I have tried a variety of different dog food brands for my Pitbull and Rottweiler. I compare ingredients when it comes to feeding my fur babies. I noticed with Halo, they add 2% more of animal protein which is needed for essential good health. Halo also Carry’s can food as well. I add a can to their hard food, they love it. The price is reasonable, maybe in the future they can cut the cost so more people can afford it because I feel it beats any dog food brand out there right now. I highly recommend Halo for your fur babies.

I had the same experience as Anonymous User. Bought cans of Halo salmon, chicken and turkey canned food for my senior cats. They spent all night vomiting. Waited and tried again thinking it was something else. If they have a spoonful they throw up a little. A half of a 5.5 oz can each causes both seniors to projectile vomit all night. I called Halo and they asked what was in the vomit!! They think it's so delicious the cats are eating too fast and puking up the vegetable bits. There was nothing in their stomachs after the 1st few pukes except bloody mucus. One also had diarrhea all night. Canned food does not agree with my seniors but none were as bad as this. We're back on Blue Buffalo grain free Freedom dry with some occasional fresh cooked turkey or chicken and Earths Best baby peas puree. Also, the customer service rep was extremely rude and constantly talked over me, would not let me explain what happened or even finish a sentence. Finally hung up in disgust while she was bellowing at me. It took 3 tries to get credit with Amazon and had to speak to a supervisor who finally understood this product is guaranteed by Halo and Amazon is responsible to provide you a credit if the product is unsatisfactory. No amount of gradual transitioning worked with this food. Unless you want to wake up to cat puke and diarrhea all over the place, I'd avoid giving this to senior cats. They have a miraculous "cure" however, when not given the food anymore. Ugh

Halo's food is OUTSTANDING! Switched my pets over and they have made such great progress. Softer skin and coat and much happier to eat when meal time comes around. Definitely recommend :)

My 2 cats love Halo. They get some dry kibble but are eating mostly the canned, and they prefer the pate texture to the stew. My skinny kitty has filled out perfectly, and my picky eater has flourished; her coat is glossy, and she is clearly healthy and happy, demanding her 3 meals a day like clockwork. The ingredients list reassures me that my girls are getting the best possible food.

I've been using Halo cat food for several years now & it's the best I've found overall. My holistic vet recommended it. My current cat, Marley, used to eat both dry & wet but now only gets wet as she's older (about 19) and that's what my vet recommended I do for her. Marley's in very good health overall - especially considering her age. My Mom also feeds the wet Halo to her dog, Sage. Sage is in excellent health, although she is a young dog (but had a rough street life for a while before being rescued). Marley drinks less water now that she eats Halo wet only and Sage hardly ever drinks water - the vet says they get enough moisture with the food.

Halo? The best, absolutely the best. I feed 17 cats, certainly not all mine. Even though 3 back surgeries have kept me from work, would I change brands? No way! I tried another high end brand, but they've had a bit of bad press lately. I saved just a couple of dollars, but it wasn't worth it. The sensitive stomach type didn't really help the older kitties like Halo does, and with Halo, all the cat's coats are so sleek & healthy. I sing your praises to every pet owner I run into, even unabashedly in the pet store! I thank you for your quality and integrity.

Between my parents and I, we have 6 cats and they all 6 love Halo canned food! It consistently remains the food they eat, even when in a picky mood! The variety in flavors and textures is great! We love it because it is natural with no added yucky stuff (including BPA-FREE cans); it has never been recalled; we get EXCELLENT prices buying directly from Halo's website (coupons every month!); and wonderful customer service!

I love Halo this is the only dry food I feed my cat. She is black, and has a really nice shiny coat. She loves it, and I love that it doesn't have any chicken meal, or animal by-products. I also love the fact that they donate food to shelters.Those sweet cats, and dogs deserve the good stuff too. Thank you Halo, and keep up the great work!

My 3 dogs love Halo foods, and so do I (but for different reasons lol). I love it because I know it is a high quality product, with no "fillers". It provides excellent nutrition, without any byproducts, or meal, or anything else that isn't good for my dogs. I love the fact that Halo supports shelter animals by providing food and immunizations. This is a company that puts its money where its mouth is, sacrificing some of its profits to support shelters and the animals they care for. I enjoy their daily emails giving their readers a chance to learn about shelters, some of their animals, Greater Good charities, read rescue stories, and have chances to support these wonderful efforts to make our world a better place.I'm totally sold on this company and their products!

As the mother of 3 cats I love Halo for them - mine prefer the chicken Pate most - they are not big on stew style foods but love the pates! I'm very particular about the food that I eat. Why wouldn't I be just as particular about the food I buy for my cats. I read and research all of the ingredients before purchasing any products. I've found that Halo (Spot's Stew) is made of the highest quality ingredients with balanced nutrition for my adult and senior cats. What is of most importance is that my cats LOVE it. When I run out and have to feed them the second choice food (Wellness Core), my cats let me know in no uncertain terms, that they want their HALO.

Halo is the only food I feed my two rescued golden retrievers. Aged 13 and 7, my picky eaters want nothing to do with mealtime unless I serve them Halo. I love buying their food directly from Halo. The customer service is always great and I look forward to receiving their emails every month.

I am in love with this pet food. My older dog has completely turned around on this great nutrition! Running around like a pup again and coat looks great. I have a Jack Russell Terrier with an idiopathic seizure disorder, which means they can't tell me what causes it or triggers it. I've spent a lot of time over his now 7 years of life researching what could contribute to his disorder. Preservatives, 'meal' found in most dog food, by products, 4D animals - plus many, many more things - can exacerbate an animal with seizure disorder. Delving back into the research to find food I can feed my dog that I don't cook by hand, and ::Bells Ringing:: Halo. We went from having seizures ever 30-45 days, to a gap of about 5 years. Only now as he's aging, they are returning, but not with the same frequency, or intensity, as they were B.H. - Before Halo. I even recommended it to my neighbor who has a Chinese Chin with terrible eye allergies - he's improved as well. Not to mention the duration of time a bag of food lasts. My dogs seem to eat less, but stay fuller, longer. All in all, great product, Its done wonders for my dog and I'm very happy with the consistency and trust I feel when buying this product.

Why would you put garlic powder in cat food, it causes them to have digestive problems, what kind of an idiot doesn't do research before making cat food. Tried it once then read the ingredients and immediately took it away from my cat. DO THE RESEARCH GARLIC IS BAD FOR CATS!!!

I can't always find it, and I can't always afford it, but when I do and can, my cats love it. The moist looks and smells different than other canned food (that's a good thing) and since cats seem to have hydration issues, I really like the idea of a specially hydrating food.

Never will buy this brand again. Opened a can of the rabbit formula for senior cats, nowhere near the expiration date, and almost vomitted from the overpowering rancid smell. Improper handling causes this issue. Even worse is the woman on the phone refused to do anything about it even though I had another can to reference. What kind of person would keep something drowning in deadly bacteria until the chance to call? Toxic food like that can kill a senior cat and HALO obviously does not care what goes on during the processing of their cat food. Do not trust these people. They only want your money!

I purchased a bag of dry food and I noticed these long stringy webs, like spider webs. I looked through the bag and found 2 white worms in it. I will be returning the bag tomorrow and never purchasing this brand again!!
