Ocean Pointe was a perfect place to stay for our quick scuba weekend in the Florida Keys. It is about 1 hr 15 min from Miami and 10 min from Key Largo. Everything about it was easy and relaxed. Friendly check in and gate attendants, Updated condos with all the amenities. The pool is open 8am to 11pm as well as pickle ball, tennis, beach access and boat ramps close by. There were many scuba and snorkeling companies as well as close to restaurants, bars and vacation shopping. This site is perfect for families or a couple just wanting to get away

Stayed here one night on the way to Key West because I wanted to check out the Islamorada Sand Bar (neat). You can’t check in until 5pm (my room was ready at 230) and checkout is 11am. But the “suite” I rented was nothing close to the photos that were advertised. I understand that the rooms are privately owned and that they are decorated differently- but this place was unacceptable for the price charged. Decor was fine, but the old and very much lived in condo needs a huge renovation. It was nice to have laundry to dry the towels. They do give you pool towels which is nice too. We enjoyed the full kitchen, but look at how dirty the microwave and sprinklers are in my photos. The pool - 10/10. Amazing. Clean and warm water- but still refreshing. Also a hot tub - nice!Beach, small but it’s nice to have a private beach.

Older establishment. Home for some. Vacation rentals for others. Security gate is a nice bonus. Nice pool. Small, clean private beach near the docks by building 5. The room we are in feels very lived in but kept simply decorated. Kitchen supplies were well stocked. Bathroom had broken toilet roll. Master shower had no water pressure. Floors were not cleaned well as evidence by the dirt on my brand new white socks. Vacation rentals decorated differently, so you don't know what you're gonna get. Ours has a washer and dryer. Would I stay here again? Yes. I see that there are improvements happening around the grounds and the other buildings have renovations.

My mother stayed here for 2 weeks since I had a full house. She had stayed here in the past mainly because it’s close to my home. Having a large swimming pool to do laps was another highlight. Aside from a few nit picky things about the room: the small closet was full of appliances like the ironing board and vacuum cleaner leaving no room for clothes, they need a table with the 2 chairs on the balcony and they only had tiny coffee cups, everything was great. She had a nice view of the ocean beyond the marina and an eye level view of the osprey nest. It’s unfortunate that there are feral cats on the property but that is typical in the Keys…

I booked at Ocean Pointe via Airbnb and I was disappointed as soon as I opened up the door to the unit. Although I was aware the decor would be different than the advertised unit, I wasn't expecting it to be outdated, sparsely furnished, and dingy. I have an ADA recognized disability which requires me to be in very tidy surroundings and this space just wouldn't meet my standards. We checked out within a couple of hours of checking in and that was only because we were working with Airbnb to get help on what to do. We knew we wouldn't be staying the night though. It was late so once Airbnb gave up on us after a while we left and found accomodations elsewhere. It was in the middle of the night and it was pretty upsetting to say the least. The owner wouldn't give us a full refund even though we did not use the unit and we turned the keys and parking pass back in. Fine. Airbnb went back and forth with the owner/company well into the next day. We received a partial refund, which is disappointing, but unsurprising. It all boils down to money at the end of the day.In my opinion the rates do not align with what other hotels and resorts in the area are charging. We paid about the same per night at local Marriotts in the area, which is about $300 a night. We had high expectations for our anniversary trip and this experience definitely overshadowed our visit to Key Largo. I would encourage anyone willing to stay here to request to see the unit they will be checking into in person before signing any paperwork. If I had seen photos of this exact space I would not have booked it. I should have known I might be in for a bit and switch when I was told there was a fee for checking out before the end of your reservation. You live and you learn.

The condo was amazing, beautiful, and it was a great stay. We slept great. We had an ocean view and they had a book in our room past families and people wrote in about what they did. In the back there were cats and racoons in the wooded area and they were friends. It was the cutest thing. Having a condo made vacation like home. There was a pool and beach, we could swim in the ocean at. I would say the best stay I have ever had on a vacationNearby activities: Robbie's was great to go and feed tarpon and go fishing.Food & drinks: Sharky's was great for food.

