I cannot recommend The Puppy Ladies enough. Jean is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to her, I have a well mannered, sweet and happy labrador. My lab was a real handful as a puppy but Jean taught us how to navigate both through the puppyhood and the awkward teenage stage. As a first time dog owner, Jean’s guidance was invaluable. The awesome thing about Jean’s classes that puppies get to both learn obedience and socialize in a safe way. We learnt a lot about dog’s body language and their needs in general. Jean’s methods are top-notch and based on good canine science. If I get another pup, the first thing we will do is book with Jean.

I love working and taking my dog to classes with Mrs. Jean. She is very nice and knows a lot. She will help you with whatever you might be thinking about. The way she does her training is incredible and it's so nice to see the dogs get better and better every week! Our family has taken classes with her ever since we had our first dog, who recently passed away but she was such a great dog but full of energy. We took classes with her and it made such a difference. I have my own dog now and he has taken 2 different classes and a therapy class with her. Im even helping her in puppy classes now. Jean is a master of her craft and I have learned so much about dog psychology through her classes with two puppies. If you are willing to put in the work for the long haul, Jean will help you set up your puppy for a lifetime of success in navigating the human world.I cannot stress enough the importance of following her protocols. It's not a one-and-done with this type of training. You have to work at it everyday, and it WILL pay off.I have told friends back home in Los Angeles about Jean, and they are paying 10x the amount for animal behaviorists and psychologists for their dogs that have been messed up by the old methods of punishment.

My dad and I were very disappointed. My sm dog of 14 years died Oct. 2021. My sister as an act of love came home from Arizona and got me a puppy. We were td it was a border collie. He was sm, very active and growing fast. I take care of my parents and was concerned. The vet said get this dog some training, he's going to be a big dog. Jean comforted me telling me if this class didn't work out, we would figure out something. We went to all 6 classes. Jean is very knowledgeable about dogs and as she spoke trooper barked. She told me to keep throwing dog treats at him and when that didn't work she said the treats were cheap. She told us what to buy and where. That didn't work. When the dogs were grouped to socialize, he did great. To this day he has never growled or tried to fight with another dog. As classes went on, she would get her helpers to take trooper to the field to run and on last 2 classes, we were ask to sit away from the others. She told us to buy this toy she had because she said he had to much energy. After the 6th class she thanked us and went to talk to others. I ask at the end of each class, what we were doing wrong and twice she said, I really don't have time to talk. She kept emailing pages and pages of ways to train a dog but we were list in all the paper work. We needed help and she told us if this was not a good class for trooper, she would work out something. My dad was upset and told me to let's just chalk it up to experience. I was also told maybe I should see if someone else might want him that I could never train this dog. I don't know how you take care of a dog for 5 months and just say your not the dog for me. It was very upsetting and because we had never had to ask for help with our animals, we did not know what to expect. I think she enjoyed working with the easy ones but with the hard one, we just brought him to class, sat on the side away from others and fed him treats. I honestly expected her to say, this hasn't worked out, why don't we try another class or private sessions or maybe another training group. She just took the money and let us visit on the side lines.

I don’t want to sit hear and completely talk down about this company. Our trainer was very knowledgeable about dogs and would answer every question to the best of her ability. “Training Classes” consisted of one huge ice breaker....into a big question and answer for about 10-15 minutes then playtime for about 10 minutes....back into Q and A and then she would Proceed to say things like.. “did you see so and so, he does that because of this....and ultimately pinpoint what each dog does wrong and right....and then that was your training class for the week.For starters it is only 1 lady and a teenager in a backyard. It’s very uncomfortable with the heat, mud and flies all over the place.Don’t even think about mentioning anything you tried doing research on because you are more than likely always wrong. Don’t you dare mention Cesar Milan...just a heads up!I gave this place a 2 star rating because I was able to justify paying $150 dollars for 6 weeks for socialization and playtime.

It is not as advanced as I was looking for. I do not think the Pupoy Ladies are very welcoming to humans. Now, I have to pay for someone our Veterinarian recommended. The price is reasonable. However, you get wh what you pay for.
