A few weeks ago I broke my glasses. I had to go to post ofc which is next door to dg. Never been in this store. A very nice helpful girl directed to me where I could find them. Got them and she was busy doing something but asked if I needed to check out. Yes please. I hate self check out. I asked her if I had picked out the correct strength not only that but offered to cut the tag off. How thoughtful and a very pleasant attitude. Elderly like myself really do appreciate kindness. Sorry didn't get her name. Thank you

Very convenient location. Downside is the store is always a mess, dirty floors and merchandise everywhere. However the customer service is usually good. But today associate Kory was very rude and snippy. So maybe a redo in customer care for her. Do better next time Kory.

Super rude bleach blonde employee. The store still wasn’t open 5 mins after opening time so I called and she coped an attitude over the phone that it would be open in a “few mins” like I was rude for asking if the store was open when it was 5 mins past and she still had everything locked up and dark. Then she waited another 5 plus minutes before unlocking the front door and just walking away without saying a word and giving a dirty look. If you aren’t capable of being an opening employee and doing your job on time and correctly then you shouldn’t be on that shift it’s not the customers fault for wondering why it’s not open after opening time. Before this I had nothing but great experiences here as it’s a new location but not sure if I will be returning after this.

I'm going to rate that Dollar General a five star.The clerk there today was amazing she helped me get on the app and find things for me because I'm a little handicapped she was great. I can't thank you enough for hiring her. And I did stop her from waiting on other customers I would step out of the way. You have a great employee there sorry I didn't get her name. She was so kind.

I went to this location for the 1st. time. They had some very nice towels here on clearance. I stopped by for just that item. Ended up with almost 2 buggies full. The staff was very patient with me. Sandra and David were a fantastic team. And even helped me to the car. I will be back there again.

This is one of the most cluttered stores I have been in. It got cleaned up after the holidays, but is now a mess again. I can't use a shopping cart because gondolas are blocking the aisles. Obviously, I can't buy stuff that I can't get to. I live in a nearby retirement community and have heard several residents say that they don't shop there because the store is so "junked up." The location of this store is very convenient and I would like to see it cleaned up and organized. The clerks are doing the best they can, but they could certainly use some more help.

Store is extremely dirty, check out the picture I posted here of the spider webs with the eggs all over the outside door! The same was true all around the windows! The cashier was pleasant however.

This is the worst dollar general In Lake County. I've been here multiple times and every time I go their cash register freezes and everyone in line has to wait around till dollar generals ancient registers decide to work. I think whoever is running this place should be fired for wasting so many of their patrons time and not doing what's important getting new registers

This was the absolutely worst Dollar General I've ever been in. Filthy! Floors could not have been cleaned in at LEAST three weeks, product all over the floors EVEYWHERE, product in disarray on most of the shelves, trash cans overflowing at the checkout lane and the can outside of the manager's office. The ONLY plus was the cashier and manager seemed pleasant enough, but unfortunately the cashier was obviously not properly trained because when my wife pointed out that she rang up a shampoo bottle twice and didn't ring up the conditioner (same brand and also same price), she decided it it didn't matter since they were the same price. She doesn't understand the concept of keeping proper inventory. Someone should be fired. This is the worst retail store I have ever seen.

This Dollar General store was one of the many DG stores I visit regularly and was impressed with the Manager, who was very helpful, personable, knew her store (where everything was located), very efficient. She also discounted an item by $5.00 because I really like the item! These comments are why I rated the store a 5. Deserved!

