I'M a meat cutter st the store we put out thr freshest quality meat that Is cut by me and my manager that has over 48 years of experience me 28 and 20 for him and this associate puts himself as a meat cutter at this store he never spent 20 min on the meat block or pork block because all he was here was a chicken packer and clean up guy with the title of a utility clerk he doesn't have no right to call himself a meat cutter until you put the training an time to be titled a meat cutter it's a great trade to be called this not a game you play with meat cutter reputation where they work hard to put out the best quality and fresh meat for the customer to take home and enjoy with there family and friends me as an employee's a Food Giant I and my manager and fellow associate work hard to put out the freshest and quality cut for our customers our ad prices are lower than most grocery stores compare them with any big food chains I don't have to tell you the top 3or4 you know them we'll our deli has 1 of the best fried chicken around and our produce is fresh as any stores around so all of you who listen to a want to be meat cutter about quality and freshness your missing out on the great ad's we put out weakly so come on in and check out our store and judge it for your own shopping experience instead of listening to someone who lied about being a want to be meat cutter see you at the store will cut anything you need for the dinner table or cook out at the spring have a great day.

Need improvement on cashiersI asked if she was open I only had 3 things she said yes but continued to ignore me as she was talking to her co worker I sat there for a good time finally I said I would like to be rung up and she states she is training someone in the that front office so I am to wait for you to train someone not casiering when you just rung a person in front of me up and you walked away when it was my turn and I asked are you open and you said yes the best thing was to ring up my 3 items instead of making me wait 10 minutes of your so called training another person or better yet train when you do not have a customer waiting so this sounds like your training was not good for yourself to make a line of customers wait for your training someone and management shouldn't have the cashier Train and ring up customer not good customer service.

Story from a friend"Anyone if you find yourself in the Woodville area try and refrain from shopping at the food Giant. As an employee that is about to resign due to these issues and the fact that nothing is being done about them not really the area of interest in the store is the meat market I've been a meat cutter here for the last 4 or 5 months although I've been at the store for closer to a year. The market manager has little to no regard for the well-being of customers I would say probably a good 70% of the meat in the meat case has already gone out of date it's just been taken to the back and it's been re-labeled the meat flipped over or taken to a sink and sprayed off with the water hose. Not to mention all of the out of date beef.... It doesn't get thrown away. It's ground up into the hamburger or ground chuck with a tube of still pink ground beef to get rid of the grey/brown color.The number of food born bacteria that can come from this and get a person really sick is huge and the crazy part is that it's been brought up to Smitty Stephens and Eddie the regional manager about Mr Charles smiths action and the safety protocols he's ignoring just so his gross profit numbers look good and neither of them are doing anything about it, not even saying anything. Plus the blatant misconduct and mistreatment of employees is unreal. We're numbers. That's it. So if you wanna get sick at some point like the sound of salmonella or e coli or worse come on down to the Woodville food giant and get yourself some meat."

Since the new owners taken over is an awesome place the old owners change cashier's like changing underwear hiring then firing for everything they had on the Wednesday special ( add )they never had

It's a hit or miss, after 2pm don't expect anything from the deli.Sad. No chicken at dinner time and most the time long wait to check out...grrrr

Always love the pastry choices here, but wish they would get a better fruit selection. Sadly it's almost nonexistent. The staff are always so sweet and helpful.

The food is good especially on Wednesdays 16 piece dark 6.99 cant beat especially when u have a house full..my only down fall is this one lady in the back she is really rude. Other than that great place to get groceries.

Firstly, the vegetables were very fresh nothing priced to sell because it was old stock. The meat section was not disappointing, freshly cut beef, pork, chicken, turkey in portions I really appreciated. The smoked neck bones was the greatest i have purchased in 20yrs. A very clean and well stocked food store. Hence the name Food Giant. Thank you for your hard work!!!!.

Hard to get them to answer the phone at the deli and they need to get a handle on orders called in days in advance. Twice I've shown up to pick up my order and they hadn't even started on it or lost my order! It's good chicken but they need to answer the phone in the Deli instead having to call back numerous times and put on hold forever.

This is our Go to when it comes to grocery shopping for Meat and chicken is super convenient and there Meat is super affordable . Bought a pack of 10 drumsticks for $1.89 such a great deals !!

Went to the Deli to get some lunch the food was amazing the staff was helpful and friendly. Victoria and Kerrie are the best cooks and gave a variety of choices and we'll seasoned food. I almost gave up on getting food here but the food has been consistently good since they hired new cooks. The fry cook Lil C was the bomb the chicken was fried just right and at a great price. These girls need raises.

The chicken is good if u can get it fresh, I drive from Monticello to get their chicken, the only thing that I don't like is when they don't take the feathers off the chicken before u Fry it.nobody wants chicken with the feathers still on it.

The store is the only grocery store in the area. The prices are high. Fresh fruit very high priced. The place is limited on selection due to its small size. The deli is very good. The meat dept is also very good. Long wait to check out. 4 or 5 lanes but only one open. Parking lot trashed. Large area of parking in standing water after a thunderstorm.

I like it for a small grocery store and not a big giant chain. They are employee owned, have pretty decent prices and always ask if I found everything I was looking for. They also have sour cream and chive potatoes which I haven't been able to find at many other stores anymore. Why I don't know they are pretty tasty. They have a deli with pretty decent fried chicken. If I could make some suggestions it would be to get rid of the Kraft BBQ sauce, add some cattleman's and other BBQ sauces, more international delight coffee creamers and sugar free versions, some sugar free desserts. I'd actually give it 3 1/2 stars.

Awesome shopping experience. The employees are very helpful and nice. Especially the nice lady in the Deli that took time to ensure I was getting the best value for my lunch choices. You can't go wrong shopping for your groceries and quick meal options at this employee owned store. When you meet nice people also shopping here you know you are in the right place for your food needs. I had a good feeling when I walked out of here today knowing that my dollar was spent locally in an employee owned business.

I was extremely disappointed. I went to the deli Saturday. Ordered 25 piece mixed chicken. The young black lady working was rude to start with. She was NOT wearing gloves to serve people with. When my mom asked her about gloves she got an attitude. We waited 30 minutes for the chicken. Then when the chicken was done she helped multiple people who came up before us. Needless to say I don't think I will go back. They have great prices. But the NOT wearing gloves is not good!!! And our chicken wound up only being warm instead of hot!!!

Staff in the deli are rude. It's hard to get waited on and for is dry looking like it's been sitting for a while. You can't get chicken for dinner because they close to early.

Food giant is a nice little hometown store with that hometown feeling. Most the staff is very friendly, and helpful. However, if your looking for a quick in and out that usually doesn’t happen because the cashiers have one set speed, SLOW! They take a little too much time socializing with certain customers.My only big complaint about this store is the fact they sell NO PEPSI!! And no plans in near future to change that.

Since the store became employee-owned, it has done a 180 degree turn. Smells better for one and is very clean. The deli food is very good even though most of the vegetables are from cans. Food Giant is overpriced probably because they are a small grocery store and need to make money. But it's worth it if you need to run in and grab a few items. The employees are so friendly and helpful.

The store was very clean. Meat department produce, and groceries were all well stocked. The deli was well stocked with a variety of ways that looked real inviting. I chose the 8 piece dinner mixed with collard greens and squash. I must say they were the best I had eaten in a while. I also bought a small dish if baby green limas and they were very excellent as well. Will recommend anyone to visit the deli at Food Giant in Woodville.
