Pet parents, beware! With over eight years in the veterinary industry and a deep commitment to animal welfare, I must share my disheartening encounters with Petco's Grooming Salon.Initially lured in by their Vital Care program, our experiences were met by troubling incidents. On our first visit, our goofy Doodle, Vivian, suffered an injury brushed off as mere anxiety, despite her impeccable behavior and previous groomers' praise.Our recent visit solidified our decision to look elsewhere. We faced a groomer with a lackluster attitude, pushing unnecessary services and showing reluctance or bias against Doodle mix breeds. Management's failure to address our concerns further fueled our frustration. Despite their assurances to investigate our concerns, it seems like a generic response to negative feedback.Petco Grooming falls short in every aspect – from unprofessionalism to incompetence and poor customer service. Spare yourself the hassle and support a grooming salon that values your pet's well-being and your patronage. Your pets deserve better, and your support will be truly appreciated by a local or small business.

As an avid pet owner and advocate for animal welfare, I recently visited the Petco grooming salon with high hopes of providing my furry companion with a quality grooming experience. Unfortunately, my visit turned into a deeply disappointing ordeal that left me concerned for the well-being of not only my pet but all animals in their care.Upon entering the grooming salon, I was immediately struck by the appalling state of cleanliness. The floors were grimy, the grooming stations were cluttered and disorganized, and there was a noticeable odor of stale pet hair permeating the air. It was evident that the salon was in desperate need of thorough maintenance and cleaning.What troubled me even more than the unkempt environment was the lack of kindness and care shown towards the animals. As I observed the grooming process, I witnessed groomers handling pets roughly, displaying impatience and disregard for their comfort. Furthermore, the grooming techniques employed seemed rushed and haphazard, resulting in a subpar grooming outcome for my pet. It was clear that the focus was more on speed rather than ensuring the comfort and well-being of the animals under their care.As a pet owner, I place immense importance on entrusting my pet to establishments that prioritize their welfare and provide a safe and sanitary environment. Regrettably, Petco's grooming salon failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and animal care.

Staff is always friendly but they are required to push a membership “discount” program w/a monthly fee on customers at the register AND are now implementing a $0.10 “pollution” fine per bag on customers that need a bag(s) to carry their purchase in. The bag is a basic flimsy plastic grocery bag… Sorry, but won’t be shopping with Petco anymore… Don’t dig the greed…

Took my dog here for grooming and the staff was constantly selling me on their products and memberships even after I said I was not interested. Extremely pushy.Also, I spent $100 total for grooming and their “holiday package” she was recommending me which came with a bandana but when I arrived my dog didn't even have a bandana. When I asked for the bandana the staff member just gave it to me and didn't bother helping put it on my dog.

Absolutely butchered my golden doodle Cooper. We asked for a trim, ended up shaved and cut like a poodle. We even showed them a photo of what we were wanting, that didn’t matter. We also were on the receiving end of their sales pitch. We were excited to take Xmas photos after he was groomed and now he looks like a shaved down poodle. Horrible experience and a waste of money. Thanks petco ❤️

I don't remember the last time I left a review, but I can't say enough good things about the Vetco staff here. My goldendoodle puppy was an absolute train wreck for his vaccine appointment. Just displaying typical goldendoodle behavior. This staff went above and beyond in calming him down, ensuring he got his shot despite moving non stop and just made the whole process so easy. And they were extremely nice and professional. I highly highly recommend Vetco

This place is trash and so are their employees. In the last two weeks I have bought 6 fish. 3 assorted females, 1 elephant ear female, 1 Koi Female and 1 veitail male. Originally I was going to walk into a store and get a simple fish and kit then this short Spanish girl with red or brown hair helped me walk around and gather all the products she recommended me to use went to the register and Eriel provided me directions on how much solution I should use and how long I should keep it in before adding my fish to the new water. Both employees recommended me to use a filter, so I bought it. My first fish got stuck to the filter so I bought a second one the second one got stuck to the filter I returned the filter since it was killing my fish and then bought two more. Now you would think I would be fine but no my fish died came back got 2 more fishes since they were refunded and both of those fish died within 24 hours. I called to complain several times within 3 days I came to the store several times. Last night 01/30/2024 my husband called the store telling them how our fish died. They advise me to come in with the water to test it so I did. The person running the shift Dwayne told me that the reason why my fish were dying was due to the PH in the water and the type of water I was using. 6 fish I bought and 2 were 12.99$ each now it’s the water that’s killing my fish but checking online there is no proper guide of how much solution is recommended to take care of bettas. Dwayne checked that I used the proper measurements, Dwayne suggested that I go to Publix to buy distilled water for my fish which is ridiculous. So each time I want to change the water for my fish I have to buy water from Publix? There is no clear fact of why my fish were dying .. All of these employees need to be trained properly if they are going to give out advice for taking care of animals. 6 fish down within less than 2 weeks, last night I got refunded 32$ and that’s not even the full cost of all my fish. The only way they were able to resolve this is by refunding everything except the rocks I bought for the tank. Very unhappy I wanted a pet and a valid reason why my animals were dying. Not an excuse with a refund

Friendly staff, great service - clean facility. Met all my expectations compared to other grooming services. Happy with the cut. Had to leave my dog there for almost 4 hours - I thought that was a little too long for a scheduled appointment. The base cut is a fair price, but if you want nails trimmed, different shampoo and other services, the price jumps considerably. All in excluding tip paid around $84.

I Always go to this Petco because it is the closest one to my house and it has the best selection and they always have the dog food I need. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help.

Every one of the staff was extremely welcoming. I found everything I needed. Everything was fairly priced and I had all the help I could want. The cashier was spectacular working with a constant stream of strange, new dogs. They all loved her.

Staff believe they are fish police. Specifically Lauren who enjoys not making polite conversations that lead to a good sale but if not she uses an interrogation method that is demeaning and insulting. Imagine a fish store associate not wanting to sell you a water plant until you tell them exactly how you plan on using it. They make up their own policies as they go. We'll refund you a fish but cannot resale one if you do not give them a water sample. I do not call myself an expert on anything but I know do take pride in being knowledgeable and somewhat of an enthusiast when it comes to my fish. Oh not to mention the racist associate who breeds rabbits that told me to my face he will not sell his bunnies to Latino families because they only buy them to eat them. If you enjoy being interrogated and you feel the same about Latinos and bunnies than perhaps this is the place for you to support because I'm done giving them my money.

Natalie helped me at this location and was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. She was incredibly nice even though I arrived 10 minutes before closing and took her time to understand my problem with my tank and gave me everything I would need as well as great information to prevent similar issues from reoccurring. The next day my tank is completely cleared, great staff!

We were looking for a betta. We compared several stores to look for healthy looking bettas and picked out this one as the best. Their tanks were also clean, and the employee that helped us check out was great.We got our tank, betta, and several aquatic plants in there.There was one employee that was overbearing, but it wasn't too bad.

Worst petco in all existence. Went to buy fish and the employee and manager refused to sell fish. If I want to go buy fish and put them in my tank it is none of their business. What is their business is that they lost a loyal customer of 15 years. I don't need to explain myself prior to buying a fish. Horrible customer service. Thankfully Petsmart was smart enough to take my business.

Eriel is outstanding. He is incredibly knowledgeable and quick to help me every time! He goes above and beyond to make my shopping experience as pleasant and efficient as possible.This store is ok - no major complaints or any outstanding traits. They usually have what I need in stock and prices are ok. I wish they would price match Petsmart prices. That is one major recommendation I have to share.
