This is the worst dollar general I've been too. Never can find what u want crates everywhere it's always a mess. There was rice on the floor I pulled my back because I slipped on the rice. Shelves empty because stuff are still in the carts to be put on shelves .

I have found that they have many different items from food to clothes. Health and beauty. The store is clean and the employees are very helpful and always make you feel welcome

Since they have revamped the layout, it is much easier to shop and find things. It does seem there is a lot of turnover in employees. For now, this is a great thing. All the employees I have encountered have been Very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Usually music will be playing as they stick shelves and they seem to enjoy what they have to do with the extra of music and each other. The only issue I have run into has been they run out of stock quickly and it takes time to refill shelves. We usually shop there weekly for basic items and, again, a friendly helpful employee goes a long way....

Beware of "supposedly computer inputted prices". As DG becomes more intense in its advertising, people become more aware of what this store offers. I found several items that were interesting and reasonably priced. I went to this store to pick up the advertised 12 pack sodas at 3 for $12. Before I had my items scanned, I made sure to the cashier of the sale price. Long story short, I had to go back to straighten out the overcharge. While the cashier refunded to me the overcharge, claiming the computer scan did not work properly, I have now a suspicion that the computer was right all along: that it was set up that way. It was built on the premise that consumers seldom check their receipts and BELIEVE scanners are accurate. This reminds me of the time two known tv news stations made an investigation of two big box stores' price scanners. The result was that several and many items advertised on sale still rang at the higher price. It was not conclusive whether the store management knew this or the ploy was deliberate. So, shoppers, look at your receipts before leaving the check out line.

We shop at this location once to twice most every week. They generally have what you need. There advertisements are generally accurate however they have problems with inventory on sale items. Employees seem to always have a good attitude and are friendly and helpful. By the way it is a dollar store Betty B. Needs to cut these folks a break!

There is Stuff in the middle of the isles get even move into the store bumbing into stuff almost hurt myself stuff Is cramped into the isles plus no one ever works here only one person at register long lines, my mother almost tripped over her self and fell 3 times trying to get through and she is handicap as well she would have flied a law suit this is just unacceptable behavior at all they need to do better in the isles and better in the store otherwise I will not be shopping here again it is like a hood store unbelievable

I shop here all the time the associates are helpful and friendly. They have the best prices if you want to save money on your every day items and they have a lot of different stock to choose from. I wouldn't shop anywhere else for my everyday things.

Great quality items for low prices! I go there to get my school supplies every year and often for other things I need around the house. The are decently organized and always have the items I need in stock. Great place.

The store is very nasty, also the bathroom was disgusting there was urine on the wall and feces on the edge of the toilet. The backroom is very dirty, also they have products all over the walls, toys we're in the clothes area everywhere and the new manager is very rude, she said I could not grab a certain item and that I would have to leave the store if I kept it up. And last of all she said I could not look at the cellphones, cause I was suspicious.

Rant: credit card chip reader at Dollar General on SR 50.Popped in for a few quick items. The chip reader wasn't working so the clerk tells me to use the chip twice and them to swipe the magnetic stripe. Transaction was declined by my bank (Chase). Tried a different card, also a Chase Visa (different account), had to do the failed chip reader thing twice before the magnetic stripe. Again denied. I use both of these cards daily so I'm pretty certain it isn't the chips.Called Chase while standing there. They inform me it is a form of fraud protection for my accounts. They asked me several questions to verify my identity then told me that the store needs to replace their chip reader.So I'm standing there, phone to ear, waiting for the cashier to rering the order. He proceeds to let several other customers check out. I finally spoke up and said "when are you going to rering this?" He said "well, you still had the phone to your ear." I said "yes, so they can override your faulty chip reader and approve the transaction." I had previously told him I was calling my bank to verify that the cards were good.A 5 minute trip became at 30 minute trip. I won't shop there again. The $4 I saved wasn't worth the 25 minutes I wasted.Advice to others: don't use a Chase Visa at Dollar General. Perhaps a nasty-gram to Dollar General Corporate. #dollargeneralThe icing on the cake: the cashier said the chip reader worked on the other register. So why then is he making everyone with a chip card go through the hassle of scanning the chip twice before swiping the magnetic stripe?Yes, others had their transactions approved after the two time chip thing then using the magnetic stripe. I'm grateful my bank has such good fraud protection. I seriously question their banks' fraud protection.

Unfortunately it's a very old store and not that clean. I always have issues with coupons cuz the registers are so old they won't scan sometimes the deals go through sometimes they don't ..tonight I went and they rang up the same items 6 times and after coupons there were different totals in the end that I owed and they couldn't figure out why...half the time they don't have stuff in stock so the store I don't care for but the people are very nice

I was in the store yesterday since they closed and rearranged the store my complaint is why in the world didn't they clean the floors ??? I would be frightened for anything to drop on the nasty filthy floors that look as though they have never been cleaned. Other than that the employees are no ce and friendly but please clean the nasty floors.

There is a manager there named shelly . I went and bought a vanilla visa to put 240.00 shelly took my 240.00 in the register but only put 220.00 in the register . i called my card and it had 215.00 dollars on there so she stole 20 dollars from me when i called the cops to report the missing 20 dollars she had me tresspassed from the store i called corporate also to file a complaint. Please dont let her rob you like she did me.

Great place. I sometimes take advantage of the $5 coupon on Saturdays. And I also take advantage of the coupons for detergent and fabric softener. As well sales on many different items. Also, TG Lee milk price is always the same.

This is not a very clean store. The isles are almost always cluttered. The shelves are usually messy. The check out lines are always too long to be a quick stop store.

Had to wait line for 30mins.handed cashier $20. Bill is $9.32 gave me back 0.68cts in change.He was put on notice andtransactions was corrected besides this,I waited on line 20 minutes before i was cash-in.its a horrible situation.

Its messy, you have to walk to the whole store to find something the ladies there supposed to help it seems like they don't like they don't want to be there I'm disabled in one leg and trying to get out of that store with the card full of stuff and they won't even hold the door for you. Nor offer any help . That was my experience three times that I went.👎👎👎

They are my go to but are just always out of a lot of things and the manager never helps with the line. For the most part I go here for the prices and because its really convenient and the coupons work out so well.

The new manager (the blonde lady) is by far the friendliest, nicest and most professional manager this dollar general has ever had. The other staff is questionable at best.

Standard dollar general just has seen better days. Its a little old and not as tidy as the newer ones. Same deals and products as the nicer stores just less organized.

"The Dollar General Store Brand" of Destin is great.It has the same active ingredient.Best thing about this is that it is two dollars cheaper.A restroom is most important place just.about.at any bussiness. It can tell you alot about the person running it?Maybe Maybe not....i tell ya it is absolutely disgusting in there!How embarrassing would it be to work here!When u use the bathroom u need a key .One must ask for it up front from a cashier.Which means youve got to look the customer in their face...knowing the your bathroom stinks , knowing how utterly discusting it is..I wouldnt be able to handle the embarrassment Let alone how can you work here 8 hours a day using the bathroom?I can understand busy day ,lack of employees.Though theres no reason for that bathroom to have the appearance of not ever being cleaned thouroully.All I am saying is someone get this place looking and smelling clean deodorized and organized..It does reflect you.The store is a wreck...let me work in here as your assitant manager .I promise you that this place will be looking organized and stocked.The place will be clean ,the bathroom will not ever look like that again.Each employee does their part.Clean thr bathroom stock the bathroom before after each shift!They must sign the paper and follow each and every day.Good luck
