RUDEST WORKER ON EARTH. Middle-aged smaller woman, angry as the day is long. Simply walked in the store and asked if they rented generators, as they do have a sign showing that they have generator service-"NO WE DO NOT," --- with looks that could kill, who treats a customer like this?

I’ve been a loyal customer since the opening of this store. I went to get some mulch when I was rudely yelled at by a worker when trying to load mulch into my truck. I spend more than $1000.00 annually at this store…no more. I needed more mulch after this visit so I took my business to Lowe’s where I will continue to shop from now.

Always helpful employees. Days can get stressed but they still smile. I can find things her as the aisles are clean and organized. If I can't find it, Jesi, Austin or George can find it!

As a small business owner, it is a huge blessing when you can save time and money by getting the things you need at your nearest and most convenient location. Carter's Ace Hardware in Sorrento is just that location. While the store and staff accommodate to the brands standard, Austin Salvo goes above and beyond. He is the most knowledgeable Stihl technician hands down. I have wasted so much time and money chasing down parts and supplies from dedicated lawn and tree equipment dealers over the years. However, now that I know Austin, those problems are a thing of the past. Not only is this young man an expert with every product Stihl has to offer, he is also proficient with most other small engine equipment manufacturers. Mr. Salvo exceeds my expectations in every way, everytime. Call Carter's Ace Hardware in Sorrento and ask for Austin. You won't be disappointed

Chainsaw blade was put in wrong box and when finally figured it out both the guy that helped me at first and the big woman with the mustache copped an attitude with me for pointing it out like I was at fault. Now this a Super Store. This Ace Hardware is on Steroids. It is packed full of anything you would need or want. The staff is helpful and really nice. They had the Bahaia grass seed in stock that I was looking for.

Shout out to Austin in Sorrento for his amazing customer service and for going above and beyond on our new lawn mower for husbands Birthday. He was truly surprised. I am a rewards member and have shopped at Ace for years. I ordered two six gallon gas cans to be delivered to my home. I was busy working and not able to hear or use my cell phone. They called twice. My wife called to find the status of the order and was told they had it and had called. They promised delivery the next day. They didn't deliver them. On the third day I went to the store to pick up my purchase. I was shocked at how customers were being talked to and the obvious turmoil within the employees, they acknowledged the error but kept stating they had called even though my wife had spoken with them.. I will never shop this location again. Bad customer service!!!

Our family moved to Sorrento in 2009 and this store has been a loyal store to shop and the employees have been fantastic! However, new employees are NOT the same! I have returned Fiskars shear three time to get a new replacement on them over the years. Not today!!!! The young gentleman said they would return them and left them at the counter for check out BUT the older lady and man both agreed they do not do this!!!! Oh well....that is the end of shopping at ACE period!!!

Just okay. I come here sometimes looking for things I need around the house and I never really get approached by staff unless I chase them down. And when I do catch up to them, it’s like they are so inundated with whatever they’re doing for their manager or around the store, that they talk to you like you’re interrupting them. One time I walked in and asked the lady at the front who was leaning on the counter doing nothing if could get some help carrying some firewood to my car from an employee. I have scoliosis and can’t lift. She said yes and told me to go to the side and wait. I waited 25 minutes for someone to come help me and then I just wound up doing it myself and dealing with the sore back because I wanted to go home and didn’t want to wait. That’s sort of the stuff that bothers me with this location. I enjoy their warehouse around the side which is packed full of additional items catering to local farmers and ranchers. In the aspect of product and selection, the store gets an C+ because they seem to always be out of one thing I need, which turns into a trip somewhere else. In the aspect of helpful staff, unfortunately, this specific Ace location has failed to impress me and receives a D grade.

