Pretty disappointed in this business. I’ve been coming for years and have never had an issue. I dropped my dog off and upon picking him up saw he had a very irritated red right eye. I thought it was shampoo but it got worse as the night went on and I had to take him to the emergency vet. Couple of hundred dollars later and it was confirmed he had a scratched cornea. I understand mistakes happen and it wasn’t intentional but I wasn’t told and I’m adding pictures because you can very clearly see something wasn’t right. I called to inform them what happened and nothing was really done nor did I ever have someone call to check on him or to see if they could do anything to make it right. I’m not looking for a response at this point I’m trying to move past it but trust has been lost in this business and I just wanted to make other pet owners aware.

The very first time I brought in my beautiful Sushi, she had just been picked up from a foster home where I rescued her. She was a huge ball of fur, and because she’s mostly poodle, I did not wanna lose her beautiful curls. I was told that it was possible they would have to shave her down a bit, but they would do their best not to completely remove all of her fur. I was afraid to see what she looked like when I picked her up but she looked absolutely beautiful.! I always enjoy going in there. Because they’re very sweet and they truly love her. I will go nowhere else.! 🐾🐾 ♥️♥️

Cannot say enough about what a fantastic job the staff do at Happy Tails. We tried 10 different local groomers before HT. They would always insist that our golden doodlehad to be shaved. But HT has never had to shave her and gives her a great cut every time.

If I could rate this establishment 0 stars I would. Groomer, owner, and staff neglected my requests of a mini grooming for my 10 month old Golden doodle, drastically changing her appearance without my approval as I requested. I decided to give this shop a chance because of their high rating and good reviews, but I believe they are all fake reviews so that guests can redeem free services. Before the service began I went over with the receptionist my expectations, stating that I wanted my puppy to be bathed, nails clipped, face and body TRIMMED NOT SHAVED. I specified this because Olive had knots behind her ears and near her tummy but overall her curls and hair were in good shape. When I spoke to the groomer about her knots she said she would be able to brush them out, if not she would shave around the ears and take half of body hair off. Before leaving I told the receptionist to CALL ME before shaving her down or if anything were to change. I called the establishment THREE times for updates only to be ignored. When I picked Olive up I did not recognize her. They shaved her down completely drastically changing her appearance. If they were not capable of doing what I asked, they should've stated that from the beginning. After expressing my disapproval the owner did NOTHING and told me " a mini grooming was never going to happen." Even though I spoke to her the day prior. If they were not able to do a mini grooming they should have not agreed to the service. Not only did they ignored my requests even though I called the day before and several times during service, there was no empathy or professionalism. I spent $145 and ended up having to bath her myself because she was aggressively itching her skin. This shop does not value guests/pets or their requests. Please do not take your pet here. They are not qualified or professional. I usually keep my negative experiences to myself but this one deserves attention. Awful.

I took 4 of my babies here today for the first time. They went for full grooming and baths and they ALL look perfect! Their hair is evenly blended, not one cut or scratch on any of them, squeaky clean ears, nicely trimmed nails, and rhey snell wonderful. I couldn't be any happier! The facility is small but clean, nicely decorated and inviting. The owner is such a sweetheart and you can tell she genuinely cares about every animal that comes through her doors. She is personable, helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Her staff is friendly and all did a beautiful job. I can tell my babies were in great hands and that is so comforting when we leave our babies with strangers. I definitely recommend this place and I myself will only be taking my little guys here from now on! Thank you Victoria (and staff) for the wonderful experience!!!!

I recently took my beloved cocker spaniel, Penny, to Happy Tails Pet Spa and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was obvious they truly cared about Penny's well-being. The groomer did an exceptional job on her coat, and she came out looking and feeling amazing. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail and the obvious care that was taken with her grooming. I would highly recommend Happy Tails Pet Spa to anyone looking for a great pet grooming experience. Thank you for taking such good care of my furry friend!

