Have taken my vehicle here now 3 times for the same issue in a short time span causing my to be unable to drive my car for more then a short distance. Each time the issue is not fixed. They are continuously pitching unrelated recommendations when I need the core reported issue fixed to be able to reliably drive my car. One time they reset the diagnostic codes and told me "sorry, go drive it around and come back when it happens again..." and charged me anyway...I can't say whether they are just incompetent or scummy but either way I wouldn't come here for more then an oil change or other basic work you can usually just do yourself.

I have been taking my cars to this location for regular maintenance for years! Everyone has always been super nice and super accommodating, but today was an experience that makes me never want to come back. The girl who checked in my car didn’t discuss any of the deals that were going on or discounts I could get after being a customer for as many years as I have been. And the price of the oil change was the highest I’ve ever seen it, which was alarming. I went online myself later and found, the discount Coupon and used it. She acted like she wasn’t surprised at checkout like she knew that was the special going on but just didn’t want to offer it to me. Which has never happened at this location!!!!Secondly, I get in my car she did not hand me wheel lock for my tires, so I had to search through my car and found it in my glove box, not handed and returned to me like usual.And lastly, but possibly the most aggravating was I waited for 2 1/2 hours I do not know when my car was actually done, because the mechanics in the back had put the file upfront for her, but she was too busy scrolling on her phone to recognize that my car was finished! So I’m not sure how long I sat there while my car was done Because of her not paying attention to her job. I ended up late for my afternoon meetings and left, incredibly flustered.Its disappointing because the manager I’m familiar with is very nice and I’ve always had a good experience here! I’ve continued to bring my cars here even know that I’ve moved to the hollywood area. Kind of makes me not want to come back….

I took my car to the pep boys on commercial Blvd in Tamarac to get information regarding new tires and alignment.I spoke with Walmann the technician…His approach and personalty was extremely professional and knowledgeable SO MUCH that I decided to get my tires and alignment there.Next was the manager Francisco: personalty was with a customer who was having problem with her credit card, Let’s say his patience and support was superb. That’s an amazing customer service. I couldn’t help but to compliment him in front the customer. While Fressia was busy on the phone helping and advising other customers in the most efficient manner possible.Bottomline I AM A VERY HAPPY NEW CUSTOMER. Stop by friends. You won’t regret it!

I went in for front-end alignment due to pulling to the right. When the truck was returned, the problem was about 20% better. I took it back again and got it back about 80% better, but still pulling to the right slightly. After a month, I got a chance to take it back again for a re-do. When I got it back, I was told that I needed 4 new tires, and the back two are really good. I was told that the tires were too big and all needed to be replaced. I admitted that the tires were slightly too big but were not causing any issues.

Completely disgusted with this company. I made an appointment for an oil change in February. I was there 5 minutes early and was parked waiting in my car. An employee came out of the bay, got in another customers car next me AND HIT MY PARKED CAR. And... He kept going!! He didn't stop until I got out of the car yelling. And then he had the audacity to ask me why I was upset. The manager came. Told me someone would call me within 48 hours. Of course, I had to call them and file a complaint in order to get a phone call. Dealing with the claims dept was a nightmare. The claims adjuster never answered my calls and I had to file a complaint EVERY TIME I wanted a phone call returned. I asked 3 times for a supervisor to call me, and I've yet to receive that phone call. I had a vacation planned that I ended up having to pay someone to drive me since my car was compromised and pep boys wouldn't provide a rental. It took a month to get payment to fix my car. They did provide a rental for 4 days while my car was being fixed, but tried to make me pay for the insurance and other charges. I wouldn't even need the rental HAD YOUR EMPLOYEE NOT HIT MY CAR THAT WAS PARKED IN YOUR PARKING LOT!!!!

I came in to get an inspection on a vehicle I wanted to buy. As a woman buying a used car its intimidating, but I really appreciate the professional opinion and amazing customer service I got at this store. Kudos to the manager and his team!

I made an appointment online. Showed up for the appointment. There was a relaxing place to sit, and work on my phone. Coffee machine for my use. Did need to pay $8.00 over what was quoted on line, but they explain any overages that may occur on line and in person. No up sell! Drove out in time for my next appointment. Very Satisfied.

