Shopping at Walmart has always been a convenient experience, or so I thought until a recent encounter left me thoroughly disappointed. My dissatisfaction stems from Walmart's refusal to accept returns made through their app, coupled with the abysmal customer service provided by a certain employee, BRINDA.Let's start with the return policy. In this digital age, where online shopping has become the norm, one would expect a retail giant like Walmart to adapt accordingly. However, my attempts to return an item purchased through the Walmart app were met with staunch resistance. Despite presenting valid proof of purchase and adhering to the specified return window, I was informed that returns from the app were not accepted in-store. This policy is not only inconvenient but also outdated, considering the prevalence of online shopping in today's society. By restricting returns to in-store purchases only, Walmart effectively alienates a significant portion of its customer base who prefer the convenience of online shopping. But the frustration didn't end there. Upon explaining my predicament to Brinda, an employee at the customer service desk, I was met with sheer indifference and unhelpfulness. Instead of offering a solution or attempting to address my concerns, Brinda proceeded to overtalk me, dismissing my grievances without a second thought. Her lack of empathy and unwillingness to listen only exacerbated an already frustrating situation. Customer service is the backbone of any successful business, and Brinda's demeanor was a clear indication of Walmart's disregard for its patrons. What truly irked me was Brinda's condescending attitude. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, neither of which was extended to me during my interaction with her. Instead of acknowledging my frustration, Brinda chose to speak over me, displaying a complete disregard for my concerns. It was evident that she had no interest in providing assistance, opting instead to brush me off with empty apologies and excuses.Furthermore, Brinda's incompetence was glaringly evident. Despite my repeated attempts to explain the situation, she failed to comprehend the issue at hand, further prolonging the resolution process. It was abundantly clear that she lacked the necessary training and skills to handle customer inquiries effectively. Her inability to listen and communicate only served to exacerbate an already tense situation, leaving me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer. In conclusion, my experience with Walmart's return policy and customer service was nothing short of disappointing. The refusal to accept returns from the Walmart app is a glaring oversight in today's digital age, while employees like Brinda only serve to tarnish the company's reputation further. As a loyal customer, I expected better from Walmart, but alas, my expectations were not met. Until Walmart addresses these issues and implements necessary changes, I will be taking my business elsewhere.Edit: i called walmart’s customer service, and they told me that the item i bought can return at the store, there is no way the store doesn’t accept it. And that was the only option. After talked with them on the phone, they made exception for me to send it by mail return.

Customer service Jasmine was very helpful in solving a problem for me. She is an angel. In addition, Mohammad help me, diligently, with a register problem. My card was acting up. He solved it by trying 2 more registers. He went above the call of duty as he had helpped me earlier in the store. I witness him on another day and occasion as he helped another customer. He was so kind to her that it caught my attention.

Had an awkward and unpleasant customer experience in self checkout. Around this time, an associate managing the self checkout walks up to me and my items, and checks out what I have in my basket and just stands there. To ensure i scan all of my items. How threatening? No greeting or small talk to make it seem anything less (Defeats the purpose of having surveillance). After I complete my purchase, I'm then stopped again to have my receipt checked.

Walmart super centers have all you need in 1 store. Lots of walking around to obtain items you need. I have severe copd and use a walker so it's difficult for me.Our Walmart supplies every Wednesday Electric carts for us since we are in assisted living. Makes it so easy to shop.

My mom tried to get 3 money orders and provided her state ID. First of all, they didn't know what chauffeur meant on the license. She provided her state ID and then they asked for a secondary ID. Who carries their SS card with them? Do employees just make up stuff as they go along? Or is there a different policy for each store?

I always go in only needing one item but end up leaving with much more, especially as the holidays get nearer. Great gift ideas and great prices. I’m an evening shopper and with each visit the night employees continue to be helpful and friendly.

