I think this campground is fantastic, but...The entrance is a bit tight for big-rigs. It is really exactly the right size and not larger. Swing wide. I had to take two tries to miss the gate. This park is mostly free-form. Drive on grass to reach the campsites.Since the park is 40 years old, the sites are narrow. Two sites are as wide as a site in a modern campground. The good thing is that the price is right for their size, and during my stay; only 10 of 28 sites were occupied. The campground is big-friendly in that the trees are trimmed and there is lots of space to maneuver. They have 50A and full hookups. My Verizon based internet was poor.

Very nice campground with excellent shower/bath facilities and a courteous, very helpful camp host.Four of us were doing a 222 mile bikepacking trip and stayed here on our second night out. Highly recommend!Restrooms: Excellent! Super nice showers!

It is a lovely park but tent can only set for 4 days but trailer can stay for 14 Day. That is very upsetting for me. Folks need to follow the rules set up and must give a name and address. But rules must be followed.Playground: It is very nice with plenty of room

A beautiful City Park with added attractions. A truly "hidden gem" we found by happenstance. Situated on a bend in the Sopchoppy river, this park boasts a lovely boat launch and about 25 rv sites. One must see it to appreciate all this park offers, including playground, showers and pavilion. At only $20 per night, it's hard to believe. Go to Sopchoppy and have a great vacation.

I rode my e-bike out here from Tallahassee and camped for the night primitive style. There is water and electricity with regular 120 volt outlets for charging your bike. The pavilion in the middle has bathrooms and showers. Nice location right on the river and close to "downtown" Sopchoppy. The town has a small grocery store, Civic Brewing for drinks and when I was there a food truck (Lex n Roll) with sushi and Thai food. All were great, but not much else, so you may want to bring your own camp food if that doesn't sound good to you.

Nice spot for a rest stop after a week of traveling and sightseeing.Water and electric hookups were fine, dump station is a little difficult to access with travel trailer, needed 2 lengths of sewer hose to reach the port.Playground: There is a large playground that appears to be well kept.Restrooms: Clean restrooms with free showers, they tell you the code for the doors at check-in.Picnic area: A covered picnic pavilion is attached to the bath house. It can be reserved for large gatherings. A child's birthday party was held there during our stay. Alcoholic beverages not allowed in public areas although campers may possess and consume within their campsite.

Small town, big park. Great place to bring the family for a day, or even a week! The campground shares space with the town park, offering inexpensive camping,a playhouse, stage and river access.Camping is first come, first serve with no reservations. The bathrooms and showers are dated, but well kept and spotless. With 20 or 30 amp services, some sites have full hookups as well.Downtown is a few blocks away, and has a taproom and a Dollar General that is nicely stocked.

This scenic park is more than your average city park. Its packed with a few surprises worth looking into. The price of "free " for day use is a breath of fresh air in an overtouristed market, where overcharging for nature's beauty is the norm. Also the option of reasonably priced night camping (tent or RV) with a gate code and shower house code is appreciated by this traveler on a budget for sure. The park is a good place for kids to play on equipment with plenty of picnic areas and chill spots for the adults nearby to supervise the kids while we chillax and enjoy ourselves as well. Not much traffic danger for the kiddos due to circle culvisac style roads at camp area. The boat ramp enters you into a river of clear and tea colored water that slowly flows in a pine tree meets palm tree, beach meets southern jungle, one of a kind ecosystem begging to be enjoyed by everyone from the on bank spectator to the paddleboard, kayak, and boat folks day tripping or slowly exploring the world. The flora and fauna are overwhelming in variety, the fish are hungry and plentiful, and the landscape is one of a kind memorable and unique. Please take time to enjoy this rare and special place before the business and wealthy weekend warriors ruin its God intended use.

I like stopping here to pee and stretch my legs driving back to the coast from Tallahassee. Clean bathrooms, pretty view of the river. I’m glad the city is investing in it. I’ve never camped here but I would.

This hidden gem is a beautiful place to have a picnic, let the kids play safely or have a birthday party. There's a beautiful boardwalk over the water and even a boat ramp. It's a peaceful, quiet place to park your RV or camper for the night.

This is s small city park with about 20 RV sites. Some have sewer hook ups. They all have water and 30 amp electricity. There is a camp host on site. He comes around twice daily to collect payments and make sure the accommodations are as intended. When you arrive, pick a spot and set up. No reservations. All first come, first served. The grounds are kept mowed. Trash receptacles aren't overflowing. There is a boat launch, swimming area, fishing pier and plenty room to stretch your legs. A small grocery store is less than a mile away. Gas, ice, and bait are all available locally.

This place is pretty great. First 10 sites(Poorly Marked) have full hook ups. The rest have everything except sewer but there is a dump station just off site. It’s quiet even tho full sites are on the road side, it’s a neighborhood road so minimal traffic when we were there, Tuesday thru Thursday.Check-in is on your own because the on site residents won’t come out so u do it on the porch. No big deal. They will come around n give u a receipt. There were only 2 people who obviously were living there but again no big deal. The place is Clean and Quiet. Bathrooms and Showers were recently redone and looked good. We used our camper so not first hand use.Our camper is 24’ and fit well. We have a dog and he enjoyed watching the squirrels.Boat launch, fishing, bird watching and just relaxing. Been here before will be here again.$20 a nite can’t beat it. 👍👍

Beautiful park with a nice little nature trail across the water and by the river. Bring bug spray guests mosquitoes can get bad sometimes. But the worst is the yellow flies. At this time there is no known remedy. Pray for those afflicted. They have an awesome 4th of July show as well

Great place to RV for a few nights. Full hookups for just $20 per night. First come first serve for the RV sites. Just park the RV in an open slot (by the back fence) and the park manager will swing by to collect the money. Sites 1-10 have full hookups. Sites 1 and 2 are only 30 amp, the rest are 50amp.

Love the City Park. Grew up here having been raised here, my kids raised here going to the city park is a special day for us. One thing though, they need to do some landscape maintenance around boat ramp and get all that concrete over spill up. Poor little girl feel and smacked her face on it.
