I had a disappointing experience with the customer service at Walgreens. I initially faced rejection for a simple prescription due to a misunderstanding about insurance, without any attempt to verify payment options. After being transferred to another staff member who found nothing on my profile, I had to show documentation to prove my order. Despite this, I was simply told that nothing could be done except to contact my doctor for a new prescription the next day. The whole ordeal was frustrating and unprofessional. I hope they improve their communication and handling of such important matters in the future.

If we could give 0 stars, we would.For many years, we have been using Walgreens for our prescriptions in every city in which we've lived. This location has got to be the absolute WORST in the entire chain. From the nasty pharmacist on duty to the other people working there, they have zero respect for customers and their needs. We have been going round and round with them for months now on a particular RX that both our physician and insurance have approved. Every month they do not fill the RX despite us requesting it through their online service. Today was particularly horrendous, as we waited an hour in line only to be told it wasn't ready due to it not having been approved (this turned out to be a lie; we immediately contacted the insurance company who stated it had been approved), then called numerous times, only to be told more lies, then returned two more times just to be treated horribly and only receive part of the prescription. Both the assistant AND the pharmacist nastily informed us we were welcome to pay out of pocket for the remainder if we wanted it that badly -even though we were approved for the complete RX and should have automatically received the entire medication.Customer service and common decency are absent from this Walgreens Sun City Center location. You get hung up on when you call? Too bad. You're waiting forever for your prescriptions that never seem to get filled correctly? Not their problem. They don't respond to inquiries? They're too busy and have "other customers" - meaning you're just not that important to Walgreens. They openly and blatantly lie to you? So what. Deal with it. The staff at this location is extremely rude, nastily condescending, dismissive, and could care less about you and your needs.With all the pharmacies in this area, we're happy to take our business elsewhere and highly suggest you do the same.

This is the worst pharmacy that I have ever been to. Expect to wait at least half an hour to pick up medication, even if they are not busy. If they are busy, then you are better off just coming back at another time. They have also called me before stating that my medication was ready to be picked up but when I arrived they said that they did not have the medication. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

People "PLEASE" count your medications when you get them. I was shorted 10 pills on "FIVE" different times and at "TWO" different locations. I don't know how long this has occurred with me, I'm glad I followed my mind and started counting my meds. I used Walgreens for years and is very disappointed when this happened. Now that I use a different pharmacy I feel safe to share this experience.

First of all we should all be overjoyed that walgreens new CEO is making over $17 million a year plus stock options.It would be nice if he cared enough about his customers to hire enough people to serve them.I spent 45 minutes on the phone, getting hung up on after 15.When I finally reached an actual person they told me to come in the next day. I did and found they lost my Rx and hunted for it for an hour. The 1 lady was frazzled.

This is by far the worst pharmacy to exist. It takes them forever to fill medication. When are in line. Your wait time is between 2 to 3 hours. just to get to the window for them to tell you that your medication is not even ready. As long as it takes them to fill your medication, you would think there’s only one person working but they always have a full staff, so I’m not quite sure why it takes them so long to get medication together. They need to open up another Walgreens pharmacy in Sun City. Because this one is clearly overwhelmed with way too many patience. And some of their pharmacists are extremely rude when you’re just trying to get refills. If I were you, I would go to the CVS next-door.

Why all of a sudden is there a $3.99 delivery fee?Pharmacy is THE worst, I can never reach anyone to speak with, constantly put on hold, without even an acknowledgement. I'm trying to take care of others who use them as their pharmacy, so I have no choice but to deal with it.Corporate better open their eyes and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. But, they won't because they have plenty others who will keep them in business. Very frustrating, like have a heart attack frustrating.

Some of the rudest cashiers we have ever encountered up in the front of the store. In the pharmacy area they always seem overwhelmed and can’t seem to handle the volume. We are sorry to say we have slowly moved most of our prescriptions and business elsewhere.

For what they are working through , they ar doing alright . Just got Winn Dixie’s whole load dumped on them and they were understaffed to begin with . If you don’t want to wait. In drive thru walk you a&@ inside . If you don’t want to wait period ,go somewhere else , entitled idiots

I went pick up a prescription Today 4/1/2024 around 7pm of clock the lady tell me was not ready that is going to be ready in 30-45 minutes. I went two hours later now they tell me that is not ready that try to call arround 11:00pm they are not answering the phone my kids are Diagnosis with Influenza A and need the prescription. I have a prescription from March 3 2024 that they never call to said that is ready. Now they tell me that they don’t have it on stock.

There should be an option for 0 stars. This has been the worst Walgreens I’ve ever used. The drive thru literally takes hours. They text you or you will get an automated call from them that the prescription is ready, then you get there and it’s not. It has happened many times.

Walgreens on North Pebble Beach at Sun City the pharmacy department was already busy before Win Dixie customers came over . January 4 until today January 6 2024 at 2:00 pm they tell me I can pick up the meds while I have been calling because my daughter is going through a mental crisis and still now I have to wait an hour to pick plus another hour waiting on line whether inside or drive thru is the same wait , well shame on Walgreens is time to find a small local pharmacy that can attend to our needs in case of emergency like the need for my daughter because just for this meds they had on hold she could end in a hospital for who knows how many days .Sorry Walgreens but you failed my family when we need it the most .-1 star

Prescriptions are never ready. My husband's doctor called in a prescription on Friday Dec. 29 and today is Jan. 3rd and still no prescription. Every time I call, there is a different story. This pharmacy is unreliable.