A beautiful place to stay, very comfortable rooms, ideal for going with children. There are no bathrooms near the beach and check-in must be done outside the property. That was the negative side. I recommend the restRooms: Spacious and very comfortable with complete kitchen

I really like Ocean Pointe Suites. It’s not overly ritzy or spectacular (a plus for me), and I’ve never had problems with noise or other guests. I’ve been several times, and every room I’ve been in had working hot water for showers and kitchens that actually work as kitchens. The beds are very comfortable, and I’ve never seen any bugs, which is honestly miraculous considering it’s Florida. The elevators don’t creep me out. The views from the suites with balconies overlook a huge mangrove swamp which is gorgeous. I highly recommend this location.Safety: I’ve arrived in the evening a couple times, and the security folks at the check-in point have always been alert and oriented, polite, and diligent.

Staff was friendly; room was fine, although the bathroom venting did not work and made a loud humming motor noise when on. Limited kitchen utensils. A nice view of woods and ocean. Quiet and peaceful. Check-in process was not convenient as we had to go back and forth from the resort to the registration building (~2 miles away) twice and re-routed. This process info was not on check-in materials we received. We asked for a late checkout and was denied.

This place is horrible if you’re towing a trailer!! They will not let you in and then want to charge you $50 per day to park the trailer!! No solution until the dockmaster is back at work! Huge inconvenience and expensive.Update: what misunderstanding are you referring too? There was many in-used parking spaces. You just want to take advantage of your guests!

If having a garment cart available at a resort would be a reason to give a star, they would of gotten one. From the time I arrived at the check-in station it went downhill. I was asked for my unit number which I didn't know. I was told she could not look up the name and I needed a parking pass to enter. I was sent to an offsite office to check in. When checking in they wanted a credit card to put a 60 dollar incidental fee on of which they would keep 18 dollars of. I asked for a receipt for the transaction. I was told I couldn't have a receipt until I check out. She was not able to tell me why it was costing 18 dollar for them to hold a deposit. So back to the resort with room number. Was handed some paper about the resort. The unit had feces on the toilet seat and front of the bowl. The coffee pot and machine were dirty. I went ahead and took pictures and clean it up before the other guests arrived. Had to run a errand. Upon re entry the lady asked where my parking pass was. Saying it should be on the dash where she put it. I never saw a parking pass. Explained that to her. She said I had to pull off to the side and find it. I asked if I could have another one. No! They will tow my car without one. I pulled over to look. It had not been put on my dash it was buried in the resort papers. The unit rented was to sleep 6 to 8 people. We were arriving at different times in 4 vehicles Only 2 parking passes per rental. We would up last minute to book a room a a different resort to accommodate our guest.

I honestly do not know why anyone would give this place a bad review. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I always forget on vacation. We had the 2-bedroom ocean view unit, and it was amazing. It was clean, very big, a nice glass shower for me and my honey in the master bedroom and had everything we needed accept ice. There is a place right by where you check in that is a drive through pick up ice for 3.00 though. The bag was so big it lasted days. The balcony is very small but worked fine for us. The beach was soggy at the bottom when walking out but we know from FL to expect that if not on a main beach. Pool is huge and hot tub is too. Loved our stay. Zero complaints and would stay again.

