I wish they had more availability for product as in fishing but that does not discredit the great and amazing service. I always receive always willing to help. I was sold a kit for an impeller while being told the housing i brought in was fine. The housing was not fine and needed to be replaced so we go back to get the housing replaced and they told me I couldn't return the old kit and tried to sell me a complete kit for 65 on top of what I'd already spent. I don't mind spending money on what I need but I don't like to feel like I'm being tricked into spending more than I need to. Also the same complete kit was on Amazon for 28 dollars with next day delivery.

I went in to the Winter Haven store yesterday and was greeted right away by the friendly associate at the counter. I explained that I was picking up my New boat next week and needed some final items. He was very knowledgeable on the products, offered reading material to insure I was good to go, and even showed me how to save a few dollars. It was a very refreshing experience to walk into a retail store with that kind of service.

Outstanding customer service !! Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed and the staff answered all of my questions with experienced answers. ( Finding the right fishing tackle for the nearby lakes ). I will definitely be back to update all of my outdoor sporting needs.

Knowledge of salespeople is very minimal. Store isn't stocked well and watch out if paying with cash. You won't get it back if you buy something that needs to be returned. Won't get my business again.

Odd as this sounds, they never have anything I need, or even if they can get it, it has to be ordered. Well, I can order stuff myself....for the 2ond time I wanted a radio, they were out. I have a set of there speakers, lost a knob, went in to get a replacement, no longer available. Frustrating. Needed fasteners for a seat I have, not available. Hard for me to give em much of a positive rating.

I love this place! I don't think the other reviewers of this store are aware of West Marine's price match policy. They even price matched a Garmin GPS that was $100.00 cheaper on Amazon for me with no problem what so ever!

Great service but horrible prices. Bought a quart of primer that I paid 50 for and then found it on Amazon for 20. While it is convenient to drive and pick up what I need I don't really feel like I should get taxed more than double for that convenience. I would recommend shopping on Amazon if you need marine stuff rather than paying the over inflated prices in the store.

Was shopping for a chartplotter and Shawn went over different options and was very knowledgeable he gave me his full attention explaining my options and showing and demonstrating hands on how it works, I will be making my purchase here and recommend others do the same.

Came in today and waited 10 mins for an employee to surface. We walked around the store looking for someone and no one was to be found. Finally he came in front door to help us. Smoke break....wow some customer service. 2nd person was apparently there and came out 10 mins after that from back.

If zero was an option I would've given it for the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I came in today to get some information about a kayak and wanted to order one. There were 2 associates at the front neither one acknowledged me when i walked in, I stood by the kayaks for about 15 minutes looking around and never once did either one of them ask me if I needed any help, they were too busy b.s.ing with eachother. I would never spend my money in a store where the customer doesnt matter, obviously theyre Too busy for me or my money! No wonder there wasn't a single customer in there. Take my advice go somewhere else!

The Winter Haven Fl location seems to be nothing more than an accessory store. They do not seem to have any Mercury parts in stock, Everything I have needed for what is routine maintenance, they haven't had.

Everything you need for boating and good quality stuff. When all you need to do is get on the water but need a part for the boat, stop at West Marine. Some things may cost a little bit more but the service here is great.

Showed up to shop on a Sunday morning at 1030. Store is closed, parking lot full of people hours posted on door 10 to 5 on Sundays. Oh well not getting my business anymore.

I wish stores would update there store hours to the actual hours they are open. Drove 45 minutes to store to find out they closed 2 hours before listed times on google and there website.