No stars. Horrible experience. If all they can do is change tires/oil then say so. They had my car, physically for a week. Couldn't figure out the problem. Only focused on one{same scenario}. First day, was sent a OBD report, all seemed ok. Wanted to keep overnight. I called Tues/Wed, was told same thing. They never called me. Still working on it but, still focused only on one scenario. I didn't call Thur or Fri and neither did they. In fact, they never called with updates. I contacted their customer relations, Victor F replied. I was told would go to their Field Leadership Team. I contacted again, was told same thing. Finally shop called after a week. Still no resolution, still focused on same scenario. Clueless. They're not sorry for a bad experience.'"

Very unprofessional staff. Not customer service focused and told me the wait will be 2 1/2 hours to change my tires! Couldnt get in contact with anyone after called all morning. I went there because it was close to my house. Later that day, I went to another pepboys and had a very positive experience.

I wasn’t impressed with the customer service here at all. The manager didn’t try to up sell me or even tell me about the ninety day warranty that came with the service I paid for. To be honest, they should hire more nice women to mainly handle the front desk. I think this would really help the customer service. The store is clean but you can tell it’s a really old building. Almost all their accessory products are overpriced. Even though the service done on my car was great; My experience with this location was all in all inadequate.

Remove your wheel covers before going for any work requiring their removal.I generally have a positive experience with this location, but I forgot to remove my wheel covers the last time I was there. Removing the covers is something I started doing after a cover went missing the last time I left my car there.This time, I leave my car whole, and when I get it back, it's missing the cover on the driver side front wheel. When I ask about its location, I'm told that I didn't come with a wheel cover. That I somehow managed not to notice the only missing cover on the side I'm most likely to see. It's hard to ignore the difference between the silver cover and what looks like rust. I've had the covers on my wheels for years. They don't just fall off. That's what the retention ring is for. Speaking of the retention ring, by the time I got home, the cover on the rear driver side wheel was partially off of the wheel, swaying as I drove. The retention ring was not properly equipped. I understand if wheel covers aren't so common that everyone at the location would be familiar with them. What I don't understand is why, if you're not comfortable with what you're doing, you'd gamble on them instead of throwing them in the trunk, which has been done before.The service is otherwise fine.

I have an appointment and told me I need to front tires, balance, and alignment. they told me they have the tires are special order. I left my car overnight and today they called me to say the tires didn't arrive and they didn't do the job. I told them to cancel the order, I would go to another mechanic shop. The manager came and told me to no cancel and yes come back when I was off, to do the work, I didn't know when my next day off. will be so you pep boy credit car was charge $480 and not job was made. I told the manager to cancel the transaction and save the tires until I get a day off, He said no the tires will go back and the day I'm off Ihave to come they will have to order the tires again, so will be the same issues.Meanwhile , my car need alligment and the % still running and the job was not done

I never have a problem with Pep Boys at this location... They're always very friendly and explain everything to me about my vehicle... And I love the mobile communication to update me about my vehicle...I also appreciate the Lyft rides to and from my home.

I LOVE PEP BOYS!! I have been going to this location (Tamarac) and the one in Coral Springs (off of University Dr.) for years now and I always leave satisfied!! I have to say, this time was the best yet! The guys at the Tamarac service center are so helpful & nice! I came in with a stressful situation & within minutes they had me happy & resolved my problem before promised!! I will definitely be back & would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks guys!! You did me right today, as usual! 😍💯

Called yesterday to book an appointment to install tires to my trailer. I told him I needed to install trailer tires and he “that’s fine” and continued to book me for my appointment. I adjusted my work schedule to get there at the right time only to find out that they don’t have the tires, they can’t order them and offered no solution. Poor customer service

Patrick at the parts counter was nice, fast, and knew what he was doing. I did an online order; one of the parts for my 1985 Cadillac Seville wasn't where it was supposed to be and he didn't give up until he found it. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had at a parts store.