Oct 3 is way too early for Christmas decorations. Service is hit or miss. Some of the cashiers and stock employees go way out off their way to be helpful. Other times, it seems like an assistant manager or supervisor squashes that attitude and slows down the entire shopping experience. Overall, they have everything. And a convenient location.

I called 3 different Walmart stores today to inquire about purchasing a cell phone and service. W Tenn St, N Monroe st, and now thomasville rd. All of which no one answered the phone. Was about $150.00 I was looking at spending w Walmart today. Oh well, I’m sure they do need my cash. No longer shopping @ Any Walmart! No customer service at all

Management should be ashamed. Garden center is unmanned and chained shut. 20 bags of soil ordered. They couldn't find anyone to work the garden center. they called on loudspeaker for any associate to help. . .for 30 minutes. No one came. Called Customer Service from the Garden Center and was informed they couldn't help. Then they stopped answering. After 30 minutes my brother and I chained 4 carts together and pushed the train out into the parking lot. Zero management presence, understaffed. Staff told me: "do what you got to do if they won't help you" when I said the fire alarms will go off if I open the Garden Center doors. What's the point in having staff if customers have to do everything? Embarrassing.

Unbelievable how much variety they offer under one roof. Staff are rude and clearly don't want to be there. Lucky it is possible to figure things out on your own

To Walmart,You have one job. Take care of customers and offer customer service. This isn't the first time there hasn't been carts for us to use but it will be the last time for a while I will come back. You take away the greeters, you take away the cashiers and now force us to get our own carts. I expect to get an employee discount when I come back. You should take one of the three people you have standing by the front doors and send them to get carts. Maybe you would make money to pay your employees. But since we did not have carts instead I bought what I needed tonight a pack of chicken and will go to publix tomorrow to buy the rest of what is on my list.Sincerely,All of your customers

In Bainbridge, Georgia kindly sharing a large parking lot with others, only to be reminded of what the border looks like. And, how God is saving Israel. I watched a Mexican man exit Walmart only to show his concern and parenting skills for his wife and small child ( as they watched, too). It is considerate enough, but it gets worse......this man gently allowed his family to enter his vehicle only to sling Walmart's (family)cart afterwards. The cart literally flew on curb in front of his parking place, not to leave out, that the steel of the cart cannot withstand that type of abuse. Now, comments for Tallahassee Walmart. It is appalling to even mention my experience at this one. You have three employees all who don't want to use their hard earned money for their "families" at Christmas time, but will use mine. So, they decided to hold up online pick ups only to confuse people in the parking lot that have waited hours. Then, when customers want refunds, by calling outside number, the employees contradict what online customer representative suggest, which is getting a refund, only to recognize, 5 minutes later, that the Walmart employee tapped picked up package, but I did not. This is really happening. Unless Walmart has a lot of CPAs on its payroll, I really don't see how this place can be in the top small businesses genre. Employees figured out how to take from the consumer and not take from Walmart, and vice versa. They are really doing this at these Walmarts. Gut it and start all over with new employees. Continue until quota is filled. Stock exchange may look better.

This is a typical Walmart. What you would expect. Which is exactly what you want. Solid job under trying circumstances in retail. It will be nice if they ever open up the garden doors and registers again. Hopefully one day.

This was in Tallahassee, Bradfordville area. They had the perfect mixing bowl: 2.5 quart glass - dishwasher safe that I could use for a “pudding basin“. I did not find dried apricots. Had to go to Publix for those. The staff were out and about and open to directing me to find other random item I am not normally shopping for.

This store really needs a lot of help. It's Thursday and at least 1/3rd of the grocery shelves are empty! The frozen food section still has doors that don't close properly so that items inside are defrosting (I pointed this out to management 3 weeks ago). There were only 3 cashiers open (this includes the few items isle)! If it wasn't so close to home, I would not shop there.

