NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!! This is hands down the WORST grooming our dog has had in her 12 years of life! We took our Golden Retriever there the other day for a bath an LIGHT trim. Apparently the word “light” meant shave because they SHAVED her! Who shaves a Golden Retriever???? You can see the photos for yourself for a before and after. It will be 6 months until she gets her golden red fur back. On top of a REALLY REALLY BAD “light trim” the staff was rushed and rude with ZERO concern for customer service. We will NEVER be going back and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I have 5 chihuahuas that needed nails clipped! Sherry was awesome with them even my one that moved all around for her. It was only 2.00 each to get them done. They look great!!

Don’t take your dog here if you love them. Very rough staff trashed around my dog in an attempt to trim nails. Go down the street to bayshore pet resort they are just as cheap but they are actually kind to your dogs.

Worst cut ever! Anyone that saw my dog thought I had done it and laughed at his badly cut wolly mammoth look or some said it looked like a toupee or butt form as middle indented deep :/. Also had Uneven cuts throughout the body amd one ear flap had long hair while other choppy. To add insult to injury had to take my dog to the vet 2days later as he had clipper cuts and became so itchy that he broke out in a rash around the affected areas. He was miserable and whimpering.. bacterial infection.I wasn't use to a place looking unsanitary and had an uncomfortable feeling. My sister said maybe because it was a tiny place I was overreacting.. she now takes it back and I should have listened to my intuition. A full day at the vet, visit with meds$170 + $60 grooming= $230 expense!They can respond by taking responsibility or decide to make something up. It's not my purpose for posting. As a consumer I should use my experience to caution other to do your due diligence before you leave your furry babies anywhere and always follow your gut.* I won't post head or body shots but under part as the injury was most concerning to us.

Have returned to Tampa and since have taken Lucky there she loves it. They groomer her the way I want. Great job nice polite owners and groomer. Will always take her there

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive when I first pulled up to this place. It looks like an old 1960’s motel that has been converted (piecemeal) into three different uses. Pup Tent occupies what looks like the old motel office. So we walked up the steps and opened the door (with the old style panel Florida windows) and a very nice lady greeted us and explained the pricing. Note, there are no appointments!! It’s first come first serve as long as you get there before noon. This was the entire reason we went. Our dog needed to be groomed and groomed that day. So we left our little darling miniature schnauzer (5 months) with the lady and even she was like, “Wait, you’re leaving me here?” (Howls) Well I have to admit I was surprised when 3 hours later they called us back saying she was ready to be picked up! When we got there and saw her she was like a different dog. She looked show ready, and the price was very reasonable! We will be taking her back to Pup Tent (the bates motel?) and leaving her with the nice ladies. Great job guys!

Fast, friendly service. It is cash/check only though. Did a great job on my sheltie and the price is hard to beat. First come first served so drop off early when they open. Nails, haircut, bath, and teeth brushing $55 for a 30lb sheltie. The place is small but they get the job done and its been in Tampa for many decades so they are doing things right to be in business for so long. My dog came home happy. Great Job! IEdit, I keep going back, they do such a great job, they remember me by name. They have been there since 1973, that says a lot when other business come and go like junk mail and traffic.

I have been bringing my dogs here for many years. They are always friendly and take care of my dogs. It is first come, first serve so get there early! You can't beat the price either.. She deserves more so I always tip!

If there were more stars I would put more!!! I am so pleased with this place, its my first time there. Its first come, first serve, no appointments. I was there first and she was done in 2 hours. My poodle was a matted mess for many reasons due to our situation,,,,this lady took care of this like a pro. She did what we asked, to leave hair on the head, ears and tail...those only places our dog will let us brush! I gave her more than what she asked for, she truly deserved more. I am totally satisfied.

Although PupTent offers good quality dog grooming services, some of their employees lack good customer service skills. I gently pulled back the curtain just a smidge to ask a question, and the employee yanks it back in haste an anger to send a clear message to me. This was not necessary & extremely unprofessional. The employee proceeds to ask me what my question was & I told her I no longer had a question. I felt she was antagonizing the situation. I will not be treated so disrespectfully. I will not be returning to PupTent.

We dropped off our doodle to get groomed. We DO NOT brush her, we do not claim to brush her, but we do LOVE her. When my husband arrived, the employee was rude and unpleasant. We are dog owners who love our dogs unconditionally. We go to the groomers to get them groomed, NOT to be judged. I will not be going back to this groomer.

I don't know why people say they're cheap. It cost 70$ to get my flat-coated retriever groomed (and groomed poorly at that). He came away with his belly and inner thighs shaved roughly, leaving him itching from razor burn. For that amount of money, I would have expected better facilities or at least better treatment. Petco does a better job for cheaper than that and they have better facilities to boot.

I used them for the first time after my groomer went out of business. Charlie's behavior was normal unlike some others I had tried where he came home skittish and with scrapes and burns. As I said, I have only used them once, but I was very well satisfied and their price was more than reasonable.

This the best groomer in South Tampa. It is a one person shop and the results are perfect every time. The most important thing is that my Charlie does not fight me to go in. That means more to me then anything.

Great place to take your fur babies. I have a rescue who is very shy but she seems to like going there and is a very happy when she leaves there. Always happy and they do such a nice job an her nails and cleaning her ears.. love this plcpl

We specifically stated we did not want our mini labradoodle shaved, merely a summer cut and to even him out. He came back shaved, with a poodle style poof on his head, his tail was barely cut and his ears were not trimmed. The facilities are subpar - cramped and unclean -and my dog has been acting completely different since we returned home on Saturday afternoon. His skin seems irritated and he has been withdrawn and skittish. We will NOT be returning and overall I would say this is a case where you get what you pay for.

Great cuts listens to customers and my dog comes home relaxed. All good and oh by the way the cost is very reasonable.
