy was great!

This place I used back in Oct 2022 for two dogs both small and friendly. The service was mediocre and the girl at the desk was rude short with me presumably because we were different from one another. However the person told me that our dog's information was put in the computer and it would be updated next time we came in. We booked another appointment in December but the appointment was cancelled because the groomer went home sick. So we then booked another appointment but only one since they only had availability for dog. Upon my arrival I waited for about 10 minutes for someone who acted overwhelmed at the counter. Dhe looked up my dog's information and the current information we had was not in. She tried calling our vet but then just said I could not have the appointment since I didn't have the information they needed. Between the rudeness and misinformation and substandard grooming I received at this place I told them I would bot be coming back and I encourage other to stay away from this place until they get a better attitude towards customers. I can deal with rudeness but incompetence is red flag for me. I enthusiastically DO NOT recommend PETCO for grooming of any kind until they get their act together.

Made an appointment at this location for grooming. We got there when we was supposed too, the lady at the counter was very nice but the grooming area was dirty and disgusting. It smell horrible in there. Our grooming appointment was at 8 am I believe we were the first ones. For the store to look like that? Seriously? That makes me think that the closing employees didn’t do they job and properly clean and sanitize the grooming area. Dog hair everywhere from the door to the counter. My dog came back home with fleas and rushes on her private area. We took her to the vet and they told us is from the groomer. The most awful experience ever. We will NEVER be back at this location. Do better!!!!!!!!
