I went on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was relatively empty. The seating next to the water was a pleasant sight. I wanted a Corona, but they didn’t have it, as their drink selection was minimal. No liquor. Only limited beer and wine. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. Service was okay. They could also clean up the back deck, which was covered with leaves.

Made to Order truly delivers a delightful culinary experience with its homemade, flavorful dishes. The harmonious blend of pancakes, burgers, and eggs in a single meal showcases the versatility of their menu. Each bite reflects a commitment to quality, making it a must-try spot for those seeking a diverse and delicious dining adventure. Great view of the water.

We're locals, and have eaten at a ton of different places up and down the Middle Keys. Made 2 Order is one of the best when combining quality and value. The food is fresh, tasty. The prices are very reasonable for the Keys. You could easily pay 50% more for food of the same (high) quality. Most importantly our server, Amber Lee, was simply to-die-for. Not just helpful and attentive, but totally adorable. We sat for a long time at our table and she kept bringing coffee and iced tea refills, didn't rush us at all. There are a number of reviews here complaining about the wait. The place is popular for good reason. Just avoid the biggest rush times.Would recommend without a second thought.

Made 2 Order is a quaint local diner that strictly serves breakfast and lunch. This is one of those amazing hole-in-the-walls you don’t know exists until a local suggests you try it. After finishing a deep reef dive with Islamorada Dive Center, our guide Angeline, who is phenomenal, asked if we would be back for the afternoon shallow reef dive. We declined stating we were tired and hungry. Once she found out where we were staying she suggested Made 2 Order. The funniest thing about this place is that it was right next door to our hotel. Angeline assured us the food and service is fantastic. She wasn’t wrong! We arrived at lunchtime starving from two deep reef dives and cleaning gear. I ordered a grilled steak sandwich with fries. My buddy ordered a “burnt” cheeseburger with fries. Yes, I said burnt. I remember the waiter looked at my buddy like he didn’t understand. I took care of the problem the only way I knew how. I told the waiter he wanted a hockey puck on a bun. Somehow he understood what I meant. At home the kids and I pick on him about his love of burnt cheese, burgers, and hot dogs. We love him burnt burgers and all! While we waited we chatted with the cheerful waiter about diving. What else would you talk about, right? When our food arrived it was cooked perfectly. My buddy joked with the waiter that his cheeseburger was burnt. The poor guy looked at him confused. I let him off the hook by reassuring him it was perfect. The biggest surprise for me was that my grilled steak sandwich was made with real marinated flank steak and not shaved frozen meat slices. It was packed with so much steak I had to use the included knife just to close the sandwich. Needless to say, I didn’t eat dinner that night.Made 2 Order is a hidden gem amongst so many expensive restaurants in the Islamorada area. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We loved the close proximity to our hotel, the restaurant was clean, the food was amazing, and the staff was super attentive. The only wish my buddy has is next time they turn the temperature down on the AC. It would have been nicer if it was a little cooler in the restaurant. Made 2 Order will be a go-to for our future adventures in Islamorada.

French toast !! French toast !!! French toast !!!You have to order their French toast here. I asked the server what is ordered often here and she suggested French toast. We ordered French toast and eggs and pan cake. It took a good 30 mins to get out break fast. But totally worth the wait. I would order in and take out to save time. This was a Pit stop on our way to key west. They have outdoor and indoor seating area. Place is clean and welcoming.

The TraditionL Eggs Benedict was good, it was a little light on the sauce and the eggs weren’t seasoned but were cooked perfectly. The Island French toast is especially delicious but very sweet. Waffles were great. Coffee was perfect.

We stopped by for breakfast before heading back to Miami; it is nothing fancy but loved the little patio area facing the canal.Upon arrival the young man at the entrance was so nice! Props to his parents for such an educated 16 year old young man! We waited for about 15 mins to be seated. We sat, a little cold as it was extremely windy and we were in the patio area.I ordered orange juice and loved it. Freshly squeezed! I had The Works (which everything was simple but delicious - loved their pancakes so fluffy) with a side of Potatoes, 2 of my friends ordered their Famous French Toast with a side of 1 Biscuit (Orange butter was delicious! Orange zested in it; great idea!)Our server started great until the very end which she rolled her eyes and tried to blame my friend for her mistake upon taking her order and in additional she threw a big "WHATEVER" as my friend was trying to explain her about what was wrong with her meal. She had order 1 Biscuit but she decided to bring 3 Biscuits; upon dishes arriving we told the young man it was 1 so he mentioned he will tell our waitress. Not sure what went wrong or they had a miscommunication but she didn't know about it. But they way she treated my friend was unacceptable in every way!So when the check came in, I didn't tip her at all "I'm sure she read my big WHATEVER TIP" as she was fuming when she saw my credit card copy. Be a little more humble and nice next time! If you're having a bad day, take it elsewhere! Don't bring that negativity to your workplace. All in all, food was delicious but will never go back to get treated like crap!Vegetarian options: Some itemsKid-friendliness: If your child isn’t a picky eater!

Usually have a good experience here. But on this date they made people wait while two tables were wide open. Their excuse was "we are saving these in case a party of 5 shows up". There was no reservation. Two other parties of 2 and 3 were waiting for 30 minutes while these tables stayed vacant. I asked the manager why...he said we have to keep these in case a party shows up. I asked he was delaying other paying customers just "in case" a larger party shows up. Response " happy good Friday.....maybe you'll have the weekend you deserve". Wow!

Sat outside with a nice view. It did take about 10 minutes to get acknowledged and almost felt like we were inconveniencing them. Maybe just caught the staff on the wrong morning. Anyways, the food was okay. Tried the everything omelet and was content with it. While the menu does offer a wide variety of items, I would not recommend it for an “experience”. As I observed it seemed to have preferred the regulars. Again, food was great and very quick.

Not sure what the Made 2 Order’s response meant that “I should know better” and if “I was as local as I say I am”? ? Should I know better to not come to your restaurant? That I should wait for as long as we did and be mistreated ? Your wait is consistently over 45 minutes and it is not specialty food. You have a number of reviews that state this -local or not. It is just a shame that your inability to accept truthful reporting of this dining experience was ignored. Don’t write back- instead take the time to get the wait time and your staff attitude improved.

Unassuming place. Friendly staff. Decent food. Nothing amazing. My wife got the grouper reuben. It was very salty. I got the crab benedict with grits, which was tasty.Street parking and boat parking along the canal? Went for Sunday brunch and it was full but only waited about 15/20 min for a table.

Terrific little find! Right on the river/canal in Tavernier. Food was really good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Zach, our server, was extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for lunch if you’re in the Keys.
