They just raised their boat rental rates by 50% (up $100)! We used to love renting boats every year from SeaHag, but this service is now becoming less viable. Plus their rental boats all seem to have frequent problems with engines overheating regularly lately. We'll consider other options in future.

Docked our boat here for several days waiting for good travel weather. Love the floating docks. Easy access to fuel, water, and garbage cans. Everything you could need for fishing and upstairs lots of boats parts. Laundry room as well. Huge patio. Fun to catch cat fish caught off the dock. Our sailboat draft is 5 ft. so they put us on the outside of dock.

Made a reservation for a slip. Was never told they have no power on any of the slips. Apparently power is an extra and if we didn't ask if they have power then that's on us. They say some people stay but choose to forego power and run their generator at the dock all night instead. Why would I run a gas gen all night paying for fuel and breathing in fumes when I could pay $8-$10 for an electrical hookup? I don't believe many people who have electric on their boat would choose to do that. Another employee told me they are specifically supposed to alert anyone making a reservation that they do not have power but no one told us. We'd have stayed elsewhere had we known, but arriving at 9pm there was no way to contact anyone somewhere else to ask if they have power. I get that the hurricane caused great damage and these places are trying to rebuild. But I was met with such defensiveness, told they'd apologized repeatedly (they hadn't, still haven't, and what is that worth?) and a refusal to give more than a 5% discount for our inconvenience and discomfort. Hot night, no AC, no CPAPs, food on-board that will go bad without refrigeration etc., but a defensive apology 3 days later is supposed to be good enough. They'd rather take money for what would have been an empty slip for the night than to provide proper customer service and do the right thing.

Great option for boat rentals during scallop season. This marina is a one-stop shop with just about everything you could possibly need. Their snorkel equipment is a little pricey, so don't forget yours at home. It's a joy going to Sea Hag every year. They know what they're doing. It's also a family owned business that gives back to the community, especially after hurricane Idalia flooded the town.

Fishing community, so definitely keep that in mind.Fun relaxing place to comfortably kick off your shoes. If 5star is what you're looking for, this isn't the place.A place place where the kids can have fun, swim, fish and you can just relax, this is it.That photo is "not" for rent; at least I've never seen it in 8 years.Try it, you might just enjoy the time away from home.

This is a bit of a late review but …I was in need of a Christmas present from Steinhatchee and I am so glad that I stumbled upon their website online. I gave them a call and they had great customer service!I was not in Florida at the time, so I couldn’t go in the store to pick out a present. As a solution, the staff at the gift shop were super helpful and even texted me pictures of the shirts I wanted to gift and sent me the various styles they had!I’m giving them a 5 stars because they delivered the gift on time and were extremely helpful considering that I was not able to make the purchase in person, they made the process easy. Next time I’m in Florida, I’ll be sure to come back and try out their rooms

We've been renting the lion fish. Number twenty four about six or seven years now... And every time we come, it's in worse and worse shape.... Meanwhile, all the better cabins around me are getting renovated...... This time, both shower knobs were stripped out... The window unit in the master bedroom went out about 3 years ago and has still not been replaced It's only about a $150 for 1 of those window units..... Very poor for the amount of money we spent here... We love coming but I think we're gonna look for a different lodging place Next scalping season.

Went out of here last Friday with a local charter. Parking was close. The fish cleaning area was super helpful. The bathrooms could be bigger. They only have a single toilet in the mens. After a day on the water, I had to pee bad and had to wait for 4 other guys. No bar or restaurant onsite that I saw either, however, BYOB was in affect ;)

I did not go to the marina. I was traveling through at the time. I like boat docks and I saw a sign so I went down there to check it out. Thereis a beautiful dock/ramp area next door that would probably be a nice place to watch the sunset after dinner. The grounds are well maintained. And if you use the marina or the boat dock/ramp they do have a huge lot to park your trailer and vehicle in. Sorry about throwing in the 65 lb puppy pictures. But it was her first time on a floating dock.

Absolutely loved our stay and time there! They have very comfortable & cute cottages along with everything you possibly need inside of their store & marina. You can park your boat there in one of their boat slips or just trailer it every evening and unload it every morning not a mile down the road at a public boat ramp as well.We had a blast Scalloping every day and can't wait to go there again, therefore we are going to have to go again this year and not even wait till next year!

Sea Hag Marina is a really nice marina. They have brand new docks, boat slips, fuel for boats and even water and electric hook ups for boats. They have bait of all kinds live and frozen and fishing tackle of all kinds. Also carry boat parts like props and other items.A really nice fish cleaning station area with room for a dozen people at one time is super nice and clean.Cold drinks, ice, and a really nice outdoor seating area. Outdoor beer & bar is almost fished also.Sea Hag also rents really nice cute cottages right across the street from it.They really have done a great job updating everything. They also have Charter Cahoots based at the Marina of you want a local guide to take you out, both Inshore and offshore.

We stayed at the Sea Hag large villa (two villas put together (4 large and 3 single beds)) and it was spacious. The beds were the thick foam mattresses (firm/hard which is not my preference) the linens were soft and high quality. The place was extremely clean. The towels and wash rags were nice as well. The kitchen items were good and well maintained for a rental. There were even some additional basics like salt, pepper, coffee, and olive oil there. While there was plenty of space, the seating (couches) were lacking in comfort in one side if the villa but it worked fine for us. It was centrally located for the boat ramp(s) and they accommodated 12 adults well. If you are looking to house a large group this is an option. If you only need to house a smaller group I'd recommend the villa with the 2 queens and 2 single beds (better seating area and overall space (smaller kitchen but plenty of space to make up for it)). If a soft bed and comfy furniture are a deal breaker for you, skip on this villa. If it isn't then consider staying here. As a group we would go back but may still consider other options.

Sea Hag is a great spot on the river for all of your scalloping needs! We stayed in a few of the cottages and enjoy walking across the (not busy) street to the marina, jumping in the boat and heading West the short run out of the river to the scalloping grounds. We haven't fished the area but I'm sure you can find what you are looking for.

We rented a little boat with a canopy top and went out fishing. You can buy bait right there. All nice young people working. Busy. The young men who get you on the boat and describe everything to you are above and beyond helpful and quite cute too. A great day out with no hassles.
