Recently moved to the area and found this feed store. The Spanish guy behind the counter gave us a good experience but today we came in and there was a older white lady that gave us nothing but a rude attitude as if she was judging us before we walked into the store. She was price gouging $20 extra on bales of hay compared to other local stores which is ridiculous and she didn’t understand the difference between the feed for kid goats and full grown goats. I’ll never come back here and will gladly take my business to the Winning Circle Feed Store which treated us very nicely, knew exactly what we we’re looking for and charged us half price of the same hay we asked for. Do yourself a favor and avoid coming here unless you want to be ripped off and treated like you’re dumb.

The vet that comes once a month is a life saver! She is amazing and helps out with vaccines for our dog for cheaper! We absolutely love Thai place! Thank you guys for all that you do! Just came here again and found a bunch of cool treats for my dog. Some are even home made which I like for my dog!!

Randomly stopped to pick up some dog food. Picked up 2 bags of value pack orange bag. And asked for a roll of cow hay. I was told they wouldn’t load the hay on my trailer because their tractor won’t handle it. So I pay for the dog food and was charged $43.99 per bag. (Wow)! The current price at ranch hand in brooksville is $32.99 for that same bag of dog food. 😡I called them and asked to return it because it’s way much more expensive than my regular feed store. They said no refunds what so ever.Definitely won’t be returning!Price gouging, and on top of that just flat out rude.

When we moved to Spring Hill in 2018 we purchased our hay here. Great customer service then. Hay quality changed so we switched to another feed store which was actually closer to our home. I returned recently to purchase hay from Shady Hills. The older women behind the counter had a nasty attitude. Instead of welcoming an old customer who had returned she was very put out by me being there. "looks like YOU haven't been here in awhile, what the place you've been going run out of hay" Not only the attitude but I had called before I went for the price of the round rolls and was told $85.00. She charged me $90.00 PLUS I gave her my debit card and she used it as a credit card and charged me a $5.25 credit card convenient fee without even telling me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE. RUDE AND OVERCHARGES YOU!

Normally I’ve had no issues with this store and have an account with them but this hay shortage has made them very rude and unsympathetic towards horse owners. I have come twice to buy round bales and was rudely interrupted and told “hay is for clients only” I informed them that I was indeed a client and live nearby . I was sold a round bale but was made to feel as my business was not liked. I then called again today to see if they had jay and was told hay for clients only to which I again said I do have an account and have bought hay several times. My hay purchase history was verified by a staff and told you haven’t bought hay since last year which was incorrect. I than explained that Marcy tends to come pick up my round bales as I have a very busy schedule. “We’ll you only get one a week remember that”Very unprofessional and rude behavior. I’m a shady hills resident and have never given them a reason to treat me this way. I’m just trying to feed my horses and I get argued with and made to feel like I’m not important enough to but hay there.

I will not buy my hay there again. The first time I bought hay there (timothy/alfalfa mix) the quality was ok but not great. The second time the quality was poor. Little to no alfalfa and timothy in the bales.

Buyer beware! Check the dates on the food and meds before purchasing. Our horses wouldn't touch the hay for some reason either. I'll never go back and always warn family and friends to steer clear of this place.

The staff here is great! They can answer questions and if they can't help, they try and give you another way or place for help. More supportive than big box stores in my opinion.

Great staff. Highly educated in their field. Vet clinic monthly held usually on Saturdays. Always willing to help am if they dont have an item or an answer to,your question, they will take your info an get back to you as soon as they get what you are needing. This is my family's go to feed store.

Very nice people and it's family-owned. Have everything you need for pets big and small from hamsters to horses LOL and what they don't have they can get. I personally was getting flea medication and heartworm medication for my dogs. They sell them by individual pill which makes it a lot cheaper and a lot easier then having to go to the veterinarian every time you need the medication. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I tell all my friends and family to get their flea medication or food anything they need for their animals from the store. I live about 30 minutes away and it's still always worth the drive.

Shady hills=shady placeGood place to go if you want to lose $300. Otherwise I wouldn't take your business there. We lost $300 in the effort to "make a payment." Little did I know they would turn around and tell us they would try and sell our merchandise to other people, go back on our deal, and then blame us for it not getting sold to those other people and use it to justify why they won't give us our money back.

I think the woman that works in the store is nice. But if the owner is going to raise prices she needs to tell her employee to relay the raise to her customers instead of being shocked.
