In addition to the normal accoutrement for your furry loved ones, you'll find a large selection of fresh pet food, organic options, and fresh, funny cookies! And for those local sports fans, get your pets their own jerseys!! Does your fur baby need a spa day? Sign them up!The owners, with their own four legged friends, are amazing! Super nice, invested in the best care, and involved in the community. Including partnering with the Poke Company once a month to donate to the Humane Society with a Poke night. This is a small business to support!

The best place and great location! This is really convenient, to wash your dog by yourself in a place like this one. The Modern Paws provides you a variety of shampoos for your dog. Moreover, they have eye care and ears care for your furry friend. I do not live in that area, but it is located in a great place right next to the dog parks. I always bring my dog to the dog park and after it, I brought her to self-wash. In the store, they provide a groomer if you like. My favorite dog wash! I highly recommend it.

I’ve been going to Modern Paws for years and Marley absolutely loves Megan. They always do an amazing job and I never feel nervous about dropping my little man off. I always get a full spa package with upgraded shampoos and love throwing in add-ons for a little extra pampering. I’ve never had an issue with my dog picking up fleas and their shop is extremely clean. A definite MUST if you are looking for a groomer!

a bit on the pricey side but 100% worth it. my puppy is so picky and i finally found a brand of food that he would eat. AND I CAN READ/UNDERSTAND EVERY INGREDIENT !!! he loves this gator chew toy we bought, he also wasn’t able to destroy it within the first day which is a great plus :)) he’s gaining weight, growing, and happy, all thanks to modern paws !

This pet shop is the best we've found in the Tampa Bay area. The people who own and work this shop are exceptional and kind. The shop itself is very modern and clean, packed full of all sorts of goodies/items for your pets. We buy the largest bags of dog food for our large dog and wherever needed, they'll carry it out to your vehicle for you and will even do home deliveries (not sure if that's changed since quarentine).They also have a groomer in house, and an area you can rent to use their large dog bathing/grooming tubs and accessories.We absolutely love this shop and could not recommend this place more!When you first drive up, if you can't find parking on that street, go around the block and there's the entrance to the parking garage thats actually above them. As an added bonus there's also a dog park practically across the street from them.

Amazing quality fresh food & kibble, plus durable, interactive toys, ALL the treats, chews, grooming supplies and more. Plus, everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It doesn’t get any better than The Modern Paws! Ben, Lisa, and their staff go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service, research-backed pet food, quality toys, and an extremely clean self-service dog wash area. I found this place over 5 years ago and I’m so thankful I did. My dog was having some health issues back then and I was interested in switching her food. After many conversations with Ben and Lisa, they gave me all of the information I could ever need on the different brands of food that they carry and why, etc so I ended up going with Answers Pet Food and it was the best decision I ever made for my dog’s health. She is now 9 years old and in perfect health all thanks to her diet! Whether it’s a special or last minute order, The Modern Paws makes it happen every time. They always make sure everything is in stock and would even deliver my orders to my doorstep. Ben and Lisa genuinely care about your pets and it shows in every way. Thank you guys!!

Love this place! The owners and staff are so kind and every experience has been pleasant. They have great products for fair prices and we get most of what we need from here. The grooming experiences have always been very good and they are fantastic with nail trims. I definitely recommend Modern Paws for anyone with a fur-baby.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Modern Paws and their staff. I have been buying food and treats from them for over a year. Staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to the industry and any type of pet product. I had my dog groomed here a little over a month ago and was by far the best haircut he has received. I have been to the other highest recommended places around the Tampa area and Modern Paws was heads and tails the best overall experience for me and my dog. Do not hesitate to go here. Would recommend 10/10! AMAZING!