This place is nice so far. There is a lot of useful items in the room. The room has dishes , pots and pans and other kitchen items and alot of other items you can use. Also has a washer and dryer in the room (that u don't have to pay for) Awesome place and view. We will definitely be coming back. There are 2 bedrooms, and they each have there own bathrooms. Not due to the rental management but the neighbors were loud and trashy. They also kept you up during the night making noise and banging around. Had to call security guards 4 of our 7 night stay and, called the Sheriff on one of the nights because of noise. The owner said that he would reimburse some of the money paid for the troubled nights but it has been since July 16th 2023 still no money back.HI. It's been 8 MONTHS still haven't heard back from when you said you would look into it. 🤔

I loved staying at Ocean Pointe Suites we rented through AirBnB and met so many great people on our trip to the Florida Keys. Definitely would stay here again!Rooms: We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment that had everything we needed.Nearby activities: Bahia Honda Beach is about an hour away, then Key West is about 2 hours from Ocean Pointe.Food & drinks: There was a cafe on the site, but it was not open, unfortunately. Marker 88, Gardenia Bistro, and the Key Lime pie factory were all amazing and within a 10-minute drive.

We loved our stay at Ocean Point Suites, and would stay again if in the Keys. The suites were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, pots/pans, plates/silverware, and cups/glasses. Having a washer and dryer in the unit made life much easier. We enjoyed the pool everyday, it is a large pool and music is played all day long. The beach area was fun, but is smaller. We liked the lounge area under the cafe and the pier. Check in was a pain, you have to go to another location and cannot check in until 5. They were nice enough to notice we were with another family with the same last name and put us in the same building. Housekeeping did a great job of getting the unit ready, but when we asked for more bath towels they only sent hand towels. They did send more trash bags and toilet paper when requested. Check out was very easy, you just have to call!We can’t wait to come back and stay again.

The place itself is very nice. We got a 2 bedroom suite with an ocean view. There's a few things in the room that need to be fixed and when we tried calling (twice throughout the day) they didn't answer, so we left a message. No return call, nothing. We asked for more towels, the shower in the master bedroom had zero pressure, toilet in other bathroom was plugged, and we needed more towels and an extra blanket. That was what we asked for in our voice-mail. Again, no answer. That night we got back, no towels. Called again and someone said they'd bring the towels at 7:30 am. Next morning, still no towels. The place would be wonderful if they had more maintenance and actual staff that cared and weren't crabby. At $267 a night we expected better. Wouldn't recommend due to staff response and attitude. Otherwise was a clean resort.

We’ve stayed here many times and in the past it’s been great, but it has changed. Check in time was 5:00 P.M. and check out 11:00 A.M. At 10:25 the next morning, housekeeping was knocking on the door for us to leave. I don’t know what the rush was, it wasn’t even very clean. Ocean pointe has seen better days.

I booked the room through expedia, and thought all the charges would be included, but VRBO charged me an extra $100. The owner told me that there would be a mural on wall, and there was nothing but a picture. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he doesn't know what a mural is. The restaurant was closed, the bar at the pool was closed, and he never notified me of this. According to the people who worked on the property, the restaurant had been closed for over 2 years. He was extremely misleading in our conversation, and to be quite frank, a liar!

This place was a bit of a hidden gem! The check-in process was not entirely clear (we showed up at 500 Burton Dr.) and when we approached the guard shack, the guard informed us that we needed to check-in elsewhere. Thankfully, the check-in location was less than 3 minutes away, and was easy. Otherwise, the room was clean and the amenities were nice. The only issues we had seemed to be getting towels, we had to call a few times in order to get them, but we did eventually get them. The location is close to lots of things in both Islamorada and Key Largo. Expect to spend approximately 2 hours in each direction if you are planning to head to Key West. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a week and it was our base house to explore the keys. The apartment is beautiful with everything necessary for our comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the apartment is super clean. A small balcony with spectacular views, a swimming pool, a marina, a small beach where you can rent kayaks, and a pier where you will receive a very good breeze.During the week it was super quiet but on the weekend it was filled with people who don't follow the rules. In the pool, people were eating in the water, all the stairs to enter the water were occupied with disrespectful people who didn't even move, screams, children running and loudspeakers. It's not too important because we really enjoyed our stay, and we only moved to the beach to be calmer, but something was wrong with the people.