I went in on Sunday morning with a flat tire. I didn't have an appointment, yet Jamar was able to take care of me. My tire was replaced by Jerimiah within an hour. I am very happy with the service provided. Pep Boys staff has always been good to me.

Once again, I had another fabulous experience at Pep Boys in Tamarac. Having moved from California to Florida, a year ago, I have total confidence in the quality of the work done by this particular Pep Boys store. The Management Team, Peter Hogge and Dwight, along with their very efficient team of workers, makes a customer feel they are in very capable hands. Their pricing is reasonable, and you earn Rewards Dollars for all the work you have done, in addition to discount promotions. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone wanting quality car work. Way to go, Pep Boys!Now, two years later, I stand strong with a Five star review!I have been dealing with Pep Boys for years, and this is why I keep coming back. From the moment I enter the store, I am greeted and asked how I may be helped. The staff at this Pep Boys, on Commercial and University, in Tamarac, is especially helpful. I purchased just one tire, yesterday, due to a nail puncture, and price was a strong consideration, as was quality. I received both! Thank you, Pep Boys!Over due for an update, and here it goes...I returned to Pep Boys in Tamarac, and Jamar is now the Manager in charge. I now have a 2019 Honda Civic, and I brought it in for servicing for what I thought was just an oil change and brake fluid flush. The technicians at this Pep Boys have been there for many years and when they inspect a car, they check for everything. They are even willing to show you on your car, that the recommendations are really needed. One of the things I actually needed was a serpentine belt, and while they worked on other things, they sent someone to pick it up that day, and replaced it. I may have had to wait there a bit longer than expected, and my bill may have been higher than expected, but I was discounted, appropriately. I also opened a Pep Boys Credit Card and was approved immediately, with no interest for a year. I know I will pay it off before a year, and with that said I will now be driving with Peace of Mind, knowing my car is in great shape. More importantly, when I am driving my car, I do notice a big difference in how the car functions and drives so smoothly. Jamar and all of your wonderful technicians, I want to shout out a great big Thank you, for a job well done! I definitely will be returning to your repair shop, as needed!

I went to Pepboys and had a horrible experience in regard to having my rear tire evaluated for a leak on my new Tesla. They told me the tire was unrepairable, had less than 2000 miles on it, that I needed to buy a new $380 tire. I had the tire repaired at another establishment, which had no issues plugging the tire. For $13, and it's working fine. I am in the process of cancelling that order at Pepboys, attempted to do it twice now Sat and then Sunday, it's become a joke.The service writer was unable to do it, claimed his manager was only able to after wasting an hour of my time, came back Sunday same issue. Waste of time. Going to dispute the charge from Pepboys with the credit card, the tire never left their store and is still in their possession. It's a shame I been going to Pepboys over 25 years and even worked for them for a while.

Customer Service is poor, I went in Friday for an oil change and they told me they couldn’t do it and I said okay, and schedule an appointment for Monday at 10:30. I come in and they tell me they don’t have anything scheduled under my name when I came in person to do it, I look at the text they sent me and it says my appointment has been canceled and clearly I didn’t do it. They guy that helped me Friday was really nice and I looked forward for a nice service, but the people that where there today didn’t even say hello, and that they could schedule me for tomorrow? So now I have to take time out of work and my day to do it again? No, take your car somewhere else.

Jeremiah has been working on my vehicles since 1998 always excellent service - he not only does whats on the paper but he observes if there is anything else that needs attention- I rely on his opinion. I have recommended my friends and family and they are also happy with him.

OUTSTANDING!I have a warranty with a dealership where they did not answer their phone over a few days of calling. My search took me to Pep Boys. An actual person answered the phone promptly and patiently moved my appointment around more than once over a few days to accommodate my need (A disabling condition makes it very hard to wait.) When I arrived, my car was instantly serviced, and by more than one auto tech. While I waited, another considerate staff came by with info and to see if I was okay. I have never had this kind of consideration and effort by a service garage before. (And I have had a fleet of cars in the past that should have been parked in a junk yard rather than a sales lot.) It was simply a wonderful experience for something I dreaded. Special mention for John who led the way in getting my service done well and speedy. I give them six stars on the five point scale!
