Fantastic pet store; well managed! They have a great variety of pets and accessories Matt did a wonderful job assisting us while simultaneously running the store. He was knowledgeable and patient helping us pick out a hamster and supplies.

Ordered a 20lb bag of Kaytee Exact Large Parrot diet online and opened the box to a disgusting item filled with bugs. Bag has a Jan 31, 2024 expiration date so that wasn't the problem. How someone put this into a box to ship without noticing the bugs crawling all over it is beyond me.

The groom was good but the nails weren’t properly trimmed. When I phoned to complain, I was told that « it has been 10 days and we are no longer responsible ». I find that comment unacceptable. My dog has been groomed many times before and the nails were never sharp, even after two months.Given the price of the groom ($90+ and $10 tip), I will no longer be using your services.

I have taken all the puppy and dog training classes offered with Barbara Sweet at the Wellington FL location. Barbara is fabulous and I contribute she is why I have a wonderful trained dog that I can take anywhere with me. I recommend her dog training classes to anyone who has a dog!

I needed a bag of Sofresh 40 lb bag of litter, I tried to do curb side but the website wouldn’t allow me. So I went in and was glad to get in and out quickly

Been bringing my Maltese for grooming here for years and today they did not accept my dog because I did not bring a leash? And it’s their store policy? I have never brought my dog here with a leash because she gets very nervous and I prefer to hold her. They didn’t even try to make it right, I won’t be returning to PETCO for anything ever again.

Long story- another petstore ruined our shipments twice! So i called petco- They had a similar item. that night the tank broke- but Petco had one !! A perfect acrylic tankl! Just like ours! We went and got it!! My online order never got to store (why?) but they had it and adjusted my bill-great guys! They even had tank set up for me. They know fish too!! Fish and holiday saved- this tank even better!

I love the ease of ordering online and picking up in the store, especially the discount given when doing so. It encourages me to continue shopping at Petco! They always have what I need in stock, and I love the rewards and benefits.

On 10/11/23 I took my pet in for grooming and received the best service ever from the two females working today at 3:00! I also had an exchange I needed to do on a crate that I had purchased back in June well before I received my new pet Frenche not knowing how fast he would grow out of the size crate I had purchased. The associate handling my transaction was extremely professional and helpful by calling for manager assistance and was told yes over the phone that he could process the exchange and I pay the difference which was great. I selected the large size crate and once I reached the counter to process the transaction I was told the exchange could not be done due to being one month passed the return policy which I understand, however the small crate I wanted to exchange for the large and to pay the difference was new and in good condition, just too small for my pet. I ask for a manager and this is where the service went down hill after receiving such great service from the groomers and the cashier. The manager walked up, did not acknowledge until I said hello, she approached the cashier asking “what’s up” I in a nice manner and tone told her the situation and she just said “No can’t be done and walked away, I then ask if there was anyone else that she could call and again the answer was “No”This so call manager was not at all engaged with her customer, nor showed or had any desire to to save me to keep me coming back.I did leave my pet at the groomers because of their professionalism and I also went ahead and purchased the large size crate because of the cashiers professionalism I’ve been in retail management over 43 years between Macy’s and Home Depot running a multi million dollar business and have never seen managers behave the way I saw today.

Disappointing. Very. Short staffed and the "can't find anyone to work" is a sad excuse, especially when staff is up front talking to each other.To top it off, my wife had a hamster die a cpl days before, (yes, amazingly, she was very attached). I have to note, it was not from this store though. I wanted to get her another and took her to look at the one we ended up buying at this Petco. The one we wanted looked lethargic and the guy working (he was a credit to this store, great guy) agreed that it was best not to get that one, so we bought another. It acted odd once in a while, would not settle down and was very erratic. I called and they suggested it was because it was a new environment, The next day, she would curl up, upside down and was very nervous....for 2 more days. This afternoon she was dead. It was only 12 days after we got her.Not a lot that can be done about it now, but I should have gone with my gut on this one. Maybe it's just this Petco, but regardless, save yourself the trouble and heartache. Go somewhere else.I started not to write a negative review, until I was told by friends that they've had similar experiences.Out of curiosity, I decided to go by the Petco on Okeechobee Blvd in WPB. to see if there animals looked healthier. Nope! In fact worse. Maybe its their supplier? But find another place!!