I have been taking my two pup to Happy Tails for over three years now. My groomer Amy is fantastic. One of our pups is even excited to get his haircut, the other is too much of a daddy’s girl to ever want to leave my side. Regardless, for a week or two after their cuts we get non stop compliments. A bit pricey, but if you like to spoil your fur babies their couldn’t be a better place.

I’m super glad I took my fur babies here! This was their first professional grooming appointment and I showed up 10 mins late due to wrangling 2 dogs with my broken foot. The staff was super understanding which I appreciated. The package lists were organized and clearly written out on the chalk wall which was really helpful! After some quick paperwork, I was on my way and a little while later, my pups came out looking (and smelling) absolutely amazing. 10/10 will definitely come back because of the service and the cute complementary themed bandanas lol

Having my Maltese there for a year and very happy with Anna, but last visit my Maltese was hurt badly under his neck and leave a huge cut. I called the owner but Jim is no longer there so the new owner was very pleasant and make sure will be a wonderful service next time for my Maltese. I drove 40 minutes just to go there because I was hoping for an excellent service. Will give it one more try and hope that is just a one time accident.

I dropped off my dog to get a bath and mini groom and after 3 hours of my dog being there they called me and told me they cannot bath her and because she has too much hair and they would need to cut it . Ridiculous!!! Terrible service

We had an amazing experience from our welcome to the spa as new clients and upon picking up my large Golden Retriever. Donna, did an amazing job with our dog. Best grooming service we’ve ever had. My dog was happy and excited upon arrival and departure. They called throughout his visit to update me. Donna also gave me advice on how to treat his trouble skin areas. The whole experience from start to finish was professional, friendly, and I felt very comfortable and confident leaving our family dog at the spa. I will only use Happy Tails. We consider our dog to be a family member so we only want the best for him. Donna is amazing. The staff is friendly and kind. Thank you, Donna! Thank you, Happy Tails! See you soon!

What a great experience. We took our Maltese in for his first professional grooming and I just have to say that Happy Tails knocked it out of the park. My wife was so happy when I brought him home after his complete grooming. Thank you Maurice you did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend happy tails for all of your grooming needs. Have been taking our Chocolate Mini Schnauzer, Hershey, to Happy Tails since we got her in 2019.Can’t ever thank them enough for the phenomenal grooming job they consistently do.Bridget is a Schnauzer specialist and is truly amazing at what she does. Honestly, it’s like getting a new puppy again every time she’s groomed !The entire staff at Happy Tails is awesome and I believe that comes from great management.Victoria is always super friendly and accommodating and always makes sure everything is perfect for her customers . I have three little girls that love their spa day at Happy Tails! I’ve been taking them since they were puppy’s almost 6 yrs ago. There’s nothing like this place. My girls get home and they’re all happy, running around, not stressed out, itching themselves! They smell and look amazing! If you truly care about your dog like they’re a family member, then this will be the last groomer you go to.

My dogs and I love this place. I get a specific, but simple, cut for my Chihuahua mix but for some reason I had issues with getting what I wanted at every groomer I went to EXCEPT Happy Tails. They always do a beautiful job on my girl so I don’t see myself going to anyone else.

This was Chloe's first visit to Happy Tails and they exceeded our expectations. Chris, our groomer, did a fantastic job of bringing out Chloe's best features. She is part Yorkie and Chris trimmed her face and head perfectly , which gave her a beautiful Yorkie look. Something I have not been able to find in the four years I've lived in this area. Making an appointment was easy and the price was no more than everywhere else. I highly recommend Happy Tails!

I have lived in Wellington for a year and haven't been able to find a good groomer. Happy Tails Pet Spa was excellent! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly staff. It is neat and clean and they are well organized. My dog has had several bad haircuts that we have been trying to grow out. Karen took the time to listen to what we wanted and he looks adorable. She did a great job! I highly recommend bringing your dog here!