I am so pleased with my experience at The Modern Paws! My German Shepherd absolutely loved his birthday cake and birthday cookies!!! Additionally, The Modern Paws delivered our order for free, as it was over $35 AND they left a sweet and generous surprise of MANY MANY samples for my pup to enjoy! The samples were a huge hit with him and we will definitely be placing a new order for all of his new favorite treats! Our pups Grace and Faith love having Modern Paws in our neighborhood. It’s their favorite place to go. We buy all of our treats and dog food from them. I was very impressed that despite being a smaller shop compared to some, it was very organized with a great selection. They were very friendly and helped me pick out the right raw food for my dog and budget. They also offer delivery to Hillsborough county which I will more than likely try in the future because I'm so busy and all the natural pet stores seem to be 25+ min from the house. Parking was slightly tricky because of construction in the area (hopefully it's not for long) so I was glad I picked a Sunday to go when it's quieter downtown (and another reason to try delivery for my next purchase). Very glad I stopped in!

We love bringing our dog here to wash him. The tubs are nice and large. They have great shampoos and there is never a wait- even on weekends. Plus they have a great selection of toys and treats!

Modern Paws is the only place I will take Wrigley to get groomed. They are the absolute best and she always comes back looking perfect and smelling so sweet. The staff is friendly and welcoming and take such great care of my girl. We also always have to get a treat or two after grooming bc they have such a great selection.

I took my puppers to be groomed here for the first time last week and we are both definitely in love! She usually gets nervous being handed off to a stranger but Christy was so welcoming and made both of us feel comfortable from the beginning. It took about 45 minutes and at such a reasonable price. While I was waiting, I went to one of the local coffee shops nearby and did some work! This will be me and Lola's go to spot for grooming and any other pet supply needs :) So happy to also support a local Tampa Bay business too.

I can’t express how amazing this store is. Every employee is extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I specifically drive 40 minutes to this store when I need something because I know I will always receive a warm welcome and helping hand. They never try to push products on their customers, they are extremely genuine, and they will take the time to make sure you feel comfortable with your buying decisions. My pup Layla absolutely loves going in to say hi and they have become a big part of her life! GO MODERN PAWS!!

We found Modern Paws while researching high quality cat food options for our kitty with allergies. The store has a variety of options from special dietary needs to raw, and frozen. We are happy to support a local business, but what impressed us most was the knowledge and support of the staff, particularly Lisa. Our cat is being picky, but she is a fount of knowledge and suggestions and has taken the time to explain various options and strategies to get kitty to accept a new regime. We will definitely be working with Modern paws to find the best solution for our Phantom and will go through them for our supplies. So glad we found this place!UPDATE: Our cat rejected the Answers turkey, so we asked if they had any samples we could try. Lisa put aside a couple of things and when we went in, Ryan listened to our concerns and even added a couple of Small Batch frozen chicken nuggets and Phantom LOVES them! We really appreciate the time and samples Modern Paws gave us and we will be going to them from now on for all of Phantom’s food. So worth it :-)

Really adorable pet store downtown with everything you could possibly need fit into a small, but very cute, space. They also offer grooming services, which are top notch, by appointment in their brand new dog spa. Owners Ben and Lisa are super sweet and always able to offer a ton of advice / information if you need it. There are no garbage products here, and if you’re looking for a unique toy or collar, this should be your first stop.

I’ve come to the Modern Paws since I moved to Channelside in 2019. The owners are so kind and welcoming, and the staff has always been very helpful in helping me find what I am looking for. Most importantly, they treat my dog as if he were family! I love this place and I am so happy to have a local shop to buy everything I need for my babies.

This is such an amazing pet store 😍❤️💯 The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They also carry very healthy food for my Yorkie Babygirl which makes her breath even smell better, I got a complement from the Vet on her teeth I know it’s from the healthy food the staff recommended “All Provide” ❤️😍 plus they deliver at no extra charge to me which is fabulous because I am also a Mommy of a beautiful daughter who is my priority and sometimes I can’t leave to get food for our doggie 🐶 so that service is an added bonus. God bless you guys always keep up the good work we love you 😍