This Walmart has really went downhill they only have the self checkout open with the small register so if you have a $200 order you have to do one item at a time.Never any registers open with cashiers especially on a Saturday before Thanksgiving in my opinion it's best to go to the Monroe location where registers long self-scan registers are open

Cart availability is hit or miss, and if you get one, chances are the front wheels are jacked up thus resulting in challenging navigation through the store. Self checkout stations are the best and most efficient way if you have a few to moderate amount of items. Inventory has returned to pre-COVID as of October 2023.

Only 2 registers with cashiers and LONG lines at both ends of self check outs. Merchandise all over the floor. This watermelon in the fresh produce area. I stopping going to this store…..it’s really gone down hill in the year I have lived here….nothing has improved.

The automotive department has not answered the phone for a week. I’ve been calling this particular Walmart on Kerry forest parkway and not even once has the tire department answered the phone. This is the worst Walmart in Tallahassee. It’s sad that I live 7 minutes away from the thomasville, but have to travel almost 30 minutes to go to the west Tennessee locations tire center. All of this because y’all won’t answer the phone and do your work, pathetic.

This review is for a particular employee. His name is Marco. Today I ordered groceries online to be delivered to my home address. He was my delivery guy. He had left out 2 items at the time of delivery, which can happen from time to time. I called the store, spoke to someone in the delivery and pick-up department. Mentioned the issue, said my app told me the name of the delivery driver. I guess Marco had just got back to the depot and he got on the phone and apologized profusely and got back out and delivered the missing items. About 20 minutes later, he showed up with my items and apologized again. I told him that it was fine, I wasn't angry, but appreciate him getting back out. He looked tired, hot, and sweaty. I also assured him mistakes happen and being that its so hot out its easier to overlook things. As customers, sometimes we forget that these workers are people too. They make mistakes and as long as your nice about it, most of the time, people will bend over backwards for you. Thank you, Marco, for your great service.

March 2024 update of review, from the worst to the best! Shout out for Kareem M. and Rufus T. in the Auto Care Center. I arrived close to 6:30 pm with a nail in my tire. Got a text that it was fixed at 7:48 -- even though Auto hours were supposed to end at 7:00. They went the extra mile which meant the car was ready first thing this morning - really made my life easier. Thanks!!This store claims it cannot accept returns of online orders because it does not have a working printer for shipping labels. Heard that story 5 days ago and went back today to try again. Same story. "Team lead" completely unhelpful in resolving problem. In fact, not sure she understood it was a problem from a customer perspective. What a total fail in today's world!!

Once again Walmart in Tallahassee never fails to disappoint. I arrived at the Walmart service center on Thomasville road at 8:40 a.m. for my 9:00 a.m. appointment, I was actually checked in on time by Joe. While I was doing my shopping, I asked for assistance from two different Walmart employees to find something I was looking for and of course I was made to feel like I was bothering them asking for help. After an hour's time I had it back to the service center desk at 10:06 a.m. and they had not even started my oil change, however, there were five people that came in after me who got taken care of and checked out ahead of me, seem to be mostly tire customers. When I mentioned to one of the guys that I had been there for over an hour waiting for an oil change, he asked me which car was mine and I told him. It was not until I said something to him again that he pulled my car in and at 10:24 a.m. start the oil change. He was finished at 10:47 a.m. and I was checked out by Courtney, the team lead. while I was sitting in the customer waiting room waiting on my car, a female Walmart employee came stomping in the room with her nasty, bad attitude and sat down, texting and talking on her phone, evidently on her break and soon another female employee joined her and the first female employee commenced to complaining to her about her day so far with no regard that I was a customer and how unprofessional that was. This room is supposed to be for customers, it is not the employee break room and she should have not been in there to start with. I won't be back to this Walmart anytime soon.

It's a HOT MESS! Items are ALWAYS out of stock. Grocery items may be expired. What is in stock is thrown on shelves without any sense of organization. Definitely the WORST Walmart I've visited by far. Unfortunately it's the one right next to my home. Take some tips from Publix and Target. They need a whole new management team.
