I love pets super market I always go and always happy with how they look but this one in particularly super disappointing, ive been here a couple times and Everytime I come it smells terrible, the cages are a mess and not clean, all the birds have tiny little flies and the rodents have flies crawling on them, it’s so sad because other locations are great, these poor animals should not be living like this not one bit, the employees and management should have a bit more care.

I’m new to the area and I used to work at pet supermarket so i normally feel comfortable going inside. However my two out of three experiences in this store have been a disappointment. My first encounter was with a shift manager (alexander) who was having issues giving me the 25% managers discount on my cat food. I could see him getting frustrated and instead of admitting he could not figure it out or get help from anyone, he gave me my $5 rewards on my account instead and said it was done. He did not add the discount.Thankfully I came back the next day and a girl who worked there corrected what he did. I wish i remembered her name because she made my experience a breeze.Fast forward to yesterday I wanted to give the store another chance and as soon as i walk in there’s two customers waiting at the register and nobody is there. They kept yelling “register” to get someone to come up and eventually a guy did. We get behind the customers at the register to check out and the guy moves from one register to the other without saying a word to us. So we’re standing there awkwardly and walk over to the other side and wait, he takes awhile with these customers and that’s not a big deal but atleast acknowledge us. After fives minutes of waiting he calls another girl to come check us out again not saying a word or even looking at us. I wish i could remember the names of the two girls that have helped me out because they were efficient and acknowledged my existence and even tried to help me find cat food. They’re the only reason why this review is getting an additional star or else it would be a one star review.In my experience I’ve always been happy coming to pet supermarket because i’ve always felt welcomed. After this last experience I won’t be returning to this store.

I bought the cutest dog treats from this pet supermarket. Spent less than $5 and I had one seriously happy pooch. They didn't have any kitties of snake kitties (ferrets) available, so that was a bummer, but I always love stopping in when I'm nearby

This is my absolute favorite pet store! I recently purchased a 55 gallon fish tank kit from here and yesterday I finally started to fill it. This location has probably the biggest variety of cichlids i have ever seen in a pet supermarket. I only got 3 peacocks for now, but im super excited to fill the rest of my tank here. The store manager, Jared, was super helpful in explaining the setup process and what fish to choose. If u need anything fish this location is the place!

Store was very clean and smelled better than your avergage pet store. They had adorable animals and a wide variety of fish and reptiles! Staff was very friendly and let my kids hold the ferrets, I will be coming back here regularly!

I had the opportunity to visit this New location in Tamarac. I was surprised as how big and clean it was. They offer a full grooming service. The staff is friendly and the place is well located.

This Store is my new favorite. Their self-service Pet Grooming is a HIT. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Great, friendly staff, helpful and super nice. I have a husky which tends to be difficult to groom by strangers, and doing it at home is very messy, even outdoors. This place immediately has become my favorite with their $10 self-service grooming. For ten bucks, you get to do it yourself, it includes shampoo, apron, towels, treats and even blow drying, among other things. My husky Athena and I left there so happy, we can't wait to come back again. Keep it up guys, you're doing a great job👏👏👏🙌👌👌

Ample parking is easy to get in and out of the lot. The store is well stocked and has a great selection of products for all types of pets. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Made my purchase and checked out. Shopping here is easy. Quick and costs were reasonable.

Very nice, friendly, and helpful. Greated me and directed to the area that should have what I needed. They did not have what I needed and gave me directions to another store (competitor) that would have it. The level of customer service was something I have not seen in years. Highly recommend the staff was very helpful. They were interested in solving my problem not just letting me go from store to store without help.

New to town and checked this place out. Staff was friendly. Went in to mainly get fish but came back couple days later and got the doggie stroller. Fish are still doing great! The pups love their ride now. I will definitely return.

I had a flea infestation in my home. Many recommendations were given to me as far as treatment for my yard and dogs. It seemed I was spending alot of time and money and nothing was working. Then I met Jared at Pet Supermarket. Jared was extremely knowledgeable and gave me the correct information to solve my problem. Thank you Jared 😊

So I frequent Pet Supermarket all right I’ve got multiple aquariums. I buy supplies and fish from usually the same a few locations where people know my familiar face. Today I was closer to this one. I bought a very sick very pretty looking. Ask her last night and it didn’t make it through the night. Let’s just say that the return process was very extra for no reason both of the people working today were extremely extra. The dude told me to go home and get a water sample. The manager allowed me to still make a return without doing so, but asked me like 10 million questions as if I was like some kind of criminal. And as if I don’t know how to keep cichlids. They don’t even have a good selection of fish. I wouldn’t be back to the store ever.

I never have a good experience when I go to this location. They really mistreat the fish. Last time I went there was a dead, dried up betta fish on the counter. This time I went and there was live shrimps all over the floor that a lady employee spilled and left to go check out a customer. I was shocked I just walked out and never plan on going back there.

Friendliest employee/manager I believe. Apple Pay was down and I forgot my card, he let me zelle him and he payed for my dogs food with his card! Amazing customer service, have been back every other week since!!!!!! He knows myself and my dog when we come in.

I usually have no issues at this location but yesterday I was completely ignored by an older blonde lady while I was trying to purchase my items. She saw me standing there and proceeded to turn her back on me and didn’t even gesture over another employee. Very frustrating as the staff here has always been very helpful. Learn how to take care of the customers !!!!

Sad experience today. Went to the 5735 N University Dr., Tamarac, FL store to go self-wash my dog. Asked for a specific shampoo and conditioner, they said they didn’t have that kind, I was like okay (oh well). Then the supervisor started telling me what to do. I got uncomfortable at the moment. Then I said okay, I’ll take the Oatmeal blend, and the other person behind the counter only handed me shampoo. I was like, “where is the conditioner?”. She’s like, see it’s thick like conditioner. Excuse me?!?!? So a looked at them and said, you clearly don’t know what you are doing and I’ll take my dog somewhere else. We left that store, will not ever go back there.

Bettas are kept in tiny 1/2 cup or less square containers that are only filled half way or less with foul water they cant even turn around and they all look sick one looked like it was bloated (pine-cone) needs meds I told the rep and he made a lame excuse that they were planning on correcting that today and it wont be like that if I come back tomorrow its disgusting This store is on University Drive in Tamarac. Disgusting...

First time going, the cashier asked if I had an account, i told no it's my first time coming, didn't offer to open an account, the price was different from the item marked by the staff and system, went back i told them, never apologize for the price difference. I guess the head manager was bossing everyone around so obviously the rest of the staff will have a bad attitude. When the gentleman advice swipe the card for the refund I asked not all the amount just the difference?, that's when the manager got on the way and didn't let the staff finish talking to me. Obviously i got confused asked more questions and the manager just open his eyes bigger and spoke louder.. not going again, bad first experience

Absolutely astounding. I was calling around in the sun rise pet supermarket told me I cannot bring my pet in. When I called the Tamarack facility they were very welcoming and warm hearted Zachary took my call and Victoria and Jarred all helped me do my shopping at the store. They are absolutely phenomenal people. Definitely will visit again

No complaints! I like the self grooming area! Updating my review.as of 02.06.2022....the worker today was not that nice....you really need to reinstate appts for the self grooming. I came twice while listening to her and they gave the sink to another customer. A real time waster..

I would like to thank Alyssa the store manager for going above and beyond for me.I came to the store in search of my new pet they did not have it in the store and they did not know when they would have one. Alyssa took it upon herself to go in search of my pet in other stores and called me later on the same day and let me know she found one for me. I have never have someone be so kind and willing to serve her customers as she did. Keep up the good workYou have made this store my favorite pet store from this point onThanks again