My mother came home tired from work after she picked up my dog (which so I thought) from this place. I look at the dog and she is running around the house sniffing, jumping, excited, and following us around everywhere. I immediately knew that wasn’t our dog because my dog Princess is very shy, anxious, and is nervous who likes to stay in corners & likes to be held. We immediately call Happy Tails to be given sass and attitude to the front desk associate. I stated that “are you sure you guys gave us the right dog? If so looks like you did a great job because she looks totally different” He snapped back”yes everyone today claims their dog so idk what to tel you” Soo I call 2 more times and my mom called 2 times and we said “can you please make sure you guys call all of the owners who came in that had a white Maltese as well and verify that’s their dog?” They blew us off and said the same thing but he said “yeah I’ll call but it’s gonna be the same response” He called me back not even 2 minutes later and said “yup everyone got their dog, they’re all labeled when they get groomed...” by that time I called again around 4:30 and no one answered & they say they close at 5. At this point we were freaking out because we are worried about our dog who has extreme anxiety and she is in a whole different home scared. We take “Cupcake” to the Vet to see if she has a chip (mind you princess is not chipped) and the vet found the rightful owners of Cupcake. Once we met them they said they NEVER received a call nor voicemail from Happy Tails. NEVER COME HERE ID YOU WANT BAD ATTITUDE FROM LIERS & POSSIBLY MIGHT COMEHOME WITH A NEW DOG.Do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE they should be ashamed of themselves for lying and can’t tell the difference between whose dog is who’s.On the left is the dog they insisted was ours:On the right is actually what my dog looks like:

This is our third groomer and by far the best experience for us and our dog Buster. We just moved to the area and very impressed. The staff is amazing and Buster loved the gal who groomed him. My wife picked him up and he was very happy and not stressed like at other groomers and he was done in a very reasonable time. We are very happy to have found Happy Tails

I recently moved here from New York and needed to find a groomer for our 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Although they all are different in size, color and coat, I did my research and found Happy Tails. Jim (the Owner) is very knowledgeable of this particular breed along with many others. Amy (the stylist) was as well. She asked all the right questions and was amazing, warm and gentile with my dogs. They were very professional, prompt and courteous. My babies walked out of the salon with their heads held high hoping everyone would see how beautiful they were. Thank you so much.

We bring our pups Wednesday & Odin to see these ladies and they do a fantastic job. Odin is short haired and doesn't require a hair cut, but he always smells good and his nails are trimmed. Wednesday can be a wirey haired dog when it's too long and they cut her perfectly. It's even, and exactly what we ask for. She smells as beautiful as she looks. My daughter loves the girls here and I love how my grandpups look when they come back home. I highly recommend this spa!!

Marley, my handsome toy poodle is 14 1/2 years old. I trust them so much with him. They are true professionals. I have witnessed how kind and loving they are with Every dog customer. I also take Ky-mani to get groomed, he is a 13 years old toy poodle as well. Happy Tails are the BEST !

I've been going to Happy Tails almost as long as they have been open and wouldn't go anywhere else. My dog walks right in and doesn't pull to run out like she did at some other groomers. They are all great that work there and take a genuine interest in what you want. You talk directly to your groomer so there will be no misunderstanding. They have so many different options for you to choose from and are always adding more. I have always walked away completely satisfied........and yes - the hot oil bath makes such a difference in my dogs coat!!

The customer service was inviting and warm however I picked my 10 mos Maltese after his grooming and he has an eye infection the lady stuck a emergency vet card in my hand for his eye and never mentioned and a bruised nail…my baby was gifted to me as I grieve the loss of my only child. he was in pain all night and i tried comforting him. I’m really saddened to experience this. Overall it is a nice place

I have 4 dogs that I have bringing here for some time now. I drive 45 min to go here for Amy who grooms two of my dogs. The other two have baths. She is awesome. Very detailed and does a great job I would not have my dogs groomed by anyone else. She has been doing my dogs hair for 4+ years now and I would follow her wherever she goes. The staff here is very friendly an great salon for your fur babies.