Love this place they helped me a lot. You can adopt kittens here as well. Find cages for small and big animals. Bedding, food, toys, treats, etc. Definitely recommend

Bought a saltwater fish, died after three days, no refund not even a credit towards something else. Was told after there is no guarantee on saltwater fish.

Well stocked... Just wish they had some more natural and holistic food choices for cats & dogs.Update 1/25/22 Not really well stocked anymore…. Hard to buy food when it isn’t there. Only buying cat food at this time, not sure about the dog food side. That may be totally fine.Update 4/8/24 store still lacks enough stock arc least for cat food, especially wet or canned cat foods.

Grooming department needs to develop their skills as groomers. In life and business we hire experts to take care of needs. Twice that I’ve had to pick up my dog because his hair was too matted for your taste

We used to shop here for all our pets, but started shopping at a main street pet store with better pricing and an excellent assortment of quality products. Recently, my wife and I spent an afternoon at this Petco store volunteering for an adoption event held by a local shelter. We were surprised how the store has changed, for the better. The customer service was excellent and the quality of foods offered has improved. This Petco store has now become another shopping option.

No, take your pets to this place, the customer service is terrible. I imagine when they are taking care of our pets, Emmy, the one who says she is a manager, gives the worst service on three occasions, the same thing has happened and she is Latina, but she also discriminates against Latinos and It doesn't let you talk, it cuts off your calls, it's very disrespectful. I talked to several people and they were all managers. These places should be the opposite to have peace of mind and be able to leave our pets while they do some service. I think they should change jobs.

I’m not one to post reviews but, I bought 10 fish and 2 died in the bag. I floated the bag to remove the other 8 fish. Duckweed got into the bag while I was scooping the fish out to put them into my tank. I was back to the store within an hour with the dead fish, time stamped receipt, and a video of them floating dead in the bag. She told me I needed a water sample which i wasn’t told before hand and I live 20 mins away. I didn’t appreciate her questioning me over everything when I had not even bought the fish an hour ago and gave video of them dead in the bag with the other alive fish. She also told me next time to bring all the fish back because when they die they release toxins. Yes I know the fish release toxins aka ammonia when they die, that’s why I got the Alive ones out of the bag to get them out of toxic water, so her logic is flawed. I’ve been in the hobby for many years and I didn’t appreciate her condescending attitude when she wasn’t even very knowledgeable. They sold me weak fish and she even said that those are weak fish and as she was replacing them one started floating upside down. I appreciate her doing the exchange however she could have done without the attitude. I could tell she didn’t want to help. The other girl who works there though with curly black hair is nice and majority of the other employees are very helpful.

Staff is helpful/knowledgeable, customer service is on point, store is clean, & animals are well taken care of. Multiple positive experiences at this location. Better than any of the other big (chain) pet stores I've been to in this area. I'm sure if they are ever understocked, as another review mentioned, it's because of something that's out of their control. The manager is doing her absolute best to run this store the way it should be.

I called needing assistant with an online order spoke to a "Jess and aa "Brea" that claims to be a surgical nurse with no sympathy due to an ill dog. all I was inquiring about an online order of medication yes I was frustrated but not one time was I disrespectful nor cursed . she wasn't taken the nature of the call serious. when asking for Corp number she wouldn't give it to me, told me is up to the store manager to call me back and hung up on me such bad customer service.

They are marking things on clearance that expired in December of 2018. Check dates to keep your fur babies safe, this is not safe!

The staff was very helpful. I called ahead looking for a certain item for my cats. They had it and put it behind the register so I didn't have to look for it. The parking lot is another story. It's busy and challenging to get in and out.

I love to shop at pet I for my cats , prices are good and the staff are very friendly and pleasant. Best store-to shop for your pets , place is very clean and you can find what you’re looking for easily.
