Thank you Roland and Dad for making sure she got a flight to Detroit as she was unable to fly home with us. The Birdsmart guys are very honest and would definitely recommend the store to anyone looking for a lifelong best friend.

Went to this store today, to look for Zebra Finches. I was shocked by their incredible selection of all sorts of Finches and Parrots.I had to come from Brooksville, but it was worth the drive. The young man, was very polite and helpful.( I should have asked his name. )I will be back!!

Love this store the owner and his son are very friendly they know what they are doing… great prices I got 6 love birds from him all healthy and breeding already !!! And I only had them for 2 months ❤️❤️❤️I’ll definitely be back

Birdsmart in Tampa is a great place for bird enthusiasts. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. The selection of products is diverse and the prices are reasonable. The store is well-organized and inviting, creating a welcoming environment. It is a great place to visit and find what you need for your feathered friends. Apart from birds, they do have small turtles and rabbits for sale.

We're thrilled with our sweet lovebird. He's a beautiful, healthy, and a very sweet bird. He doesn't bite and he nestled right into our hand immediately. We have been to a lot of bird places in the Tampa bay area. Birdsmart is lovely. It's clean (yes there are seeds on the flood but these are birds!) The birds are happy, everyone had clean water and food. The owners were so nice to us. We looked at about 5 lovebirds before we made our decision and they didn't bat an eye. They were so friendly to us and helped with any questions we had. We are so thankful we found them!

I waited 4 months before leaving a review. I was sold a very, very healthy bird. I bought my Military Macaw from the owner of this store. When visiting the shop back in February of this year, the owner was friendly and extremely educated. All the birds in his shop are happy and healthy. He took the time (over 2 hours) to ensure that we knew everything needed to raise our new macaw, including feeding, perching, etc. Thank you for running a professional outlet. Thanks to you, we have a new family member, Donald, who will be in our lives for decades to come.

I have raised a few birds before and when I met the manager, he was knowledgeable and helpful, however I bought TWO lovebirds from them, and they have BOTH since died within 3 months of buying. The 1st was 30 days after I thought ok well he was just sick. But I took the remaining one to the vet and the vet said the bird was very underweight, most likely has a genetic problem and not viral. I have a love bird from a different breeder, she's perfectly fine, lots of energy and healthy. The 2 I bought from here were sickly since they came home and now DEAD. My daughter is devastated 😢. In the picture, Mango, the orange one, is significantly smaller, fluffed feathers, lethargic etc. Compared to the one from another breeder.

They made good when baby cockatels died. There was no initial explanation to us for handling (feeding) baby cockatels under ten weeks old. The new birds you see in photos are replacements and are great!

I have to say nothing but the best from this store I got several babies there, specially our big macaw, it was a pleasure doing business here, some people says they are expensive but they are exotic birds what did you expected? The place is super clean and the owner seek for good people to get the pets... I love that! They have a great variety of birds and others animals ... we are so pleased!

Never thought what was a great experience back in July would turn into a horrific, terrible outcome. The owner presented himself in a way that he seemed very knowledgeable/professional. I purchased a baby african grey (male) from this shop on July 17th, 2022 for $6,000. He passed away Sept 5th, 2022 with Hepatitis and Nephritis according to the necropsy report. I called the owner of the shop on Sept 22nd, 2022 based off the necropsy report to see what they would like to do about this situation as birds don't just contract Hepatitis in a short time span. The individual stated they were out of the country and would call me back upon their return Monday, Sept 26th, 2022. I never received a call back as promised. I attempted to call this morning with no answer. Then, at 4:12pm a second individual who claimed to be the 2nd owner of the shop called. He was extremely unprofessional, defensive, and aggressive over the phone. He's now refusing to do anything to remediate and takes no blame for selling me an extremely ill bird. According to the records, they purchased this baby bird from another pet shop known as Pretty Exotic Birds LLC in dade city, Florida. I do NOT recommend purchasing any animals from this pet shop PERIOD! I have a 5 year old, healthy african grey female that's doing very well. Shops like this have NO business being in the pet selling business, doing dirty transactions such as what I experienced. It's also worth mentioning based off extensive research, many others have suffered great loss with horrible, dishonest transactions of sick birds completed on behalf of Birdsmart.

My first time going. I was looking for a new lovebird and found a perfect bird. It is a small store but they have a large assortment of birds to choose from... Great price and they clipped the wings and let me know it was a male bird. Great service... highly recommend.

BE AWARE ⚠️ ⛔️We bought a pair of male and female GREEN Quakers this year on February 20, 2023. The guy who was at the store said, these birds are excellent talkers but it has been 4 months, and they didn't utter a single word. Tired of teaching, but they did not learn a single word! Instead they scream all day like a crow and chicken. The guy said if we are not happy with our purchase we can bring them back. Attempted to return but they denied to accept the return. I also posted on some social bird rehoming groups so I can get rid of them. Unfortunately, nobody is interested and they said it's not talking birds. We have been scammed, and cheated by the seller.

We've got our little buddy (green check conure) from here about a week ago. He is super cute and funny and not scared of hands, he did fine on our two hours trip home and we even let him out in the car ;) awesome store with competitive prices and beautiful birds. Second bird on the picture is also from this store but we got here earlier and they get along just fine ☺️

The only complaint I have is that my aviary isn't big enough to put every species of finch he has in!! The owner is always nice and willing to stop what he's doing to help. he is also great about answer questions on the phone. He has a fantastic variety of finches, even the ones you usually have to buy online +plus shipping. $$$ His animals always look healthy, I worked for a pet store and can definitively say his animals are well taken care of. Say "hello" to his personal cockatoo and you'll see one happy bird. Also the cages seem clean and all the birds I have from him are healthy and adjust quickly. Added bonus, he makes sure to get the exact finch you want and doesn't make you feel even a little bad. If I could give them a 10/5 I would. I don't leave many reviews, but this store is great.

I purchased a male canary. I specifically asked for one that sang. The owner pointed to several that did. I asked him if he were to choose one , which one would it be and he showed me which canary he would pick. I purchased it and it truly is a great singer. He sang as soon as I got him home and he sings often throughout the day. He told me which foods to give him including veggies and fruits. “ Sunny” is a very happy boy!❤️

What an amazing display of what a bird store can be. I have never been in a bird store (or any pet shop) that was so clean. I recently purchased a beautiful healthy baby Nanday Conure from this family owned establishment and could not be happier. After hand raising several birds and purchasing them all from different breeders over the years I can confidently say that Birdsmart has the nicest, cleanest, most professional set up I have purchased from yet. Another thing was all the birds were super friendly and wanting to be picked up. I almost made a purchase down the road at everything birds but after I was unable to handle almost any of their birds i’ve decided to come check out birdsmart and I’m very glad I did. My beautiful baby Nanday conure has warmed right up to me and I can’t tell a difference from hand feeding my other birds from the age of 3 to 4 weeks to buying this one when he was 11 weeks old.

Avian mites! Those poor birdies, there is an entire cage full of budgies with their beaks actively falling off while we were in there! Some of them had eye involvement! It was AWFUL! While the rest of the cages are quite clean (looking? Who knows anyone can change out newspapers daily and not actually disinfect/wash anything) don’t let them fool you! Decided to not even purchase the items I went in for! Get this babies help people and quarantine them!
