We spent three nights on The Yellowtail. We really enjoyed our stay, it was very comfortable and peaceful and the views were lovely. Didn't interact with the staff much except when checking in. The office staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We recently stayed at Mangrove Marina in the Yellowtail houseboat. What a fabulous place!! Mike was absolutely wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Glenn in the office provided us with a plethora of ideas for seeing the area. The houseboat was immaculate with breathtaking views, sunsets all while being surrounded in nature. The location is super central with so many options nearby. Our houseboat had an upper deck, so we spent the days watching the sun rise and again in the evenings for sunset. We also LOVED the pool!! Added plus is that you'll meet the nicest people and if you're lucky might enjoy fresh seafood at the end of the day from your neighbors!! Highly recommend!

Rented Calypso for 3 nights over spring break for 4 adults and 2 teens, and had a blast. Great boat, extreamly clean, plenty of space and we loved the covered deck up top. Staff was excellent, location was great, on-site food truck and bar were a great bonus - tacos were on point. Easily walkable to some great pizza and coffee shops nearby. We'll be back.

I have to say, staying on a houseboat was definitely a different type of vacation and it was very unique and awesome. Felt like a truly authentic way to experience the keys. The prime spot was the tiki bar right on sight at the marina. The folks were super welcoming and brought a true island vibe to our stay without having to drive all over the islands. Bring in some acoustic music and it would be even better. Love the whole location.

Our family had a wonderful experience this past week on our Dolphin houseboat. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive. The accomodations were immaculate and very well appointed. There was plenty of room for our family of four (including two special needs children) and we lacked for nothing during our stay. We also loved that there was a heated pool and a wonderful BBQ restaurant on site. There was so much wildlife right outside our deck - manatee, nurse shark, jelly fish, dolphins....it was amazing!

After being very wary about staying on a houseboat, this turned out to be one of the most unique and fun experiences! We felt so welcomed. Mike went out of his way to accommodate us and was just a joy to deal with. The boat was absolutely pristine. We stayed in many upscale 5 star hotels all over the keys and none were as clean and well maintained as this houseboat. The location was fantastic, the people were “Keys” friendly, and even my 19 year old daughter (it was her birthday) loved it more than anywhere else we’ve stayed. We are already planning our trip back! Highly recommended!

This is a magical marina. So much wildlife right out the back door. Right off the bat we saw a manatee, and then over the course of the next few days we a shark, jellies, and schools of fish. The facilites are nice and the houseboats are pretty big. There were a few lights that didn’t work and some of the furniture as a bit run down and stained, otherwise nicely curated and provided everything we needed for a great stay on the house boat.

We enjoyed our time at the Mangrove Marina. We stayed in the Starfish house boat. The setting was beautiful and we liked the idea of being on the water. However the starfish boat did have issues that would not be acceptable if staying in a regular hotel. The Starfish was an old houseboat and was in need of minor repairs. Broken cabinet door in bathroom. The bathroom below the deck shower would not drain. It rained while we were there and the ceiling began leaking in three places. The couch and rug in the front room were soaked and we had to put pans to catch water. In the bedroom the ceiling leaked into my suitcase soaking my clothes while we were out. You could tell by the staining on walls and ceiling this had been an ongoing issue. When we told the manager they acted like it was to be expected when renting a houseboat.They could have offer us a discount for the inconvenience of having to deal with this during our stay. I would not rent a houseboat from here again.

Super cute, intimate location, small bar with a BBQ/ Taco truck. Slightly obscured sunset view; but, still very pretty. Food came up quickly and the bartender was pretty fast as well. Pricing is not too expensive for this area and great quality food.

Clean and well kept marina. The pool is big and clean. Fin and Juice the beach bar is also really good. Now a new food truck named Big Daddy's... Super cute, intimate location, small bar with a BBQ/ Taco truck. Slightly obscured sunset view; but, still very pretty. Food came up quickly and the bartender was pretty fast as well. Rented a houseboat for a short trip to the keys. Mike was great getting us settled and all staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. The houseboat itself was clean and fit our needs well.Will definitely be back next time we can squeeze in a weekend getaway.

Very happy with our stay at this Marina, we arrived late and the gentleman in charge was super helpful to get us to the right slip and show us all the amenities and services in the Marina. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed thoroughly, quiet, clean restrooms and friendly staff. We will be back.

We had a great time staying at the aqualodge! We rented a 3 bedroom 2 bath boat which had a living room, dining room and kitchen. The entire second floor was a rooftop deck with a wet bar and deck furniture! So much aquatic wildlife swimming around our floating home including and array of fish, sharks, jellyfish and a family of manatees! Kids, teens, and adults all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well!