Went into this location because it was close to other shops I needed to go to. The staff was rude, there were more than 12 rolltainers full of product out on the floor making it hard to maneuver, totes all over 1 area making it hard to reach products. The person who was stocking left a cart in the middle of the aisle so I had to move it out of the way to get passed. She got upset that I moved it, grabbed the cart and almost hit me with it. There were signs all over the store, starting outside about a 50% off sale they were having. When I looked closely, the sale had ended. I went to the cashier and let him know the sale had ended, but the signs were still up and he became confused. He went to the person stocking and she became agitated telling him and everyone one around, "They came in yesterday and said the signs were good, I don't know what you want from me!" Another customer stepped up, clearly shocked at this employess attitude, and told her that the sale was over and the signs had to come down because people were going to want the sale prices. The employee went around 1 area ripping the signs down, but left all the others up. I couldn't find one of the products I needed, but I wasn't about to ask for assistance given the attitude she was already displaying, so I paid for my purchases and left. I do need to point out that this was near the beginning of her shift since it was only 9 am and the store opened at 8. They weren't busy, but she displayed a bad attitude from the moment I wished her a good morning. I definitely will not be going back to this location.

The manager has made improvements in the store, this has been my favorite dollar store since I moved here and I have two closer to my home. But, the staff that worked their prior were so much friendlier. They knew me, I went there almost everyday, sometimes twice. But, I heard everyone quit right before Christmas, I don't know why. I know boxes weren't unpacked for at least 3 weeks. Then Mary took over the store, and yes, it looks much better. However, I don't feel the welcoming feeling that was there before. I hardly go there anymore, which makes me sad. I loved going there😔

Im fully aware that Dollar General store are not very clean, but this particular one takes the cake. I could use the bathroom i had to leave because it was disgusting. There was poopy paper and dirty pads on the floor. Would of taken better pics but had to leave.

This store is a constant wreck. The isles are always blocked with stock floats. The staff is RUDE and very unhelpful. You can tell how much they hate their job. There is a major leak in the roof right in the middle of the store, and they have storage bins to catch the water but no warning signs and still lots of water all over the floor. The entire store is a safety hazard. Avoid this location and go elsewhere.

There are deals to be had if you take the time to look. I've been in this store several different times and one thing that's consistent are the cashiers. There's no such thing as moving quickly through the line.

The New manager has been working Hard on keeping things stocked & the isles clear. Which is great for me, because i have a Scooter that i use t get around in.

Only good cleaning supplies here, clothes suck, makeup sucks, catfood sucks, and most of all, The toys are the worst, always break, in no time, bad customer service too. Dont ever purchase a heater from them either, mine broke in the first 5 minutes .took it back with reciept got another one, lasted 1 day, broke took it back they were out if them, so i requested money back so i could get another one somewhere else, mind you it was 40 that nite i have no heat in my trailer, bur they wouldnt refund me with my 2 day old reciept and they didnt have one in store, they said heaters have no refunds, oh boy i got so mad, it was so cold that nite and they cared less, poor store,.

I'm going to rate this dollar general a zero. The sign on the door clearly sayd they close at 10pm but for the last 4 times I have been here including tonight at 8:23pm there is a hand written sign on the door that says, "Sorry for your inconvenience. We are closed at 8pm. I sat in the parking lot typing this message and watched no less than 10 people go up to the door and turn around. Why don't you just out a sign on your website, close at 8pm so customers want waist their time going here and cant get waited on. Ughhhhhh

Store is supposed to open at 8, it is almost 8:10, doors still locked. Tried to call and they wouldn't even answer the phone. This is absurd. Your hours clearly state 8 am, and you still have not opened the door. To call this bad customer service is an understatement at best.

Place was a big mess. Carts loaded with product not put on shelves. Couldn't get thru the isles. Boxes broken down laying on the floors. One person working and she was on the phone while checking people out.

DG's are consistently predictable. The aisles are laid out differently at different locations, however. But the goods and prices are still uniform.

Today I rated it a 3 because every isle had carts with supplies to be unloaded and couldn't get to the items I needed.Usually I can find everything I need but had to give up after awhile.Sorry..I shop here maybe 3 times a week and couldn't do it today.

This store was a mess for a very long time. now that you have a new manager in there it's a 100% turned around it's a beautiful clean organized store kudos to your staff in the tavares location