Just had the most horrific experience. This pertains to their corporate offices more so than this local store. On Black Friday I ordered 3 tool boxes as gifts to be delivered to this store. My order was held for a week. Then I received an email stating so sorry, we just don't have any more. They oversold the product. To BAD for me, their terms & conditions fine print states that not only can they do this, but they could charge more if they chose to. Their solution was for me to please wait & call to see if maybe they have more in a few days before Christmas. No concern for the fact that I lost out on shopping somewhere else on Black Friday. No concern that they have these boxes is other warehouses that they could produce but their policy says they can only pull my order from a specific warehouse that services this area. No concern for the customer at all. NONE. Ace Hardware has gone down the tubes. Will not shop there ever again. They totally ruined the surprise I had planned for Christmas.

This store has your basic hardware repair needs. For lumber or flooring you'll have to go to a big box store. The can order some items.They have a nice selection of screws. The staff is very helpful. Unfortunately they are closed on Sunday. That's why I took a star off. I feel like Monday would be a better day for them to close. There have been quite a few times I needed items on a Sunday that I could have purchased from them, but had to drive further to an open store to get them.

Purchased 3 new propane tanks approximately two months ago. Had them filled with propane by them. One tank is not working. I was asked by one associate if the tank is light or heavy. I told him if you're asking if the tank is full the answer is yes. He then transferred me to Courtney. After explaining the problem and telling her another tank was placed on the grill and ignited immediately. She says my line from the grill to the tank could be bad. I could bring my tank in that was purchased two months ago and just filled with propane last week and I could pay for an exchange tank. Unbelievable. Both of them did not listen to the conversation and yes, it should be fully replaced by them. Received a call from zach Carter about my issue. After further discussing my issue he was willing and able to get it resolved. Thanks for your time and assistance in this matter.

Sorry ace, I usually like ace, but this staff gets a fail. First I came in to buy a chain saw, not a cheap item. $300 chain saw, and the clerk tells us when he hands it to us that his manager said he couldn't fill the gas tank because it wasn't authorized. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? $300 for a chain saw and you can't fill the 8oz or less fuel tank... cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap.

I have lived in the area for nearly 10 years, and frequent this Ace Hardware, because it is closer that Lowes or Home Depot, even though it is more expensive than the big box stores. But lately, the service at this location has been horrible. The cashiers have an attitude like they are doing you a favor by being there. No thank you, no eye contact, nothing. Everytime I walk in they are in the middle of a personal conversation with the other employees. Going forward, I will gladly drive the extra 6 miles to Lowes, where the product is less expensive and the customer service is more professional. Mr. Metz (manager) and Mr. Carter (owner) I hope you read this review and take action.

I've been to a few Ace hardware's around the central Florida area and after moving to Sorrento I wasn't sure what to expect from a small town, but the selection of products and knowledgeable staff are awesome. It has the same amount of variety that your big box stores would have but with pleanty of staff to help

Excellent service. They offer that small town personality and charm that the big box stores don't have. They are very convenient except for being closed on Sundays. I have been shopping here for over a decade.

This location is the Walmart of ace hardwares. Their inventory is rarely fully stocked, theyre usually out of stock of atleast one thing I need everyone i go there. If you need assistance trying to find something you have to go the the register for them to call for help, the rest of the staff is normally hiding in the back or actively avoiding eye contact trying to look busy to not have to help.Do yourself a favor, search for your closest Toole Ace Hardware location and just go there.

Husband John here ... I was having difficulty mounting training wheels on my granddaughter's first 2 wheeler. I had tried two different nuts, neither of which would thread on to the axle. Over two visits, Joseph was very patient and truly interested that I solve my problem. I brought the bike in on the second visit and he identified a peculiar thread problem and successfully resolved it. Know this is unsolicited and I did not know Joseph. The ace hardware in Eustis is a useless hardware store I called them they could not help me I just happen to stop at the ace hardware store in Sorrento which I find out of the same owners Courtney went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations and found what I was looking for which I’m sure the Eustis store had also And Priscilla at the register was also very helpful

Bought a weed whacker used it twice and it broke. Brought it back and had to pay 35 dollars to get it fixed possibly more. Dropped it off over a week ago and still no call/update on it.

This Has to be the worst ace store I’ve ever been to i’ve come here twice walked around looking for something the employees just walk right by me then other customer would walk by and they would say hi and ask them if they need help I am assuming it’s because of my color will never go back there again