We have spent 6 days on the Manatee at the Mangrove Marina, and I can say right away we have loved it (2 adults and 4 kids). The houseboat was way large enough for the six of us, with all the amenities required (bathroom, kitchenette). It offers a “rooftop” (for lack of a better word) where we have had the chance to relax after a good day worth of visits of the Keys.The only negative part was, perhaps, the (very) aging and barely functioning stove (see picture), and the lack of some cleaning gear (a broom would have come handy at times with kids).Lastly, the staff was extremely nice and helpful throughout our stay.I warmly recommend this option if you have kids - or not, as there are smaller houseboats that would be very suitable for a romantic escape!

This is by far the best Marina in the Key Largo area, it’s clean, the pool it’s great and there service makes a different, Chris in the yard area and Brian in the office are amazing people. This is probably what makes our boat more enjoyable.

Beware! Stayed at Mangrove Marina Aqua Lodge in October for our anniversary. Read the reviews and description before booking. When we arrived I asked where the restaurant and bar were. "Oh, we don't have one". Well it was advertised that you do. Paid over $300/night for the houseboat we stayed in. When we walked in the door, the smell was so bad it was hard to breathe. Whatever they cleaned with left a horrible smell and apparently was covering up other odors. One of the first things we noticed was the rotted and moldy wood around the galley window. That night we had rain and the rain actually ran in at the window (not drip!). I had to put a towel down so the water wasn't running everywhere. Then we discovered the soffit over the sink was drooping. Upon further inspection, the upper cabinets were full of mold and rotted wood and the rain was actually running off the soffit above the sink. The next 2 nights were windy and they had a fender at the roof of the houseboat, above the bedroom window, and it rubbed (like nails on a chalkboard) all night. Finally at 4:00 a.m. I said I'm out of here. We left after only 3 nights of a week long stay. I will give them credit that they did reimburse our last 2 nights in full. I have attached pictures, but beware before you book.

What a great place to go and stay. I was not sure I wanted to do a houseboat, but as you can see, some of these are wicked amazing. We had a four bedroom and every night was magic sunsets. Love the place, we were in the middle of the Keys...so close to all the restaurants in Key Largo to Islamorada. Fish House, Lorelies and Hog Heaven was super fun dining on the water. We drove just over an hour to Key West and spent the day hanging out. We were able to dock the boat in a slip, and really have a blast. Ended up booking (4) boats with friends and bouncing from boat to boat (little apartments) was really cool for the kids and the adults. Great time....going back soon.

my buddy and i stayed here a couple nights while scuba diving down in the keys. it was such a great place, we loved the house boat it was so unique. i would stay here again in a heart beat. 10/10

We had the pleasure of staying on the yellowtail houseboat for a few days. The boat was perfect for the three of us. The balcony was the most amazing spot for the absolutely gorgeous sunsets you have the luck of seeing from this location.We will definitely be back for another visit.

Love this place. We arrived after 5 PM when the office was already closed. The neighboring yacht owners were very welcoming and helped us dock and settle in our slip. Then we watched sunset together while sharing a good conversation, laughter and a glass of wine. Very friendly bunch of people. Some of them, actually most of them, live on their boats here, for years. They are relaxed, smiling, certainly loving their lifestyle. We will be back in Mangrove Marina soon. Places like this one are unique and not forgettable.

It's very shallow getting and navigating around. We draw 3'6" and need high tide to not pick up dirt. Lively live onboard community, nice tiki bar and clean facilities.

We had an amazing 4 days at Mangrove Marina on the Houseboat! The marina had a laid-back atmosphere but had everything we needed! The location was great because it was near state parks, the bird sanctuary and restaurants. The pool was heated, Big Daddy’s Grill on site had a good pork sandwich and we enjoyed live music at night. If you’re thinking of booking, just do it! You will be happy you did the first morning you wake up and have coffee on the back deck of the houseboat looking out at the ocean. The staff at Mangrove Marina was outstanding and Mike was excellent at sharing contacts; should you need anything. Great experience and like being on your own boat without the project list! We cannot wait to book again!!

This was our second time... My husband took me back for my birthday! We stayed on the brand new Seahorse and it was perfect. Literally could sleep 8 people. We love to fish and being able to fish right off the back deck is priceless to us. We caught Snapper, trout and crab... Nothing huge but one keeper and the best time! I like that this boat was turned around from the last one so our deck was bigger to fish off the back rather than the bigger deck on the front by the walking ramp with traffic. It's very true this place has a lot to improve on... But if all you want to do is enjoy your house boat sunsets and fishing this is the place. Last time we brought our kayaks and there's a launch right there. We brought our bikes and enjoyed the Cuban coffee and Cafe across the street immensely! We also didn't mind a small drive for any of the other food we ate. If they ever get the bar and restaurant up and running there would be no need to leave the property. It is definitely true the houseboats are very close together... Not sure how to get away from that, but we made do and didn't have any problems with noise or Neighbors. We will definitely be back! We love this place!

Its old school chill. Its a bit DIY, but you can feel like a local if you want to. Cool place, houseboat rental was easy and outstanding. Easy to find and nice people. Fin's bar!!! Go, be nice, have fun, one of the coolest spots, the magic is real here!!!