I am trying to call the pharmacy to see if they can expedite a prescription for my sister that she has been waiting for since the weekend. I keep getting placed on hold without even taking the time to ask me if I'd like to continue on hold or to at least let me know that they're with a customer and they'll be right back. They just pick up the phone and place me back on hold.I hung up and called back to speak to the pharmacy manager, once again they didn't even say a professional greeting of any kind. They just picked up the phone and placed it on hold. This is why I moved my prescriptions to CVS.The only person at the pharmacy that is a great Sujith Idiculla. Walgreens should make sure they take good care of their great employees and take a deeper look into the culture of their stores.

I’ve used Walgreens pharmacy at several different locations for over a decade. This Walgreens’ pharmacy is hands down the worst I’ve ever used. The pharmacist should be forced to undergo remedial customer service training. Absolute worst!

Attempted to get my Covid test through the drive-thru option. They have both lanes open. While waiting, I call to make sure that there wasn’t a specific lane dedicated for Covid testing. The gentleman on the phone informs me that both lanes are open for testing. I get to the front of the line and hit the “Call” button. Both times a man picks up and says, “We’ll be with you in a moment” and hangs up. I call a 3rd time and a woman picks up. I explain the situation and all she has to say is that the left lane is for Covid tests. I tell her there is no sign specifying this and the gentleman on the phone said both lanes were open. All she would care to reply with was, “Sorry. Left lane is for Covid testing.”I understand it’s busy (seen in the photo), but show a little concern and consideration. If this is the standard of service at this establishment, never coming back here.Update: as you pull up further in the left lane, there is a sign that’s facing the building (see photo), away from traffic so no one, unless you’re the 2nd car in the left lane can see.

This location is very accessible and easy to find. Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the store items. This store has become my favorite for all my personal items needs. I highly recommended this store.

The absolute worst pharmacy ive ever been to. Don’t count on getting your prescription fast. Takes days for it to be ready then you’ll sit in line for an hour plus just waiting to pick it up.

I am a 64 year old woman living alone with severe symptoms of Covid. I called this particular Walgreens pharmacy midnight Saturday night June 17th 2023. I was in severe body ache pain and wanted to inquire about ibuprofen and dosage recommendations etc. The pharmacist was rude, not engaged and dismissive. He told me to look on the back of the bottle. I tried to inform him that I was laying in bed with a fever and did not have the bottle in front of me. The pharmacist’s answer to me, “I don’t have the bottle in front of me either.” I was completely shocked at this disrespectful behavior. This is how your pharmacist communicated to a customer bedridden with Covid.I was not treated with compassion, kindness, empathy, care or concern. I was treated like I just woke him up. I was treated with disrespect. I was shut down and made to go away. It is Very sad, Walgreens, that this behavior is acceptable in your store. Sadly, Long gone are the days where we treat one another with kindness and respect.I have read all of the reviews. Not understanding why Walgreens chooses to run this store with zero integrity

My overall experience here is the lack of customer service but the one bright star is the pharmacist Daniel who works overnight. Answers all my questions with no attitude and genuinely cares. He is the only reason I gave this Walgreens a 3 star. They need more like him.

This place is a joke and should be closed and investigated thoroughly for malpractice. My mother in law is in her 70's dying of stage 4 cancer and this place will straight up refuse to fill some of her much needed medication for no apparent reason. The customer service is non existent and yet they are allowed to keep operating this way. It's a shame, because many people rely on this pharmacy and it's obvious the employees and management do not care. And whoever the pharmacist(s) is/are, they deserve to be in jail or worse. I can only hope they develop cancer and get denied necessary medications they way they do to others.

This walgreen's has the rudest pharmacy tech in the world!!! I went to this location because I have an eye infection and the pharmacies in my town did not have the medicine i needed. I went to the drive thru because my local pharmacist was waiting for their call to transfer the prescription. Upon speaking with the tech (Hispanic female), she was rude right from go. She told me that it could take up to 48hrs. I explained to her that my pharmacist was waiting for their call and she rudely dismissed me. I went inside to speak with the pharmacist and she spoke over the pharmacist basically stating she handled my situation already when she really hadn't.Sun City is comprised of a community of senior citizens and she was even being rude to them! People go to the pharmacy because they have an illness and are in need of medication. This fact was no concern to this tech because she was rude, dismissive and had a very disrespectful attitude to the customers.An authority figure needs to have a stern talking to with her because this was totally unacceptable for anyone but especially to someone with a medical issue.I was finally able to receive my medication and start the healing process but it was in spite of not because of this extremely rude pharmacy technician.

Extremely rude customer service terrible telephone etiquette ! Was left on hold for more than 30 minutes sometimes when they would answer the hold they wouldn’t even speak just immediately place me back on hold, when I finally got to speak an say don’t hang up please they immediately put me back on hold. I’m a cancer patient and very I’ll currently I shouldn’t have to go into the pharmacy to get someone to speak to me and this is extremely rude and a complete disregard for human decency I will be moving all of my prescriptions elsewhere!!Edit: it is feb 2024 and I’m currently dealing with the EXACT same issue. I wish I could give them less than one star. It is EXTREMELY rude to just keep placing someone on hold without acknowledging them or letting them know you haven’t forgotten them, it’s been 25 mins so far and I’m still on hold
