I went to the location in Winn Dixie shopping center on 41 and it was the worst experience I've ever had. I walked into the store and wandered around for about 15 minutes before I saw an employee. I asked her if she could help me with a couple fish I was interested in and she looked at me like I was crazy and didn't even answer me. She completely ignored me, so awkward. Then another employee showed up and I stood there waiting for them to finish their conversation and finally asked again for help. There was a particular fish I was looking at getting and I asked how much it was and the girl said "I don't know" and that was that. I asked if she could find out and she walked up then back down the aisle and said she didn't see a tag with the price for that fish so she said "I guess not, I don't know." FRUSTRATING! What has happened to customer service? I was prepared to make a big purchase if I could've gotten some help. Instead I went down the road to Petco where everything is super expensive and got what I needed. But at least I got greeted when I entered the store and they could tell me how much their fish were. I wound up spending over $150 on fish and fish food, I would've spent it at Pet Supermarket but I will NEVER go back. I'm letting all the pet owners I know to STAY AWAY from this store.

I came to your store on the Bypass in Venice, Fl at 10:30 AM on Wed 2-7-24. There was Not another customer in the store and the Clerk (Shannon) looked up at me and Never said a word. I looked for a particular item which I did not see so I asked her if she had what I was looking for. She took me over pointed to several items and said this is what we have. I asked a couple questions which she did not know the answers. Sooooo I said OK I'll take this one. She took the item rung it up and said $8.01. Someone in this store needs to TRAIN employees how to use the words, Hello, Please, Thanks and any others that might indicate you really are interested in customers. This was the 2nd and Last time I will shop Pet Super Market.

Always a good selection of fish and very healthy live plants. Staff seemed fairly knowledgeable; she sure was a pro at netting our fish!Edit 8/5/23: Just purely by chance and very oddly, these two pictured fish have ended up as a breeding pair! I cannot wait to see the beautiful babies they will produce!

They have a great selection of fish and aquarium items...I'm one that doesn't like people hovering over me .I take my time checking out everything, once my mind is made up I ask for help

Limited selection and the items I purchase regularly are usually out of stock. Sometimes the customer service is good, sometimes it's not. Hit or miss. They do have a decent loyalty program, I guess that is why I continue to go back.

Nice staff, usually have what I need for cat food and litter. Check out is easy and prices are reasonably competitive. Sign up for their emails as they do pass along some decent coupons.

Love the options of fish and decorations. Sometimes they have the sweetest cats and kitties waiting for a home. They have everything! Including clothes for your pet, bones, cat stuff and much more!

One of two people in the entire store and I stand there being avoided! Happens too much at this location. Just got off work and had to stop in. I’d rather take my business somewhere else and get some respect!This isn’t the first time this has happened! Had to edit this review to add that in there. Same staff as well!

No greeting at the door. The store manager was texting on his phone and not paying attention to customer's. The other two managers that was there was no help either. I don't recommend this place. The animal cages was really dirty.

We just moved from Michigan. I love that when I asked if they carried my dogs brand of food (they didn't) they looked it up and helped me find a suitable substitute. The next week when I went for more, they had ordered the brand my dogs love! They even went and got it off of the truck for me because it wasn't unloaded yet. Excellent customer service!

This store has gone above and beyond for their customers safety. They have hand sanitizer ready and the store looks and smells clean every time I am in. The two managers Reno and Haley are polite and helpful. They always have great suggestions when it comes to my dogs needs. I wish there were more incredible pet store employees in this world. Their animals always look happy and healthy too!!! Love this store and refuse to shop anywhere else. If I could give them more stars I would!!!

Prices were slightly high on the cat trees but they had good add with coupons and great things on sale. They have a good rewards system. An employee actively asked about my cats and what I feed them. Offered suggestions because I am debating changing their food to something more natural and grain free but not overly expensive. If you buy so many bags of food you get some free. Will definatly be going back.

They have the highest. Pricest, can't afford it puppy pads 3 times higher than. Big lots. Wal-Mart everywhere rip off, sorry. So more than for a leash .never go back puppy pads. Oh my goodness

I usually love shopping here but it would be nice if I can walk in the store without being told within half way of opening the door to put on their hand sanitizer before walking in. What if I just used my own sanitizer? Shouldn't treat people like that when they are walking into a store. Need to come up with something not so insulting. It's kind of rude to not welcome customers in the store with a warm hello, instead your demanding them to sanitize their hands. Not great customer service, dont know if I will be coming back.

Staff is so nice and attentive. The staff truly loves animals. You never have to go looking for help and they will even carry your heavy bags of dog food to your car if you ask. My favorite pet supply store. I never go anywhere else.

Love pet supermarket. I have all pitties they are welcome there. As long as they are on leash and well behaved per the sign on their door. Good prices and if you are a rewards member, every $100 spent gets you $5 off your next purchase. No card needed just give them your phone number and they apply the coupon if you want. Love this place. And they carry your dog food to the car for you upon request!

Ran in for dog food . I have a lot of very specific needs when it comes to dog food. It couldn't have high fat content and it can not have any chicken at all . no chicken meal of any type ,no by products i mean none. Ill have you know its is very hard to fine dog food with out chicken . Almost all dog foods even the ones that say no chicken, have chicken. The young girl that works there spent like 20 minutes with me going up and down the aisles checking every bag of food reading all the ingredients to make sure that there was no chicken in the dry dog food I went way with performatrin Ultra Limited fish and sweet potato I have to admit my dogs love it

Nice pet store , with a smaller fish department. However when I asked for two neon tetras and told the clerk that would fill the tank as it was a small tank, she understood and said they should go well.
