What an Amazing Pet Store! I have been fortunate to discover this pet store as it is like a regular pet shop but also has many more benefits as an exotic pet store & a specialty supply store. Animal Ventures not only impressed me with its uniqueness but also with how certain species of animals were displayed in their natural habitats; the animals on display are stunning in their own way. Yet the animals on display are just a part of the experience of animal ventures if you think you're ready for a pet and can properly take care of one the store sells all different species of common to exotic reptiles at a reasonable price and the Health of the animals I observe every visit to the store is great. The store always seems to have what I need whether it be supplies or feeders for my pet. If there is something you can't get such as a specific product to solve the issue just simply get in touch with an employee at Animal Ventures I promise they are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have had more customer experience time asking questions and being attended to by Kelsi a friendly highly knowledgeable employee there and with the owner Sonya. Both individuals I would highly recommend to anyone new or experienced in having a common or exotic pet. I highly recommend this pet supply store!

I only give two stars because the lady at the front desk was friendly. That’s about where the positivity ends.Pet shops are going to smell but cleanliness did not appear to be a priority at this location at the time I went. There was a lady in a wheelchair who just sat there the whole time and made me feel uncomfortable. And while I was talking to the nice lady at the front desk asking questions about setup costs for reptile habitat she jumps in with a “helpful suggestion” to YouTube it.It was truly off putting and I walked out.I will not be returning and will search out another more professional and welcoming reptile establishment. This one just happened to be the closest to me.Oh and that poor greyhound. I’ve never seen such a sickly dog. I asked if it was 16 based on appearance and it’s only 12 years old!!!The store seems to lack love and true compassion for the animals.The new baby lizard was referred to as a dollar amount.

This is the only local place you can find live feeder mice and rats in varying size. The workers are very helpful and very kind. The establishment itself though, absolutely wreaks of urine and is incredibly dirty. If you're looking for live feeder animals, they are great, but I really wish they would spruce the place up just a bit as the smell is nauseating.

So glad I found this little place! I was given a snake that was no longer wanted in an elementary school classroom and I brought it in to Animal Ventures to shop. The lady at the front was so helpful and able to get my slithery pet all set up. The store stayed busy and lots of people were coming in, but everyone seemed to be a regular and the lady at the desk knew what they wanted before they even asked. It isn't often you find a place that still believes in relationship and community. I'll def be back!

We come here every two weeks to stock up for our reptile babies. Owner is always nice and professional and it's such a cute little shop. We've never had a single problem with the feeders we buy for our dragons and snakes

The young girl at the counter was helpful and kind. Price of crickets and feeders weren’t bad. The owner could seem to care less that we even walked in, and didn’t even acknowledge us. The store itself is extremely small, has little selection, smelled awful and was filthy. There were so many flies everywhere inside. This store needs a deep clean and the animals they have there need better care. Not impressed, will not be returning. Do not recommend.

Good variety of feeder insects and rodents. However it's a Small location, very uncomfortable shop to be in if more than one or two people are inside. There have been a few times where I just went elsewhere because there were too many people just standing around inside.

Store was very gross. small enclosures for reptiles and multiple full grown bearded dragons in one small 20 gallon. Rude owner, poor girl working there was nice though. had at least 10 flies flying near my head the whole time and it smelt disgusting. High prices and not worth your time of day. These people are simply abusing these aniamls

Just strolling through, very small. But we immediately left once we saw the dead turtle on display..Most of the enclosures are very dirty, and everything has a pretty high markup.Would not recommend to anyone.

This place is not the place you should go to to get animals. The owner is completely rude. Animals are badly taken care of. We walked in to get feeder mice and she had this greyhound. Knowing greyhounds they are supposed to be skinny but not to the point you can see every single bone is that poor things body. Owner might have an "excuse" that it's old but my dog is 10 years old and looks nothing like that. The turtle bowls or containers are not clean at all. There is feces and other nasty stuff in it. If you look in the snakes tanks their water bowls are not big enough for them to get it. Snakes should be able to completely submerge their self in their water bowl. We've came here three or four times. The first time there was a coworker that was nice and wasn't rude. But every other time we've came the owner likes to make unwanted comments about what type of morph my snake is. Yes, she is a bumblebee and yes she has neurological issues but no that doesn't give her a right to make snide remarks about MY animal. I'm not breeding her and she's a pet. Then everytime we ask for hopper mice she asks what type of snake and how big my animal is. So we tell her then she likes to proceed to say I shouldn't feed my snake hopper mice. She then says I should feed them rats because then when she gets older she's going to want 10 mice. But baby rats have a low calcium. Hopper mice are plenty old enough to have enough calcium to be safe for my snake. I don't need a lecture how to take care of my snake. I've done my research looked at numerous websites and talked to numerous people and I've chose how I want to take care of my snake and she's doing amazing. I don't need rude snide comments on how to take care of my animal when you can't even take care of your animals in the shop.

The staff here have always been welcoming and friendly whenever I come into this store! Very reasonably priced and the owner has even gone out of her way to look for specific items to include in her next stock order for me! -2022Yikes… This business has gone down hill with the quality of staff/ownership.

I don’t usually go to pet shops, because the reputation they get never are good. BUT I found Animal Ventures, in the end of October. Sense then I have been back every week, multiple times a week to purchase my supplies and feeders.the best prices around. ( I’ve also purchased two of the baby ball pythons, you won’t get no complaints from me. Great prices, healthy, and great eaters.) Every time I go, and have a question I always get the answer or advice I need, and more! The owner is a very friendly, lady. Sometimes there is two younger girls that work, and they are just as helpful. My daughter loves to pet the dog that’s always there, while we shop. Support your local Pet Shop, not the big chains. 🐍🐢🦎

My husband and I have been coming here for a year now, not only is the owner friendly but she knows what she's talking about! She truly cares about every little and big animal in her store. She remembers us every time we walk in and greets us with a smile. We only go to her.

We are new to florida and this area , im so glad we found this reptile store . Mrs. Sonia is so helpful with all our questions and so patient its always a learning experience for my family, always welcomes customers the animals are always well taken care .we bought two ball pythons and a baby bearded dragon so we visit on a weekly basis for crickets and feeders for our snakes. Thank you for all your help. We so are grateful for your business:)

I was initially excited to visit this store but that excitement quickly faded. We were not greeted when we entered, the owner and an employee and the employees parent were too busy talking amongst themselves. Many of the animals had absolutely no water, bone dry dishes. A Chameleonwas seen on display in a tiny cage with no foliage, sticks, or anything with it and on top of that the pacman frogs for sale were showing clear signs of bacterial infections of the skin. Will not return. Won't even return to buy feeders because I simply to not trust it. Please do better, not for the customers but for the animals

I feel so bad for these animals. :( Not well kept at all. Every enclosure had feces and left over food. Nobody spoke to me when I walked in or left. Maybe they're going out of business?
