I called in advance for some black hammered Rust-Oleum paint, and instantly the woman I spoke with knew what I was talking about, informed me that they have four cans in stock, and actually put two of them on hold for me.I don't remember both ladies names, but Joyce and her coworker was awesome!!They were interactive, a lil chatty, they have my dog Bella some treats after getting her to do a couple of tricks. This location is a little further from me than the one I normally go to in pasadena, but the customer service is top notch, so I'm definitely returning at some point!

Worked with Adam to get a set of composite chairs and a table purchased. Felt like our business mattered to them. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. They have a really great selection with a lot of top brands (Milwaukee/Dewalt/Yeti) etc. They have a lot of what you need in a relatively small store and are there to help.

I love this hardware store. It feels as if I am transported back to my childhood in the 80s, where nuts and bolts were sold individually, and you could pack them in a small bag and use a pencil to write down the quantity.

this is a great hardware store friendly and so helpful - i have never gone and not found what i was looking for for - it is managed in the most excellent and efficient manner - clean and organized and did i say helpful- small compared to home depot so you can go in and get out without it being a big endeavor- highly recommend

“Local Guides” Who said that prices are comparable to big box stores are lying. Not even close. However, I don’t expect big box prices for convenience. Having said that, they are WAY overpriced. For larger ticket items or multiple items, I’ll do the drive.

Top notch service and selection, delivered with smiles from people who care. Employees here want you to find the items you need, get your questions answered, and enjoy your experience in their store. The store itself is impressive: fully stocked from floor to ceiling, well lit and organized, and so colorful! When I was checking out, another employee was helping an elderly lady carry her belongings while she exchanged an item. We all had fun talking about beach chairs while the clerk took care of our transactions. Everyone left True Value happy that day!

Didn’t seem to care.Asked guy at front where keys are cut. He points me to counter 30 feet away. I ring the bell…nothing. I wait and ring it again…nothing. I walk back to the guy idling at the front counter and ask if anyone is working in the key shop. He responds, yes. So I tell him that no one is answering the bell. He says, yeah, he’s with someone right now in another area. My gosh, why not tell me that from the beginning or walk a few feet and let me know when I’m standing there ringing the bell, which he could certainly hear. I walked out and went to Ace Hardware in Pasadena. Had two keys made immediately and was out in less than 5 minutes.

Prices are usually comparable to the major chains, very reasonable. Staff is so friendly and helpful! Not sure how they fit so much stuff in a small store but they ALWAYS have what I need. My go to for everything. Sorry Home Depot, they've gotcha beat.

I found out that I was dealing with incompetence at Crowder's Hardware. I came in with a M6x1.0x50mm (I didn't know the size at the time) screw/bolt needing a longer one (55-60mm). They told me my screw was an M7x1.0x50mm and they did not carry M7s. Anyway, after I order and receive (5) M7x1.0x60mm on the internet for $10.5 (obviously now wasted money I will never get back) do I find out it is the wrong size and that Crowder's Hardware likely had what I needed all along. The advantage of Home Depot and Lowe's is they hire competent people. They don't hire friends and family.

Purchased 2 PVC outdoor chairs for $1,000. There was a table that matched the chairs the owner told us it cost $400 and we were not sure if it would fit in our space. After setting up the chairs we decided to go back and get the table. One of the store employees was helping us and told us the table was $500!! I asked to speak to the owner but he wouldn’t come out To speak with me. They knew we wanted the table and jacked up the cost to list price. Horrible experience. i have shopped there many many times. They are not trustworthy and I will not go back. They lost a good customer2/19/2020 Update. I purchased the table at another Ace hardware not associated with this store. They had to order the table for me. I was charged $400 which included shipping & assembly. I will post the receipt if you would like to see it.

Only recently began going to this hardware store. They seem to have a little bit of everything plus friendly and knowledgeable employees. All the pluses without searching a big box store. This has become my prime hardware store and is locally owned. Let's keep our purchases in our neighborhood.

In brief, Doug the manager, was absolutely awesome. He knows his way around every nook and cranny of his store and was extremely helpful and understanding on the nature of what I needed. I gave always been a proud supporter of ACE stores because they keep the neighborhood dynamic in local hardware stores and this St Pete Beach location is just another example of that. This is just that latest example of tight spots that this store has saved me from. Not only just for hardware but also in devising solutions to accomplish the goal at hand. Thanks to the entire staff and Doug for managing a great team.

Terrible return policy. I was told, no receipt, no return. Since I lost my receipt, I was willing to accept a store credit, but no way. No one, but no one refuses to accept some form of return. Especially from a regular customer who has shopped there numerous times since they opened. This policy speaks volumes about who you are dealing with and I will take the extra time to go elsewhere.

Very helpful staff and willing to walk you through your project etc. I had to hang a very large picture and the guy knew exactly what I needed. They have all sorts of things like bbq's and chairs as well as nuts and bolts etc. Take a look at them before Home Depot and Lowes. They are local and helpful!

This place is wonderful. Great parking. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, and very courteous. The site is very easy to spot from the road. There is an ADA entrance.This place is a SMALL Home Depot. Everything you may find at HD; you can find near your property. From keys, paint, business signs.. indoor/outdoor products. Ty

A family owned and operated mom and pop that makes you feel like your in a small town hardware store and guess what - you are. They have an awesome selection of all the hardware store basics along with some unexpected surprises (like jewelry for that last minute gift and retro soda pop). An awesome an knowledgable staff and great service. Make sure to stop in.
