We've used Sumter County Animal Hospital since we moved to Wildwood. We have always been happy with them. And that just went over the top with their recent care of our small dog who suffered a broken jaw and many wounds. Karla and her staff are wonderful. Caring, competent.

Our dog Rosie was diagnosed with a torn tendon. There were no surgeons in my area to take her to so I was able to find Sumter County Animal Hospital who has a surgeon for animals who comes in periodically from Gainesville which is about a 2-hour drive away from my home. They arrange for her surgery in Wildwood facility of which has been a success with your continued recovery. Extremely professional and efficient as well as staff very courteous and helpful especially in helping me file pet insurance claims which in itself was an invaluable service. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital and Dr Brown and her staff for any of your Veterinary needs. Thank you so much for your fantastic service and help.

The staff is excellent With my fur babies!I Definitely recommending this Veterinarian office to help care for your fur babies!🐾 my three month old puppy contacted kennel cough. As I have moved a lot I have had many vet hospitals for my dogs and cats . I have had 2 which were not good here in the Villages . I found by word of mouth . Sumter Animal Hospital is fabulous . I knew I found the perfect professional veterinarian just walking in . Everyone was so friendly and helpful and concerned. My cat had a serious problem and they saw me right away and worked on her . The Doctor turned her problems around and called me for weeks to be sure she was doing OK . I give all the staff an A+++ . I am so grateful I found them .

We have had very good care by Dr Brown and her staff. Peaches did poorly under the care of other vets. We almost lost her a few years ago. Thats when we heard about Sumter County Animal Hospital.

So happy I found Sumter County animal hospital. Doctor Brown and her staff are wonderful. They take their time with each patient and answer all your questions. Our dog Butters had surgery and they called the next day to make sure he was doing well and again answered all my questions. Very compassionate office.

My first visit today was absolutely wonderful! Found the front end staff to be so friendly and welcoming! The tech, Stephanie was absolutely a delight to deal with. She made my dog Higgins feel so calm and comfortable. I was so impressed with Dr. Brown and all her advice about my what was best for my guy to clear up his issues. I would highly recommend this vet clinic!

I recently moved here from another state and needed to find a new veterinarian. Sumter County Animal hospital is a great place to take your pet. Such a caring and compassionate staff as well as the veterinarian. Quite pleased with my visit and highly recommend!!

This was my first and last visit to the Sumter County Animal Hospital.Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about the place. My dog was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Our veterinarian in New York recommended blood and urine tests every 6 months. We stayed in the Villages for 6 months and I made an appointment with Dr. David Kolins. The doctor took blood, urine and stool for analysis. All this time Dr. Kolins only talked about himself and the rabies vaccine, he never looked at the health report from our regular veterinarian.I waited for the test results for a whole month, tried to call, but to no avail. I had to go to another vet in The Villages. The Villages vet did all the necessary tests and it turned out that we had lost valuable time. The kidneys practically stopped functioning. When The Villages vet asked for test results from Sumter County Animal Hospital, it turned out that no tests had been done, they simply forgot about my dog. The new vet did everything he could, but it was too late. My fur baby died. I will never set foot in that clinic, and I will never give them a good recommendation. Let it remain on their conscience.

Dr Karla Brown and her staff have been absolutely wonderful. I recently have had to put 2 dogs to sleep. One dog had congestive heart failure for almost 2 years and the other was very old, very senile and now in pain. They were wonderful. Very compassionate and very caring. Now they are taking care of my new puppy . . . what would life be without a fur baby !!
